TDL is right, both his str and con are at 16.
Ye, I think he might have added his +2 human bonus to two stats.
Small mistake I guess :)
I've just read a little more on the Inquisitor, and it seems to me it's a fighting cleric with very nice abilities and some special feats.
So if you want either that 1 extra HP or the 1 extra damage, attack bonus and CMB ... That all depends on how he wants to play the character ofcourse.

Calla : looks good
Venmirl : Other then the ability score thing, I just want to make sure you know that you don't get the shield bonus of the klar when you attack with it (unless you have improved shield bash). Also, while you don't need to select them right now, don't forget that inquisitors get spells like bards and not clerics (i.e. no preparation but you only get a limited amount).
TDL : Just a little nitpick ... The family name you choose for Syeira (Deverin) doesn't really matches her background. It's the name of one of the cheliax noble families that established Sandpoint so it doesn't really fit for a non-noble (but rich) Varisian girl. Unless she already took the name of the gentleman she was supposed to marry, in which case it could have interesting developments :).

Man, I still didn't see that CON, sorry. I guess this is what happens when you can't sleep so you wake up at 5:30 am and pass the time by creating a character and then try to fix it by multitasking at work...
I meant to have STR, DEX, CON, and WIS all at 14 (4 x 5) with the +2 to STR, but I played around with different arrangements for a while before that.
OK here is the latest revision without the fancy formatting:
Venmirl of Skoan-Quah

rofl .. seriously .. I found that name by searching Pathfinder Names in google .. :)
I'll change it, because ... that would be a little odd and WAY to circumstancial for my tastes :D
Renamed to Syeira Iliosana.

Oh and one last thing I forgot ... Since many characters are already almost done, I think I'll select the 6 characters Friday. So, if any interested player hasn't already done so, try to summit at least a basic character concept (just the class and a quick background is fine).
Nice, good call giving the late bloomers a chance aswell :)
I must say, I really hope I get into this game. Although creating the character is half the fun too.
It's somewhat of a hobby besides the real roleplaying.
And pretty addictive too :P

I'd be happy to play this too, as a rogue-type, although I'm flexible if some other class is needed (and I hope I'm not too late).
Lafiel grew up in a small fishing village. When she was 10, raiders raided the village and grabbed all the children they could get so they could sell them for slavery. After a couple of weeks with them, Lafiel managed to escape from the raider camp and wandered in the wilderness for 3 days, eating almost nothing. She managed to find some city, and tried to beg for food, but with no success. With no other options, Lafiel started stealing food and pickpocketing people for money to buy herself the few things she needed. After a while, an old beggar woman ('The Vixen') found her, and added Lafiel to her gang of child thieves. Lafiel spent a couple of years with the old woman till her life changed again when the city guards managed to seize The Vixen and most of the children. Lafiel managed to escape and ever since, for about 5 years, Lafiel lives alone. She never had any "legitimate" job for more than a couple of days, and wanders the towns and villages looking for... something. Lately, Lafiel felt an urge to change her life. After hearing something about vast riches and great rewards for a vague quest, she decided that this is her opportunity to change her life for good.
Lafiel trusts no one but herself. After the sudden changes in her life she does not believe in anything or anyone other than herself (which is the reason she doesn't believe in any deity). Lafiel usually seems quite friendly, but she values herself above all else. Although she can cooperate with others to gain shared goals, as a survivor she's used to save herself, even if it means leaving others behind. The main motive for Lafiel is the promise of riches for herself, and other "usual" adventurer motives like honor, justice, fame and all kinds of religious motives seem very foolish for her.

I intend for Calla to become trained in Stealth when she becomes a ranger, but she's definitely not going to be a "great" sneaking character. And.. healing? What's that? :)

I went ahead and edited my char sheet post and added the spells I'll be using to it on the bottom.
Yeah, the shield bonus to the klar is a little funky and kind of a pain to use, but I had something in mind when doing so.
I am trying to equip and build Venmirl as per his history. He is new to "cosmopolitan" life and thus I wanted him to use the tools of his people, and you can't get much more Shoanti than using a klar IMO. Plus I wanted to progress to acquiring an earth breaker and then use that in combination with the klar after getting the Thunder and Fang fighting style feat outlined in CotCT A History of Ashes.
BTW, Pathfinder Wiki is such a great resource for combing through all of the resources to find what you need!

Ugh! The post eating monster strikes again!
I'd definitely be interested in this game. I've had this character idea kicking around for a while, but normally I'm the DM so they usually go unused. I've never run/played Rise of the Runelords though, and would love a chance to join your PbP.
Carin Eledhwen is a neutral human barbarian, and also the son of a local noble. He was fairly well educated growing up, and actually a bookworm. He was fascinated by stories of barbarian heroes of old (such as Conan or Beowulf) and in spite of his skinny physique, became obsessed with emulating their deeds and tales. He has come a long way, training himself physically, constantly emulating the skills of his favorite heroes. He is very proud and full of himself, and occasionally speaks in the third person as if narrating a story about himself. In fact, he sees life through a storytellers lens, because he imagines that one day his deeds will be chronicled as were those he looks up to.
The character is partly inspired by the "Wannabe Barbarian Hero" starting kit from GURPS Discworld, and partly by a friend of mine.
I'd really love to get involved in a consistent, long-term PbP; every attempt I've made (here and on other forums) to join one has fallen through at the last minute.
I work at a computer all day, with considerable downtime, and am a heavy computer user at home. I'd be able to post for at least an hour or so per day, and usually much more than that. Hope you like the character idea and will consider me, as much of a late-comer to the thread as I am.

I knew there was a great deal of interest, I've been trying to get into one since I read about PbP games, but this one seems to generate even more interest :)
I'm playing in two others on seperate forums, but I hope this one will be a bit more active. First ... I have to get a spot tough :P
Alright, completed background, description, and mostly completed stats are in my profile. I still need to buy equipment, but other than that I'm good to go, if I get a spot :)
Nice background story there ... It almost makes me want to be there in a year and TWO days ... just to see what happens ;)

Among the Shoanti, Satieah stands out at first glance with the mane of crimson hair uncommon among folk who frequently keep thier hair short or heads shaven entirely. Her brow bears a stylised tatto of flame in the same tone as her hair. While she can speak normally at times she is also heard speaking in a voice that sounds like ruffling flames, those learned in the right areas would recognise that she is speaking Ignan the language native to the Plane of Fire.
Flame has always held an ambivlance to this strange woman. An attack by orcs led to a fire that claimed the rest of her family but left her completely untouched, bearing the tatto she now wears today. Since that day she has been both attracted to, and repulsed by flame, speaking in her strange tongue whenever in stress. She was raised by the tribal shamaness who recognised the touch of the divine in her charge but could offer little more than moral support in understanding her strange gift. Eventually she resolved that her answers would lay elsewhere and has struck out on her own.
Philosophy: Satieah has come to recognise fire as the two-bladed gift, one that can give as well as take. Flame is her vehicle for inspiration, healing, and when needs be, offense. All of her spells will have some touch of fire in thier signatures, including her healing spells which briefly wrap the target in flames which give a brief feeling of warmth but do not burn. Her divination spells for instance will light her eyes in flame while the spell is in effect. Her dances are equaly evocative of the skips and bursts of fire and She has given singing performances but they are entirely concerts of evocative sound, or they are words wholly in the language of Fire.

It's true. We have 11 characters now.

Like I was saying before, it wasn't easy but, after carefully looking at you characters, considering group balance, trying to avoid too much overlap, and checking your credit history (maybe not that last one), here's my pick of 6 characters:
Calla Shadde-Quah, female human barbarian (eventually barbarian/ranger)
Venmirl of Skoan-Quah, male human inquisitor
Izbahn Douvurk, male human wizard
Zelazny, male human rogue (eventually rogue/sorcerer)
Syeira Iliosana, female human bard
Satieah Flame's Daughter, female human oracle
For those 6, check this thread for further discussion. For the others, I'm really sorry but I wanted to limit the size of the group. Thanks a bunch for all the interest, I hope you find a game.

While I am sad that I didn't get in, I'd love to join in if anybody else who didn't get in decides to start a second game up! I'm currently running 2 weekly games and one monthly game IRL so I'll have to refrain from volunteering myself for DM duties.
Anybody else interested? Let's see if we can make a second group happen.

Since there's already a few gm running this on these boards, I'm wondering if anyone would be interested in (yet another) Rise of the Runelord game. I've always wanted to run Rise of the Runelords but never got the opportunity to do it with my face to face group so far. Anyway, if I can get 4-6 players who can post regularly, I'll get it rolling here.
I got another campaign in the 'pipeline', so to speak, my adaptation of the Freeport trilogy (by Green Ronin) set in the Shackles. I might run this instead if people express more interest in this one.
I ran the whole thing and I will tell you for those considering it - it's been the best AP since they released them hands down.

Darn, rejected. Oh well, who was going to run the other one?
*looks around expectantly*

Our rogue has gone missing, (hint, hint)
Great! Of course, I'm probably low on the reserve list, but it's something. :P
Here's my concept, just in case:Goblin rogue, a beggar in Sandpoint who is now under heavy suspicion after the raid. He's eager to alleviate the townsfolks' concerns so he can remain in his home, and so seeks to join the heroes in the hopes that some of their popularity will rub off on him.
| Reptilian |
I've been watching this PbP since the beginning. Just like to throw my hat into the ring for reserves. It's incredibly well-done, and the players are great. Plus, I reeeally want to stick a goblin character in this campaign and see what hapens. :P
Flattery will get you no where! Alright, who am I kidding, we all like being complimented, thanks. Just fyi, I don't really have a reserve list. I invited Naomi for the game because I hesitated a lot between her and the 'no-show' fire oracle (on that note I really liked Marilis Vahn too but she had too much overlap with Syeira and Zelazny). So, in short, I could be convinced to include any other player.
That being said, I'm really hesitant to include a goblin PC in the group. I wouldn't have a problem with it in some other campaign but their obviously serve as the main adversary in the first adventure of RotRL and I want them to remain monsters, silly monsters maybe but still. I guess it could work but you'd have some convincing to do.

Okay, here are a few ideas for how he'd be introduced. Bear in mind I'm brainstorming so some of the ideas are probably ridiculous:
-The goblin is being held captive by the sheriff. He didn't do anything, but it's suspected he was involved in the raid, and hasn't been able to convince therm otherwise. The sheriff might stick the Sandpoint goblin with the characters and ask apologetically for them to keep him under control.
-The goblin is accidentally locked outside the town and finds Venmirl or the other group and begs to be let back in. He is convinced the incident was intentional.
As for the antagonist bit, I think it could be alleviated if he was an outsider in the group. More of a persistent fan who sometimes helps out than an actual party member.
