Kalgrin, I have to take both Ibram's and Keon's stance on your character the things they have mentioned for suggestions as well as correct are spot on. if you have any other questions let us know. Everyone else looks good so far. I will be posting the ooc thread here in the next hour or so; so that we can all move the discussion over to it. Need to do a little reading and decision making before I post the IC thread, probably do first post in the ic thread late tomorrow.
And Keon, as to the pearl of power, thanks for the heads up :)

Eric Swanson |

I'm indeed interested :)
Are you a newcomer?
Edit: nevermind, you aren't part of the original group. So here are some starting guidlines:
All core races and some non-core (with dm approval) are in. All PFRPG classes and Tome of secrets class are in as well as playtest classes. The game starts at 6th level. heroic stat roll (2d6+6) rolled in thread and 1st level hp max. All other levels rolled in thread both must be approved first. (So we don't penalize the original players)
Also, If you are the one of the original players, then you can pick up right where we left off.
So, just need a concept for your char.

Eric Swanson |

Ok all,
I am looking for 6 players total. Right now, we have 3 new players who are interested (Nightflier, Ravn, and Twin Dragons), plus one original player (Ibram). So we need 2 more players.
I also plan on DMPC my char, who is a gnome sorcerer, so there would be 7 char total. Don't worry, you will need the help, he he.
So feel free to check out the IC thread Here
New players, go ahead and submit char concepts.
This is the 3.5 adventure that I have modified for PF rules and based in Golarion. The theme is all of you are part of the military group based in Lastwall, who have been sent to the village of Barovia, to track down a missing paladin Ashlyn.
Any questions let me know

Eric Swanson |

Eric, if I can have to the weekend, I will get a character ready for the adventure. I normally play arcane casters, but it seems we have that covered. I can play a divine caster, whether cleric or druid, depending on what everyone else wants to play.
Take your time there is no rush, he he.
And feel free to play whatever you want. *inserts evil grin*

Twin Dragons |

I'm definitely in; Martial Rogue (combat feats instead of Sneak Attack).
Gotta get some grub now, but I'll get crackin' on the character later tonight.

Is that 3.5 variant, if so, just let me know where it is so I can review it. First impression says it is ok, though.
Edit, It would help if i looked for links first before posting, he he.
Edit again. The PF rogue has rogue talents you can select as you go up levels. One of the things you can select is Combat tricks, which basically allows you to select Combat feats. So you won't lose your sneak attack.
Also in PF undead(at least most of them) ARE affected by sneak attack, so be glad this is PF, he he.

I'm aware of that, I'd still like to play a Martial Rogue, if you'll allow it.
Also thimking ahead; probably multiclass Cleric/Rogue (evened out) or dipping into cleric for some of the features.

Do you allow Litorians in the game? I have an old character, litorian paladin called Num-Rah, who started his life in Ptolus game world, then exchanged it to Grayhawk. I reworked him to be crusader, but I'll change him back to paladin if you allow.

Ok how about this:
I will allow you to swap the sneak attack out for a combat feat everytime in the advancement table rogue gets SA. Keep in mind if you do not have sneak attack, some rogue talents cannot be selected, as they require the SA ability. You still need to meet all prereq for the feats.
Feel free to multiclass out, if you want, he he.

Nightflier,
Due to the unique nature of this game, I will allow it. Your Litoran came from Ptolus (GREAT setting btw!) through a portal (I forget where one is in Ptolus, but I am sure we can find one, he he) and ended up trapped in Barovia. Therefore he will not know the other party members, at least not right away.
If you decide to go for it, then please rework him to a Paladin, and also make sure his stats are heroic (2d6+6).
Thanks

I'm fully aware. And thanks.

This is Nightflier's paladin, Num-Rah. Check out the stats and background and if it suits you, I'll rework him to paladin.

This is Gerald's cleric, Eric. Please review the sheet for any errors. Thanks.
It looks good, Gerald.
You probably want to check the IC thread here for some additional BG info. Not much actually happened, no combat, but some char development. Only Ibram and Nish will be with you guys, unless something changes.
You probably are familiar with Captain Alfrik. I will leave it to you how you know him though.

I need to ask a favor from my prospective players. I do not have any way of doing maps on these boards, so I was going to just do descriptive accounts of any combats you get into.
Please let me know if this will work for you. If not, then let me know and I will figure out a way to get maps to you guys. As a player, I know its much easier to have visual aids, so I can sympathize with you guys. Your jobs will be hard enough, he he.

Alright by me, Thas didn't do any maps in his Ptolus campaign as well. Although a rough excel map always works in a pinch.
PS: Don't forget to note the following bonuses you may get due to my character:
- +3 initiative to allies within 50ft
- +1 attack and damage for looking at me.
- +1 bonus against fear effects for everyone within 30ft

Is this for every character, Ibram? I don't know much about the warlord class, so I want to be sure what benefits you might be giving.

Ibram |

For all my allies (which is you guys), says the book, and so long as you're in a certain distance from me. And since this also came up with the last group:
Oh. well, the Warlord class is in the Tome of Secrets book. It's basically a fighter less trainings plus auras and tricks. I might as well go in detail, since all of them affect everyone.Inspiration adds 3d6 temporary hitpoints to everyone within 30ft as a standard action, and lasts till the battle ends.
Combat leader adds +3 initiative checks to everyone within 60ft passively.
Commanding Presence gives everyone within line of sight...except myself, a passive +1 to attack and damage.
Hold the Line is just too situational. But if we're ever fighting defensively in a line (they're unclear on that as well), that's a +2 competence bonus to AC
And Rallying Presence gives everyone within 30ft a +1 morale bonus to fear spells and effects. Every little bit counts, eh?
Be sure to add them bonuses to your sheets. Haha.
