Yeah, that could be a problem! So what do you do when you provide your resume and they look at your previous job history? "uhhh....I was a housewife and student." :P
Technically my business is called 12th street gifts. So on a resume that is what I use, as for the phone number my boss provided his cell phone number as the contact number, so they won't hear, "Thank You for calling Badd Kitty". They simply get..."This is John Gaik". :D
So what you are saying is your boss has half a brain. Thats rare.

I'll bite...how in the world do you get that?!

At least I am not the only one being tortured.

change the channel. we've been torturing ourselves watching the travel channel about food. It's a personal hell for post bariatric patients.

Mmmmm.....

Trying to convince her I should be watching the Music City Bowl.

My company owns the Travel channel. We get lots of freebies from them.

I can't change the channel I promised my wife that I would for once watch it. I am forcing my kids to do the same.

Really? My favorite program on there happens to be Man Vs. Food.

I can't remember the last time I saw the Sound of Music. I guess I shouldn't complain I'm watching the Travel Channel, then.

I think that is about the only show I can't really stand. I just don't see the point of watching a guy gorge himself on food for no real reason.

Then again I have not really watched it so I may just be missing something.

Flame wars? I wear fire retardant materials.

The Exchange

well it helps when the firefighters stick around.

Do a dear a female deer!

I just try to not to let most people's screen scat affect me in RL. Sometimes I understand it's hard to do and even I fail, but who am I to convince some other screen avatar miles away? *shrugs*

Sounds kinky.

Yeah its hard sometimes especially when half the peopel around here are intellegent and capable of holding an actually constructive discussion and then you have a couple of pisspots that show up in the pet store to drive ya nutty.

Bizity-bizity-BOP!

Call it the power of Internet anonymity. Some people feel more comfortable exiting their skin when there's no true retaliation being faced head on in RL. I know that I can sometimes express myself in ways that people may not expect in RL. Some of my woman's family members have been telling her mother that some of my recent FB materials have been funny and her mother tells me where in the world have I been hiding my sense of humor. *shrugs*

I like to think I'm just misunderstood. :P

As for the scat distressers. F'em, I say. It's easier to ignore them and they'll get that much more frustrated because they lose their self perceived power to be disruptive.

Leafy! Almost wondered if you were lying drunk in the backalley of an Xmas party gone sour noshed on eggnog.

I must be imagining things. Maybe I'm drunk.

Mrs Mairkurion got pretty smashy last night in the Big Apple...

:/

But yeah, the holidays have been crazy busy, and hence my sparseness.

Liberty's Edge

We almost got us a bona fide white Christmas here in Dallas.

The Exchange

Yes but do you own a snow shovel?

Snow came back down here quickly in Columbus after it was green most of the day. Let's see what overnight brings for me to decide which vehicle I'm driving tomorrow for my scant five hours of work for the whole week.

The Exchange

Singing Nun's have always sent me for a loop. Sister Mary Margaret couldn't hold a tune in a bag, during my youth. Oh well.

Are your kids still being forced to watch that movie?

The Exchange

Urizen wrote:

Why yes. :)

And you're doing just a great job demonstrating your full attention to said movie, too?

:P

The Exchange

Its a better movie then I expected. But then again the more old movies I watch the less I like the more current ones.

But you don't seem too engrossed. I mean, we're responding to each other's posts, you realize. :P Are your kids excellent multitaskers too?

The Exchange

Well we do have it on DVR. So I can pause it from time to time and better yet do not have to watch the commercials.

The Exchange

No my sons can not multi task.

So, what do your sons do when you pause the DVR so you can read and reply on here? Personally, I'm impressed. I'd at least allow them to crack open a comic book or put on a video game until everyone's ready to continue. :P

The Exchange

Nothing, they are grounded. They have to watch this with the family. It is the only TV they are allowed until they can do thier chores without being nagged until they do it.

The Exchange

I do thinks its funny I make a comment on FB and it is lost to the ether, though.

Nice! I knew there was a catch. I would have begged to have gone to my room.

What do you mean?

Nothing much just asked a couple of questions and no one answered. LOL either they do not know it is me, or they don't, or I am just boring.

Must be asking it somewhere that I don't read, I guess. Only thing that I see from you on my live feed are pleas for Castle Age reinforcements. :D

Ahhh! I'm purposely avoiding all the game apps for the time being. I have enough distractions going on as it is. My woman is currently reading a book just waiting for me to wrap up with SportsCenter on ESPN now that Clemson defeated Kentucky in the Music City Bowl.

The Exchange

That is one thing I have never been able to stand. Sports on tv. I know I loose man points for it. I just prefer Live games. Always have. The one exception to that is any sort of racing. I have been to races and they are loud smelly and I cant stand getting sand in my face when they pass.

Man, I haven't looked at facebook for a good week.

*shrug* It depends on what I'm watching live and where I'm seated. I personally enjoy the commentaries and the fact I'm not freezing my ass out in the cold or in the rain this time of year.

It's good that you haven't. We're all picking on you in your absence. ALL. OF. FACEBOOK. :P

The Exchange

I have to save up soem money and take at the very least my youngest to a KC chiefs game.

Perhaps hold off until next year. They may improve.

And on that note, I need to hit the hay and do a five hour stint tomorrow. Have fun with your kids watching the rest of the film.
