Bleh... I don't think that 1 hour of sleep is very conducive to the beginning of a healthy work day... :/

Have fun all I'll be back much later today.

P.S. Don't forget to beat up my Lotus Ravenmoore while I'm at work. :)

The Exchange

Give that kid a hug! You really are one of the best moms on the planet!

Thanks.

He is a good kid. He spent well over 30 minutes picking out his gift for Toys for Tots. And you know we couldn't pass the guy with the bell and not give a dollar or two. :)

I always do my part every holiday season. Whenever I pass one of those collections, I slip in a dollar. And as much as my mom and I have been out and about this year, that added up to $20.

Whoa, I should check my email more often. Belated Thanks Taig!!

It's really awesome that Kellen wanted to do that.

You're welcome. I was a little worried about the method for "announcing" it, but I'm glad you found it. :)

Talked to friend of mine who's husband is active duty in the National Gaurd. Apparently they make braclets out of this certain cord that they use for packs and stuff...she is going to get him to show her how to make them, and she will show me and Kellen. We can make them and sell them and then donate the procceeds to the charity I found. :D

The Exchange

I also need to check my email more often. Thanks Taig and thank you Sarah Marie for helping me with it today.

And the Charity thing just blew up! Kellen asked if we could do the braclets and maybe bake some cookies and set up a table. My friend (with the active duty hubby) is a hair dresser and she said she would advertise a day of free hair cuts all she asks for is a donation, and we were thiking of maybe sewing coin purses with yellow ribbons. Also setting up donation jars at our work places. It is amazing how one kids thought just blew up into a plan. :D

OK, so we make the braclets I can count on each of you for at lest one right? ;)
We are actually thinking of setting up a FB page for his efforts. :D

How much are you scalping us for, errrr....., charging us for? ~grins~

Count me in for at least 3 of them.

Not sure yet. Nicole (the friend) is going to go to the army/navy store where her hubby gets the cord and price it today. We will be making braclets for about 6 months. As soon as I know how much the cord costs we will know what to charge. This is so cool, she is so excited and it gives her something to focus on since her hubby deploys in 8 days to go to Iraq. :)

The Exchange

not to cross post or spam in anyway, just remember we can still send popcorn gifts overseas.

Heading out for work post. ~grins~ Have fun you all!

And contacted the charity. They will be sending the app for sanctioned events. So now we will have pics and brochures from them. :)

Why are you guys so busy today? Without you to entertain me I have planned a whole big fundraiser. I blame you guys! ;)

When I read that I thought it said "whole burger fundraiser"

Sorry, since break started I have bored, so sleeping always sounds good.

As for Kellen's idea, and great plan. Uh, just let me know about the bracelet thing, I might need a special order, I just measured my wrist and for it to be snug(read cutting off circulation) I am looking at an 8 inch wrist.

With a Shadow Post to see what I missed :)

That won't be a problem. We will be setting up a FB page for orders nd all that. We figure we can also make key chains nd pins nd bked goods and set up tables outside of supermarkets nd then hve one big event to cap off everything where Nicole will set up her Chair nd give hair cuts for donations and we can sell more of our creations and then her friend owns a cigar shop and he will set up a stnd with labels with the charity logo on teh homemade cigars. And hopefully so much more. Maybe a spagetti dinner since the armory has a kitchen. ???

I've cut back a lot (mainly due to no spare money) but I still occasionally get a figure that either strikes my fancy or is a favourite character. Some of mine are opened and some unopened. I figure that when the kids a re old enough I'll break and open them up to let them play like I did with the Flash Motorbike.

I don't have the Six Film version of Star Wars Trivial Pursuit, but I do have the Original Trilogy one. I have played it half a dozen times, but now noone will play me because I always win by at least 4 pieces of pie... :/

Like wise. I buy the occasional figure or toy here and there (not necessarily exclusive to Star Wars mind you) if it tickles my fancy or if the price is just right.

Your reasoning alone is why I don't think anyone wishes to play the game with me. But, I got to admit -- do like me some pie. :P

Pretty much done. I'm waiting on a critique, but I'll probably submit it tonight. I think (hope) I've got a good one this year.

How about yours?

Good luck with that. I don't think you're waiting on me because I didn't see anything on my end. Just making sure because sometimes I'm lazy about checking e-mail. :D

This is another one of those FB things, isn't it? :)

Depends what you mean by 'FB things'....? I'm a neophyte to FB just the past week, so I may be a little slow on the uptake. You'll have to pardon me. :)

I just assumed it was another one of those interesting things people can send one another on FaceBook. I'm sure I'm totally wrong :)

And no worries sir - I'm right there with you. I don't think I've checked the page I recently set up in about 2 weeks. Ah well, I did warn folks that I would never have time to check it...guess that's why hardly anybody's talking to me here now, neh? ;P

Nah, I don't do all the apps stuff (even though a lot of people have been sending it my way). I'm still a bit apprehensive about what personal information does (not) get sent between entities, so it's baby steps for me.

Who are you on FB? Or you can hit me through my profile here. Or maybe Solnes already sent it to me and I missed it. It does happen. Then I'll let you know what I'm talking about (if CJ hasn't done so already). :D

I have it plotted, I just have to write it up. With everyone gone camping I should have the time to do it on Thursday afternoon after work, so I'll just scrape in under the Deadline.

If you need a fresh set of eyes or anything at the last minute, let me know. I'll be following the contest, but no desire in playing.

As soon as you know the cost per unit let me know. Only then will I be able to commit to buying some.

Ah, Korpiklanni. They're part of the viking wave of metal music. There's other good ones out there if anyone wants exposure.

It turns out to not be so bad. I kept thinking some of the posts looked familiar... and then I ran across a couple from me. I guess I was more out of it Fri-Sun than I thought. I'm on pg 22 now.

Everyone here seems to have gotten a bunch of neat stuff for Christmas (yay!), and seems to have had a few stressful encounters from relatives and a certain couple "puppy mill owners" at the pet store (sigh).

Are you to the part yet where we gave Gary a heart attack? :D
