I was still hopeful for Christopher Maloni. He did a great job as a voice actor in First Flight.

I love the comic movies....Wolverine not included....but I am not a huge DC fan. Superman is overrated, and the rest are a lil bland...or were when i was reading them. I did enjoy the Smallville series. I think I would enjoy a Flash or Green Lantern movie...but thats about it. The JLA movie would be watched simply for teh kids.
X-Men 1 was good, the others sucked.
Amazing Spidey 1 &2 were good, 3 sucked. All 3 Blade Movies were great.
Iron Man was good, a little worried about #2.
Superman wasn't overrated, Superman RETURNS is overrated. Still good though.

(lets try this again, first ever post to be consumed by the post monster) ugggh, I am thinking of switching majors again. I mean I like accounting but the time in school is driving my insane, and in the same amount of time I could get a B.S. in accounting, or a B.(A/S). in German or other field. I could go for a C.P.A. but I feel like I want to go into teaching down the road. I am just tired of being in school as long as I have with very little to show for it (1 associates, and 3 certificates). I feel like I am choosing between trying something fun, or go for a guaranteed job in the long run. I would like to some opinions/advice from my friends here, and for those of you who are/were/soon to be teachers some words of experience/wisdom would be appreciated.

IDK I really don't see him as the Barry Allen type. Maybe Wally West.

Aww, how much longer do you have to finish your degree in accounting? I would stick with it if you can. There is so much you could do with that degree later...CPA..Teacher...and more. You could get on with any number f companies and job security is key these days. I know its tough...I still have 2 years left untill I finish my BAEE, but I know it will be worth it. Just try and keep your work load down and under control. If you are taking classes that aren't needed...don't. Fun degrees are just that...fun, they aren't really worth the time you put into them in teh long run. You want to be able to actually use your degree later. I am sorry you are feeling overwhelmed.

Hey Solnes and Moorluck, I found a place to watch Smallville on-line.
Thanks David.

Kyle hater???? WHy? He had some of the best stories and if it wasn't for Kyle reinvigorating the Green Lantern Mythos, John would still be in that Darkstar uniform. ;)

Ryan wants to be Wally. He wanted to do Flash more than GL.

I love all the GL characters. Hal was the best, IMHO - a classic hero and all around cool dude.
I've enjoyed the way John Stewart has grown as a person, from his planet-destroying arrogance in Cosmic Odyssey, through overseeing the patchwork world of Oa prior to the Guardians return, all the way through today. He can be a little intense sometimes, but doesn't seem to let that get in the way of doing his duty and helping people.
Guy Gardner is still the same hot-head, shoot-first, rough and tumble guy he always was, but now tempered with a bit of wisdom, the friendship of Kyle, and the love of Ice.
I didn't always like Kyle, but he's grown on me. Him being an artist, they've done some really cool stuff with the way he uses his ring. The tragedies he's suffered has given him a bit of an edge, but he's still a great guy. The big brother/little brother relationship he has with Guy is cool.

I had heard that Ryan wanted to be Wally West Flash, and almost with they had chosen him for that instead of GL. Although I think he will do well as Hal Jordan, I would've preferred to maybe see Nathan Fillion as GL. There was even a (fan-made I think) trailer showing Fillion in that role.
But, hey! Turnabout is fairplay. Maybe Fillion would make a good Barry Allen.

Without going into too much of a rant, he's a Mary Sue beyond all Mary Sues, with a bit of Wesley(Sorry Mr. Weaton!) thrown in at worst. At best, he's whatever the opposite of a redheaded stepchild is. Then again, I'm also something of a fan hater, though, so you should take whatever I say with a grain of salt.

I hate Hal to a certain extent, but that's really not the fault of the character, but the writers at the time. NOT a fan of the whole Parallax-let's-give-the-ring-to-some-punk-kid-he's-an-artist-isn't-that-coo l?!!? storyline.
I first came into John and GL seriously though Mosaic. As a black kid in brooklyn in the early 90s, the comic blew my mind, and was an interesting contemporary to the Milestone stuff that came out around the same time. I still have the first issue and a handful of choice issues in my "read when Freehold DM has lost his way" comic box. Guy is..well, he's just Guy. Interesting comic book character when he decides to act against type, as he did recently when

I see your salt and raise you PEPPER!!! HA!!!
That's okay. I'm just glad they didn't off him during Rebirth. There is more than enough room in GL for Kyle, Hal, John and Guy (and the entire Corps for that matter!)
Kyle will always be my favorite, but Hal is the GL beyond all GL's.

I have always been a fan of Hal, Alan, and John. Jade was pretty cool when she was a Green Lantern. Kyle was alright and Guy is fun, but he gets on my nerves after awhile. However, this and this were my favorite Lanterns of all.

Ch'p was the man. I still miss him. Glad another lantern from his sector got a few lines in the comic though.

I was about to ask if Alan Scott didn't get any love but then I noticed he had.
I always liked Alan, especially now that he seems to be aging normally. Still like him as Green Lantern, not Sentinel.

I have about 2 years left. The only classes I have left to take are required classes. The German option possibly could lead to a foreign language teaching job. I just hate having to take classes that seem to be unrelated to my chosen field, plus I am starting to feel burned out at my tax job. I've done that for so long, plus next year they (read: IRS)is going to hold simple tax preparers to the same standards as C.P.A's. that plus business classes seem to kick my @$$.

I always see job ads for CPAs to work for the FBI and CIA. Just imagine, being able to tell chicks that you work for the CIA after you graduate.

The greatest Green Lantern of them all
** spoiler omitted **
He's certainly one of my favorites. Underused and misunderstood, methinks, especially considering the sense of humor(or lack thereof) of many writers in the industry.

I have found it hard to believe but both bookstores at the local mall are closing shop. :(
Waldenbooks ans B. Dalton each have a store closing in the Chesapeake Square Mall. The good news is big clearing discounts!
Friday night I bought two graphic novels, Fables Dark Ages and Muppet Robin Hood. I was unable to pass up purchasing the latter and I got both for a grand total of $10 and some change.
:)
Note: Boom! studios who has published the Muppet novel is the same publisher that has done the graphic novel series with Cthulhu, Nyarlothotep (sp?) and some of the Old Gods returning to modern earth for an apocalypse.
