Warning: The following anecdote is rated PG-13, for suggestive hyphenated naming.
One of my best friends went to high school with a girl who had the most unfortunate hyphenated last name I've ever heard. Her name was Mary Gibbs-Head. I didn't believe him until he pulled out one of his old yearbooks and showed me. Poor girl.
I can top that. Also possibly PG-13.
Hyphenated last name. Stephanie Cox-Ucker. Not joking.

I dated a girl named Holly Grow when I was younger. I loved the name but she really hated it.
My last name is Nipple with an S instead of the N so I was Mr. Whipple, Nippler, Simple, The Nipple etc. Eventually I reached the age where we were studying 'dangling participles' in english and the teacher asked me if I knew what one was. I replied "I could show you but I don't need to spend more time in detention" as I adjusted my package a bit. Much laughter ensued and I then had a more fun nickname. And still more detention....damn non-joke-taking teacher....

And yeah, I took my share of lessons in the 'don't be different' department. I was the proverbial runt of the litter and was 4'6 until I was 16.
Your not the only early bloomer sanwah. I reached my full adult height of 6'3 at age of 12. It scared the crap outta my parents and when I walked into my 5th garde class room the first day of school.
You would think I would be uber jock but nope when you grow too fast you cant do stuff like run or over exert yourself cause in my case when you did I got really dizzy, couldnt stand up, and then my eyesight went away for a few minutes. I had to wait till my body balanced out before I could be athlectic but I looked really imposing in elementary school.
