I'm not sure if the new wording on moving through threatened squares requires one Acrobatics skill check, or one check per threatening foe (as in 3.5). It seems it could be read either way; specifically, it might appear that you make one Acrobatics check against a given foe (but how do you choose which foe if facing multiple ones?), and each additional foe simply adds 2 to the DC of this single check. Any enlightenment on this?

I've read (and run) this as one check to make the tumble/acrobatic check against the creature with the highest CMD that threatens the squares being moved through. Plus, add 2 to the DC for each additional creature that threatens the movement.

Long thread ahead concerning this topic:
A Question About Tumbling
But as I said in that thread, I read it as individual checks against each foe that become progressively harder.

I'm not sure what was intended. I can see merit either way. At 1st I assumed that it worked the way it did in 3.5, but after re-reading it in-depth a few times, this may not be the case.
Do the new rules reflect the intent of simplicity, by making one roll instead of several for Acrobatics? Or do they reflect how it was in 3.5 with separate rolls for each foe? The former introduces new problems (such as do you provoke from all foes, or just the ones who's CMD you fail to beat, and which foe do use use as the base of the DC?) The latter works better if you have a passing knowledge of how it worked in 3.5 as how "tumbling" was actually resolved was more clearly written there.

Me too. In addition, Acrobatics can be used untrained, even when tumbling as mentioned in the skill's chapter and also PRD. But in the combat chapter there is sentance under the "Moving through a Square" section that reads: "Tumbling: A trained character can attempt to use Acrobatics to move through a square occupied by an opponent (see the Acrobatics skill". So, can untrained characters use Acrobatics to tumble or note?
