What does PSS-Interactive mean?

**newbie alert**

I am playing in my first pathfinder society events in a couple of months at a convention and most of the scenarios simply say PSS-XXX, but one of the adventure/scenarios lists itself instead as PSS-Interactive?

What does this mean?

Why is it listed differently from the 20 other pathfinder society events?

It does count the same as the other events right?

Curious minds want to know.

Thanks!

I have not played in one... but from what I understand of them...

Think real life scavenger hunt, as your character.

Having run one of the sections of the Pathfinder Society Interactive at GenCon, I can tell you that they will probably involve everyone breaking up into parties to play a few short scenarios at individual tables (probably 20-30 mins each) and probably a group event of some kind at the end. Then again, they might be designing something completely different. They're generally designed to be somewhere between a standard tabletop RPG experience and LARPing.

Hope that helps!

What's the name of the event? I didn't realize there were interactives available or I would have ordered for my con. :(

If its the con I think it is, the PFS organizers at the con wrote up an interactive and then lobbied to get it approved (didn't know that it actually was approved tho)

Each interactive is probably it's own beast. The Paizocon Grand Convocation had a dozen tables where Pathfinders could compete in Archery, the Arcane Challenge, a Harrow Reading, and meet with their faction leaders in addition to small breakout encounters. Both interactives I've experienced have been a blend of LARPing (you are your character) and traditional pen-and-paper roleplaying (your miniature is your character).

110.01 Cove of Secrets (PSS Interactive) (Pathfinder Society - Pathfinder RPG)

By Doug Daulton. Cardoon Bonewyr, late of Absalom's Wise Quarter, has mounted an expedition from Katapesh to the ruins of Slither Cove. Bonewyr promised to share his discoveries with the Society, if they keep his team alive. Venture-Captain Steelbloom has assembled local Pathfinders to guard for Bonewyr's expedition. Protect him if you must, but discovering his secrets is your true mission. Of course your faction wants a their taste as well.

The next important question is what convention is this?

NeonCon in Las Vegas. Erik and I are special guests and since we'll be there, I'm approving an interactive for Doug to run.

I might actually go to this....What time period is the interactive going to be?

***Interactives are what drew me to LG in the first place, I love the idea of multiple tables interacting and affecting each other***

Let the rest of the New York crew know if you need 'aid rolls' to your diplomacy.
