Liz,
If you're short on crunch, I wrote up a sorcerer bloodline for community use a few weeks ago. It's not one of the items you requested in your guidelines, of course. And it's probably a bit short in terms of word count. But you can use that if you like. If you'd prefer that I submit it via email, just let me know.

Neil's contribution just inspired me to write a thematically-similar sorcerer bloodline, if you'd like a short companion piece.

Maybe you should flip it around and have Hugo interview you this time... ;-D

Cool! I'm tweaking mine slightly as I found a couple of different bonus spells that fit a little better. I also had two more sorcerer bloodlines that sprang to mind as I went along, but haven't completed them yet. I'll send along whatever I've got before the submission deadline.

Since you've got more bloodlines on the way, let me run the first half of my bloodline by you to make sure I'm not treading ground that you've already covered. (Wayfinder submission spoiler follows.)
For generations, a being of pure thought has shared a symbiotic relationship with members of your family, inhabiting their physical bodies. This entity now lurks in the back of your mind, though its alien presence occasionally leaks into the outside world.
Class Skill: Knowledge (history).
Bonus Spells: silent image (3rd), hypnotic pattern (5th), illusory script (7th), phantasmal killer (9th), nightmare (11th), contingency (13th), insanity (15th), demand (17th), weird (19th).
Bonus Feats: Alertness, Combat Reflexes, Improved Initiative, Improved Iron Will, Iron Will, Quick Draw, Quicken Spell, Skill Focus (Knowledge [history]).
Bloodline Arcana: Whenever you cast a spell of the phantasm subschool, increase the spell’s DC by +2. Also, whenever you cast a non-phantasm spell with a duration that includes “concentration,” increase the spell’s DC by +2.
Bloodline Powers: A second mind inhabits your body, filling your brain with more and greater thoughts than it could ever produce of its own accord...

I'm definitely not covering that ground, Eric. So you should be fine. Interesting source for a bloodline, though. :-)
An idea for you:
I think that might fit where you're going better than calling it a Symbiotic Bloodline, because when I think of a symbiote, I think of something more along the lines of an Aberrant Bloodline's origin or something alien-esque rather than supernatural. Regardless, I like what you're putting into the concept. And I could easily envision playing a sorcerer with such a bloodline.
Just my two-cents,

D'oh! I just mailed it off to Lilith and, somehow, I missed your spoiler. I guess I'll just have to let the editors decide if the name of the bloodline is up to snuff.
EDIT: Incidentally, the name of the bloodline was inspired by Complete Psionic...
I suppose I could also have gone with something like 'host bloodline,' but "host sorcerer" doesn't roll off the tongue quite as well as "symbiotic sorcerer."

All this talk of bloodlines and the focus of the issue of Wayfinder #2 really makes me wish I had more info on linnorms. I'd love to be able to round out my linnorm bloodline for submission.

Shadowborn |

I'm putting together a Weal or Woe submission featuring two Korvosa-based NPCs: an information broker and a crimelord, both helping to fill the power vacuum left in the wake of events in CotCT, before the Cerulean Order can consolidate control of the city's underworld. Should be ready in about a tenday or so.

"Oh, really?"
"How...interesting..."

(Slightly stuffy?)Progress Update:
I did not hear back after sending in the revised opening the other day to the 'Dear Diary' sequel, so I have assumed it was okay, and have completed and forwarded a full draft. It is currently a couple of hundred words over budget, however, so I am making cuts and revisions to it before sending in a final version.

WHY THE HELL DOESN'T ANYONE TELL ME ABOUT THIS STUFF UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE?
Any illustrations needed? Requests for articles?
Well Lilith and Butterfrog have been posting responses or otherwise bumping this thread for days to try to get it attention, and I've mentioned Wayfinder #2 occasionally in posts on other threads...
I would hazard a guess that Lilith and Butterfrog are still handing out art orders as I don't think they have all the articles they want in yet and so don't know the precise details of all the piccies they want either. I think Lilith made a request for more articles (crunch especially) a page or so back, and gave on the first page of the thread the exact details of what she's looking for in an article. (Although in a subsequent post she added to that list that sequels to pieces in Wayfinder #1 will be considered too.)<Wanders off mumbling something about needing to kill at least another 177 words from 'Dear Diary II'.>
Lilith:
My senior PaizoCon UK 2010 organisers seem to be working towards the October 31st with regard to submitting our PaizoCon UK 2010 advert. Could you and Butterfrog *please* let me know if I need to get on to them to get it in faster? Up until next weekend they're busy with wrangling PFS players/GMs for a convention in Manchester, here in the UK, so I don't know how much spare time they'll have before then, but they might be able to get it in sooner than the end of the month if you need it faster.

Um, because we expect you to find it like the rest of us do, by reading the forums?
...
I'm sorry, was that a rhetorical question?
Sorta, yeah.

I have a race that I have been working on that I would like to submit. It is currently resting here. Could you look it over and tell me what I should do to get it ready for submission?

I'd echo others, and suggest it be renamed an 'Ancestral Spirit', rather than a 'symbiote'. It could make a very apt fit for a land such as Tian Xia, if they are assumed to follow Chinese-style Ancestor Worship.
When I hear the word 'symbiote', it brings to mind much less philanthropic creatures such as the Go'a'uld (sp?) from Stargate, or D&D menaces such as the Xill, who jump you in an alley and try to stick an egg up your poopchute.

There was an ancestral bloodline in Wayfinder #1.

Actually, that's almost exactly what I was going for. Or, even better, the Inspired from Eberron.

All art orders will be send out to all previous artists of Wayfinder -and new ones hopefully- right after Mistress Lilith closes the submissions deadline and finishes reviewing/selecting the artciles.

Charles Evans 25 |
Charles, I haven't heard anything from the PaizoCon UK folks.
Shiny, you are on my short list for artists.
Three weeks until the deadline!
I have corresponded with Rob Silk, and an advert is being prepared right now, but we're still waiting on Aston University to be able to confirm the precise date for PaizoCon UK 2010. Touch wood that should be done within the next fortnight.
Nyargh! Still 50+ words over limit on Dear Diary II.<Heads back to MSWord...>

One other question...
Since its free to advertise sites that comply with the Community Use Policy, and there are varying size advert sizes available (up to 8.5 x 5.5 as I understand) why wouldn't people just all choose the largest?
Should people submitting ads provide them in different dimensions in case there is no room for an 8.5 x 5.5 spot? And if so, what would be the other desired dimensions?

I believe the only size is 8.5x5.5. Also the page number limit on ads is around 10-15% of the final pagecount (2 per page), we don't want to fill up the magazine with ads ;). If too many ads are send. We may need to size them to to fit as many as possible.

(edited)
To repeat jreyst's question, what measurements would you prefer adverts already smaller than 8.5*5.5 to fit?(And is that 8.5/5.5 inches or centimetres?)

Is it okay to submit an advert that is already smaller than 8.5*5.5, and if so what dimensions would you prefer it is?
Yes it is. I can always find space for a 4.25x5.5 ad (quarter page)
