I'll wait to see what Galadar will do but I think we're going to have a chase scene. ;-)

Sir Manfred will check the Captain's wounds and bind them as necessary.
Heal: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Then officially take him prisoner [if he still lives].

Where are we at with the two guards of the Baron?

Female Half-Elf Rogue 3/ Urban Ranger 2

Liandra dashes past the guards shouting as she goes. "Knotty, Incinerate them!"

Actually are there any tree's or other rooted plants nearby?

Waiting to see if Liandra was going to take the AoO to go past them. Apparently she is. I'll roll it soon.

The 'barmaid' is passing the tavern you have a room in called 'The Dead Well'. In the courtyard of this tavern is an old well surrounded with weeds.

The point of the bluff check is to give them something else to worry about

The guards attack as Liandra slips past them before turning their attention to Knotty.

1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 172d4 + 3 ⇒ (4, 3) + 3 = 10

Does Sir Manfred notice anything else going on?
Perception: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (9) - 1 = 8

Sir Manfred VonFalkenburg wrote:

Perception: 1d20-1

The thudding of Manfred's heart and the building murmur of approval from the crowd drowns out anything else. A few brave souls begin to step from doorways and gather around the young knight to shake his hand.

If there is enough plant matter there Eria will try and cast entangle on the 'barmaid' If not she will draw her bow and continue pursuit.

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27

Seeing Eria suddenly pursue the barmaid, I pick up my speed and hurry after.

Male Halfling Transmuter5

Knotty smiles at the pair of guards and casts a spell, watching to see if they both fall. If not then he backpedals twenty feet away towards the open doorway called for Manfred and Galadar.

Color spray DC14 Will save or they are out of the fight.

The 'barmaid' hikes her skirt as she tries to step lively over the plants.

1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14

'She' succeeds in avoiding entanglement but now the road is blocked for any pursuit by Galadar or Eria.

The guards distracting by Knotty, Liandra makes it down the hall to the door the Baron went through. It is shut tight.

I attempt to run around the buildings and the entangling plants in the general direction the other is running.

"STOP that WOMAN!" I yell as I run, attempting to alert any people in the vicinity, "SHE's wanted for questioning!"

and then I add, "10 gold piece REWARD!"

Female Halfling Cleric 5

Eria dismisses the entanglement spell

Male Human Cavalier L1-- AC 18-(T10-F18) | hp 13/13| F4, R0, W2 | Init+0 | Percep +0 | Status: OK

Sir Manfred thinks the Captain here isn't looking too good, even with binding his wounds. Then he hears Knotty call for help.
Sir Manfred shouts at the bystanders; "Someone tie this man up! There is a reward for his capture alive!"
He then draws his sword and runs towards where Knotty is.

Acting before Eria can dismiss the entanglement spell Galadar has a chance to get the jump on the barmaid. Galadar can circle around to his right or his left. If he circles around the building to his right, he could stop the 'barmaid' if s/he is heading for the front gate. If he circles around to his left, he could stop the 'barmaid' if she is heading deeper into Piren's Bluff. Which direction does Galadar head?

Eria wrote:

The 'barmaid' will now have a more significant lead.

When Manfred enters he sees Knotty facing off with one devilish looking Chelish bodyguard. The other Chelish bodyguard is sitting on the floor staring at the ceiling looking like he ate the wrong kind of mushroom.

Sir Manfred will charge to Bullrush Knotty's opponent. (Without the Improved Bullrush feat, opponent gets AoO.)

Liandra Nightwind wrote:

Disable device1d20+10

The door is bolted from the inside. As soon as Liandra gets the bolt to lift, a magic missile blast it off. This of course, makes it easier for Liandra to open the door. The Baron is apparently not thinking straight.

The door swings open to reveal a much larger version of the Baron looking like a cornered animal.

The room seems to have served as the bar's office. The body of a woman lies in a pool of blood on the floor. The Baron is behind a turned over table that served as a desk.

Female Half-Elf Rogue 3/ Urban Ranger 2

If he's a much bigger version then I can still plainly see him right?

Liandra quickly whips her crossbow from across her back, rapidly firing at the Baron as another bolt falls into place.

1d20 + 11 ⇒ (11) + 11 = 22
1d10 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

Assuming he's not flat footed since he used a readied action to blast the door.

Bullrush charge: 1d20+5+3+2

A charge won't be possible as you have to cross the room and go up the stairs. I think it is even a double move for you. See the map.

1d20+11
1d10+3

Assuming he's not flat footed since he used a readied action to blast the door.

Even with the table providing partial cover for him, the bolt finds the Baron's shoulder. "Stop!" he yells. "Wait!"

Sir Manfred VonFalkenburg wrote:

The guard swings his falchion at the knight. "So, it ends," he mutters though it is unclear what he is referring to.

Sighting the crossbow again she speaks as she takes a step closer.

"Drop the wand, stand up, hands in the air, start talking. Try casting a spell and I shoot you in the neck."

Readied action to fire if he makes any sudden movements or says anything that sounds like spellcasting.

If he does

Liandra:
The Baron drops his wand and raises his hands. "More gold than you can imagine. More power than you've ever dreamed," the Baron says quickly and with certainty. "The Chelish army is a day away. Help me escape and my claim to the Keep lives with me. I promise you, you will be rewarded by Cheliax. Kill me and Cheliax will go to war. You save lives and gain power by joining me. What think you?"

Spoiler:

Liandra takes the shot

"You tried to kill us at least 3 times tonight. That's the best you've got? Give me your unconditional surrender or the next one goes somewhere...tender."

She rachets the next bolt.
Bluff1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18

The Baron goes for his wand. Liandra shoots him before he can get it. He falls to the ground and bleeds.

Knotty steps back outside and shouts for Hru to come and help. "We may need your healing!"

Knotty is pretty tapped out of spells, but one last trick up his sleeve.

Never one to miss a chance, while the guard watches Manfred, Knotty summons his fist of force and attacks the Baron's misguided servant, aiming for his head.

I circle around to the right, reasoning, if the barmaid person heads deeper into Piren's Bluff we have a greater chance of finding her later than if she runs out the gate.

Eria and Galadar:
The 'barmaid' circles around 'The Dead Well' and heads back towards the gate with Eria in pursuit. Galadar, having headed in the direction of the gate steps out in front of 'her'.

Dindler, the actor who served as the Baron's spy and led the party into a trap through the tunnel under the dog house, throws off the woman's wig and challenges Galadar and Eria, "You left me tied up and alone! (I can handle being one of those things but not both!) And this, after I offered to help you! What's this game coming to if people don't even trust you when you offer to betray your employer?"
