Seeing the strange thing slain, Al grasp at the holy symbol at his neck, flooding the room with positive energy. 1d6 ⇒ 3 points of healing to everyone within 30'.

"Grab the girls, lads" he says to Zissaren and the hulking troll-like stranger while moving to Rodrigo's side, "we should probably be gettin' out o' here."

As the creature shutters and the mayhem ensues, Trutik makes his way to Meera's side. "I have this one. You got the other one?" He asks looking toward Zissaren. Trutik then hefts the mysterious woman over his shoulder. "Lite as a feather." He quips "Let's go."

Dark Archive

From one of the burst sacks protrudes what looks like a hilt of a sword...

Zissaren moves around the mass of dangling tentacles and stoops to lift the snoring woman onto his shoulder, careful to avoid skewering her on a horn as he does so. Happy that Lureene is securely in place he walks through one of the gathering puddles of acid and pulls the on the hilt of the sword which appears to be jammed into the vile flesh.

Dark Archive

Pulling the hilt, lizardman realizes that the sword is attached to a large skeleton. Removing it from the leathery sack, Zissaren sees that the skeleton was a Lupin when alive - one of the proud race of wolflike humanoids that inhabit hills and forests of Kaledun District. Sword is sheathed in a wide leather scabbard, bleached white by acid in the sack, but otherwise untouched. Around skeletal neck dangles a leather cord puled through a number of what seems to be rat tails. Sword in its scabbard and the strange necklace are the only items remaining on once obviously strong and tall lupin. Everything else was devoured.

Male Pixie

"Found something interesting?" the pixie asks, floating beside the lizardman's shoulder, paying more attention to the bones than the items adorning them.

After several long heartbeats staring at the remains of the lupine creature, he turns to face the still conscious member of the group rescued from the sacs. "How exactly did you find yourself being digested by this creature?" he asks the half-troll.

"By the lookss of it, what would have happened to the memberss of our little group if we hadn't found them."

Zissaren removes the sword and leather cord from the skeleton and tucks them into his pack.

"Maybe we can find ssomeone who'll recognisse the ssword or the necklacce, who can possibly sshed ssome light on how thiss guy got down here."

"What disturbs me is the fact that I cannot concieve of what type of creature we are obviously inside of"

Dark Archive

Silvery mists coming from the tears in the walls are slowly starting to fill the chamber...

"We can be worryin' about that when we're out o' here," Al speaks gruffly, heading over to the tear in the fleshy floor, "right now though, we should be movin'"

"Hopefully we'll be able to ffind a way out, these tunnelss sseem to open and closse at will."

Zissaren moves over to the hole and carefully swings Lureene off his shoulder and down onto the ground before jumping back down into the tunnel. He calls back up through the hole for someone to pass down the sleeping girl.

"I have no recollection of being captured and digested by this 'creature'. I seem to have lost all memory of the incident." Trutik answers Luff.

Knowledge Planes 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20

Do I perchance get a Will Save to wake up? Being jostled as I am in being some ones baggage? ;)

Trutik:
You realize that silvery mists seen through the tears in the walls are the same as the mists of Astral Plane...

Will Save:1d20+3

You don't get a Will Save, but you may roll Fortitude with -2 penalty. Same goes for Lureene.

Ah-HA!

Fort Save:1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15

Meera fitfully struggles in her spore-induced slumber, but remains unconscious.

"These mists are the same as that of the Astral Plane." Trutik comments to no one in particular.

At one moment Lureene opens her eyes, but once again succumbs to the spores in her body.

The ground shakes and tears, revealing a passageway in front of you. It seems strange now, but the passage seems to be made of stone and not of living flesh.

Everybody 500 XP

Male Pixie

"This way looks promising," the pixie speaks softly, fluttering before the newly opened passageway, "at least the way seems more... reliable, than trying to navigate the bowels of whatever creature we currently occupy."

"Bugger it all, I'd sswear thiss place waited til I wass down here before it openned that damn door."

Zissaren levers himself back into the chamber and picks up the unconcious girl again.

"Sshall we be off then?"

The Cat slips out of its hiding place and steps into the light. "Stone is definitely preferable to this horrid intestine. Let us hurry and remove the sleepers before anything else arrives to devour us."

"Aye, let's move." Trutik answers while repositioning the sleeping woman on his shoulder.

Arathalia jions the others a disturbed expression on her face

*snoring softly*

well not really, just wanted to let everyone know i'm still here

Al follows the group out of the fleshy chamber, carrying Rodrigo awkwardly in his arms.

Once outside, he stops to rest the badger on the ground. Pulling up his sleeves and loosening the straps on his healer's kit, he speaks to the half-troll and half-dragon, "Why don't ye lay those lasses down for a while an' I'll take a better look see."

Heal checks to try to counteract the poison:
Lureen: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (14) + 12 = 26
Meera: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (5) + 12 = 17

"You got it. Trutik acknowledges the man, laying the sleeping woman on the floor by the badger.

Still slumbering along side Lureene. Just letting folks know I'm also keeping an eye on the thread.

The room around you is a large circular chamber of bare stone. Alongside the wall are 12 small cots with dirty bedding and manacles set in the stone above them. One of the beds looks recently used. In the middle of the floor is a large bronze ring set in stone, and precisely above it there is an apple sized rose-colored crystal in the ceiling. The crystal gently pulses and illuminates the chamber. There are no obvious exists.

Under your ministrations, Lureen slowly wakes, but Meera is still slumbering. A prayer or spell for curing poison would help her, but she is too weak right now for another try at more conventional healing. If she doesn't wake by herself, you'll have to wait till tomorrow to try again.

Meera, Fortitude with -4 penalty to wake.

"Damn it!" the old man exclaims in frustration as Meera continues to slumber, "Do any of ye have any thing t'fight off poison?"

Holding the holy symbol of Shaundakul tightly, he sends out another wave of healing energy on the chance it might make a difference. 1d6 ⇒ 6 healing to everyone.

Thanks to the expert ministrations of the healer, Lureene's eyes flutter open, and after a brief hacking spell getting rid of the remaining spores in her lungs, she inhales deeply for the first time in days, it seems like.

She looks up at her healer and, on impulse, gives him a hug.

She turns to her rescuers and says "I believe I owe you all a debt I cannot repay!"

Looking around her, she asks "Where are we, anyway?"

"Good question lady." Trutik looks down at Lureene as she awakens. "If we are still inside a creature, I would venture to believe it has some sort of plane shifting ability. Other than that, it seems like we all have no idea."

Lureene gets up and looks around for a moment.

"This is odd, its like we have been transported into a dungeon of some kind.

She notices the oddly beautiful elf female scanning the room, and hesitates, noticing the crystal pulsing with a light within.

How interesting...

She raises her hand up towards the crystal and murmers a quick incantation.

Cast Detect Magic on the crystal, concentrate for 3 rounds for all effects.

It seems to you that the brass circle is some kind of teleport device. The crystal radiates drowsiness. Almost like it constantly casts some weaker version of Sleep spell.

Lureene :
Whole room blazes with blinding energies. Everything around you shines with magic, nearly shutting your inner eye. You can't decipher anything because the intensity of ambient magic is overwhelming. It's like even the walls are magical.

Lureene concentrates for a few seconds, squinting her eyes at the crystal. After a short period of time, she screams out in pain and closes her eyes reflexively.

By Baator's fury, this place is blinding me! Such powerful auras, I have never felt this much power before!

Female Spellwarped Ghost Elf Witchblade 1(Warlock/Hexblade gestalt)

"Whatever you do, stay away from the circle. It is a teleportation point to who knows where. The crystal emanates a feeling of drowsiness, like a sleep spell but weaker."

Lureene, once she recovers from the blinding effects of the auras, turns to the elven female, and says "Well, that explains the auras I felt." Looking around, and not seeing any exits continues "It looks like the circle might be our only way out of here, though."

Lureene:
By the subtle shifts in gravity, you are able to determine that you are on the edge of Astral plane, but at the same time still on Prime Material.

Lureene looks around at her new companions and says with a note of uncertainty in her voice "I hanve some knowledge of planar realms, and I think we are still on a Prime Material plane, although whether on, or in Khaledrun, I have no idea."

Male Pixie

"If the gem is radiating sleep magic, might it not be related somehow to our slumbering friend here?" Luff asks, fluttering around the chamber.

Lureene looks at the diminutive creature, and replies "Well then this magic would be affecting everyone here, so is anyone feeling sleepy at all?

Male Pixie

"Not particularly," the pixie relies, hovering in front of Lureene, "but perhaps the magic is only strong enough to keep someone asleep."

Female Spellwarped Ghost Elf Witchblade 1(Warlock/Hexblade gestalt)

"No, annoyed, confused, but not sleepy."
