Hi again folks.
Well, boy had a decent day at school. Now they are watching Cars...again....and eating Kids Cuisines.
My lunch was Health Choice fetticcini, not so great, I have decided that healthy meals aren't that great. :\
Ramen noodles for me and mac and cheese and hot dogs for the kids.

I don't do Ramen. :\
That stuff is so high in sodium and choloesterol.

To me, most Thai food smells good during preparation and eating. Afterwards, if left to linger in the kitchen, yuck. Also, there is a curry that makes me sneeze like nuts if it gets into the house while cooking.
The main smells of the salad were vinegar and onions.
One of the girls at work orders Thai food alot, and it makes the store stink for two days. :\

Yeah, fish sauce can be pretty strong. n the othe hand I have never liked kimchi, until I had some homemade kimchi at the Korean Festival. Then my wife had to stop me from stealing it off my kids plates.

I buy low sodium whole grain ramen from the health food store.

I love Japanese food though, and some sushi. I have tried Thai, I just didn't like it.

So Mairkurion is found of pointing out :)
Whatever. It's not at the Chinese restaurants I go to, only the Thai ones. (Actually, there is one Chinese restaurant that has it, but it's nasty.)
I'm acutely aware that the food that I eat and call "Chinese", "Thai", "Japanese", and "Korean" have barely any resemblance to the actual cuisine of those countries. It doesn't make them any less delicious, though.

I love chinese food, unfortunately I can't eat at any of these resturaunts here in MB. Hubby does much of teh pest control and none of them are clean. I miss it though.

I looked at the normal Alfredo that I normally get, and the calories were like 500 and 17 grams of fat. :\
So I got the healthy ones, and they are no where as good and nor do they fill me up! :\
It's the Alfredo sauce. It's mostly cheese and cream. I can't imagine what they make the low fat kind out of, but you know it's not going to be the same.

You could always make your own. I have found that most of it is really simple to cook.

I know I should try some of the others to see if I can find something I like...but I love alfredo, and its one of the things that you can get microwaved that is kinda ok.

I buy Newman's Alfredo Sauce. It is all natural and has only 90 calaries and 8 grams of fat per serving. It has all the stuff I would put into alfredo sauce if I was making it.

I wonder why I've never seen that at the store. I love their "Sockarooni" tomato sauce.

Like I said, try Newman's Own. It's great and low fat.

I've only been able to find it at one of the four grocery stores in town. If I could get it somewhere else I would have no reason at all to go to Wal-Mart.
