Tea's good. I've been drinking a lot of Indian tea with cardamom in it, lately.

Cardamom is so delicious. Oh, crap. Now I'm hungry for pulla bread :/

(not your fault, new diet, hard not to think about food I shouldn't have just now)

Well my chipolte honey glaze went over like a cat at a dog convention. Back to the drawing board.

Moorluck, glad to hear you got some different antibiotics. I hope you'll be on the road to recovery soon. Don't overdo it this week at work.

Lynora, good luck with the exercise and diet change. I need to get back on track with that stuff myself.

Ambrosia, good luck with NaNoWriMo. I hope you got a lot done today. :)

David, good luck with your next culinary creation. Actually, I think a cat would go over very well at a dog convention. ;)

I hope everyone else is doing well. I got some writing done today--not as much as I would have liked, but it's a start.

I did a bunch of dumb grading and critiquing for my stupents. Also, did some straightening as the library was getting pretty out of hand. On a positive note, a certain Seattle football team got what was coming to them.

RPG Superstar 2012

New page.

(The thrill is gone isn't it?)

WOO-HOO!

Hey, anyone look at Twitpics recently? Jason's desk looks a lot neater than I expected it to be.

I think the neater the desk, the madder the owner. :)

Well, that can't be right. My desk is a mess and we all know I'm batsh*te crazy. ;)

Curiouser and curiouser.

Still, it disturbed me a bit, so it's good I got the desk at least 60% neater today.

You're the exception that proves the rule. :)

I read your KQ review, M. Very nice.

Glad you enjoyed it. There's a lot of stuff packed in the latest issue, and I was trying to cover the ground, but not be so shallow as to be useless.

Hey, is anybody around? I'm trying to help a friend find a movie she saw on TV years ago, in B&W, in English, in which aliens come to Earth on the verge of detente between the US and USSR. She remembers that the aliens expressed disappointment in the Russians, whom they had hoped would turn out to be real warriors. It sounds to familiar to me, but I'm not remembering it. I figured someone here would.

Glad to hear that it wasn't pneumonia, anyway, Moorluck -- hope it feels better soon!

RPG Superstar 2012

That movie sounds familiar, M, but I can't place the name.

Lynora, I *finally* got Mason Szerencse ready. Let me know if he's OK.

And, with that, I wish you all a good night.

You do all realize that Teter is probably planning some kind of horrible revenge against anyone who regularly participates in this thread? Why he...

After another "discussion" tonight I say to Gary: Please bring it on and be quick about. :/

In a related note: he could do each of us via the Alphabet. An Aardvark, then maybe some Blue Bottles, then I don't know... Crabs?

On another related note: Hey lynora, remember that Thread last year(?) where we made each post a letter of the alphabet? You did those Alphabet pics as well. That was a cool Thread. :)

Sorry you're having a rough time. :/ (hugs)

And yes, I do remember that thread. I think I went there looking for inspiration last year when I was drawing that alphabet bestiary for Bryce. It was a cool thread :)

Yeah. You can find all the illustrations on my deviant art page. If you want to print it out for your kids, I can email you the word file with the text. I warn you, it's badly written poetry ;)

So I have a very sad story. It turns out that the service that Amazon uses to do e-checks doesn't work with my bank. So I won't be getting the bestiary anytime soon. Ruth says we can get it at Barnes and Noble the next time we go to St. George, but the next time we do that won't be for two weeks and that's assuming that Barnes and Noble has a copy when we go, and we have the money to get it. :(

I'm thinking about withdrawing $20 tomorrow and $20 next Tuesday in order to have the money. That way we are not trying to come up with it all at once.

AZ, did you see the secret passage idea I posted on the ideal home thread?

Scarab Sages

Yes I did. Very nice. Although I've got to admit. On my list, that would be ranking somewhere at the bottom, simply due to how much it might cost.

Still, all those links give me ideas.....

Yeah, the whole house was about $750,000. It had a lot of great things though, like a drop down plasma television.

Wow, that's not a bad price. Before the housing bubble burst, a new sngle family home here in the area of Philly where I live would go for about $500,000.

A soul cake, a soul cake,
Please, good missus, a soul cake,
An apple, a pear, a plum or a cherry,
Any good thing to make us all merry.
One for Peter, two for Paul,
Three for the One who made us all.

God bless the master of this house
The mistress also,
And all the little children
That from your table go;
The cattle in your stable,
The dogs at your front door,
And all that dwell within your gates--
We’ll wish you ten times more.

A soul cake, a soul cake,

It's a smaller market so the prices weren't as inflated. The contractor, who is my wife's cousin, said that the equivilant house in L.A. would have been about $8.5 million.

I always tell my wife that if we ever hit the lottery, we'd design and build our dream house. Of course, it would help if we bought tickets....

So what did I miss?

Scarab Sages

Well, Samson decided that Kelly and Mitchell needed to be taught a lesson for humiliating him with that midget. Meanwhile, the diabolical Dr. Sanders finally met his end at the hands of all the Septugenarians he'd wronged. And Lauren finally found out what Stuart had been hiding about his past in Rio...No what that's my soap opera.

Good morning, everyone.

Sorry to hear about how life in general is going for you, Flash. Sorry to hear about the Bestiary, David.

Lynora, have you determined if your house is wasp-free?
