I'll say this. There were attempts to mollify us by saying "Hey, no problem, Nick will give refunds". Well, I've been trying since last November. His last message to me was about 2 months ago w/ a "any day now!".

There appears to be at least 1 poster who actually got a refund. Congratulations on winning the lottery, b/c I don't imagine many people who asked for these fabled refunds ever got them.

Its clear that the man does not have the cash flow to give everyone refunds;heck he cant even pay up to maintain the website. I dont get how he could waste Louis and everyone elses time and effort; feel bad for those guys who did put in the effort to get Razor Coast to the finish line...well, almost.

I will say this. I have been patient with Mr. Logue. Maybe too patient. I have really started to lose my patience. Lou Agresta and friends did a Herculean job of moving the moribund RC down the chute towards eventual production. After that, nothing.

The recent "April Fool's" fiasco really showed me a few things I hadn't been ready to admit to myself. I am angry at Nick, not just because of the money, or the vaporware, or the fact that Louis Porter can play dirty tricks and mock his product without any reply from him. I think I am most angry at is that I defended him for so long.

I think I am about at the point where I am losing patience. I think I would even ask for my money back, although it seems obvious that there are few if any refunds winging their way from wherever in Blighty he is laired up.

*sigh*

I think I will just write off the cash and be a little sad that someone I admired has let me down.

(lol) you know how my pbp is at 13th level now? There was a time long ago when I was planning that the next bit of it would be Razor Coast...

Oh yah. I started a homebrew PbP that was nautical themed with the thought that I would be heavily leaning on RC for filler.

That game was cancelled over a year ago.

Lnks please...LINK! :D I'd like to see all that LPJr stuff, and you know what they say, there is no "bad" publicity...

Nick, if you can read this, please refund my RC pre-order by buying me PAIZO gift certificate in the equivalent amount.

Sorry but I just can't wait for the book anymore. I'd lose more money if Paypal remits the money to me in philippine pesos as the exchange rate dropped several times against the dollar.

Yeah, you removed my post. And I call 'em like I see 'em.

In short, I'm angry at Nick, not myself, for pre-ordering a product from who used to be a reputable person. Lesson learned.

Dark Archive

Ok. I sent Nick a message on FB. Let's see if he responds.

Well, you can also have a USD credit on your Paypal account and use it for your next shopping.

I am German and the exchange rate is lousy, so I have some 80 USD credit in my paypal account.

For all those who want refunds:

I used this email address and Nick answered after a few days

loguen@essex.ac.uk

Dark Archive

I sent an email to Nick at loguen@essex.ac.uk. Let's see if he responds and actually gets me a Paizo Gift Certificate.

So I had originally preordered it after about a month of it being announced. Eventually (sometime a year and a half ago) I gave up (and money was tight) so I asked for a refund (and got it).

Then, things started getting good again, the site was hot, and other things were moving (I don't recall specifics, maybe Lou -who I greatly admire- picked up the project). In any case, my faith was renewed and I foolishly preordered AGAIN.

I've now finally given up entirely. I just emailed (moments before this) Nick for a refund. I'll return here and post if I ever get it.

The new cards and Rule of Fear has been shipped, the tattoo book will be great when it comes. just like this book.

Dark Archive

Two days have passed and no response from Nick yet.

Stay tuned.

The Exchange

Rad, you have emailed him on his work email (.ac.uk is the address for UK universities) on a Saturday. Anyway, the universities will have broken up for the Easter holiday. I suggest you don't hold your breath as he may not be checking that much at the moment.

The Exchange

I just don't understand given there is a finished product why he can't just release the PDF now. I don't even care about the printed book any more.

Well, I do care for the print version. I've waited for an eternity and, while I'd prefer a pdf to nothing, I'd expect a partial refund if a print version would not happen.

Thanks for that, though I also sent him a message to his FB account.

Nick has been up-front that anybody who pre-ordered and wants a refund should get one, straight-away. If anybody's requested a refund but hasn't received one, that would a serious violation of trust, and I'll stop trying to defend Logue. I haven't heard anybody make that claim against him, though. Anyone who is currently waiting for a pre-ordered copy of "Razor Coast", is doing so of his or her own free will.

It's been a while since you wrote that (back in November, I think). If you still haven't heard anyone claim to have requested a refund, and not received one...I'm making that claim.

I requested a refund for Ebon Shroud and Razor Coast about a month and a half ago. I've received nothing.

I've seen a number of posts from others who've requested refunds, and who've also received nothing.

I've seen no recent posts from anyone who has actually managed to get their money back from Logue, either here on Paizo or on EnWorld (I seem to remember a post to that effect from sometime last year, though).

Just wanted to set the record straight. Thanks.

*sigh*... I just hope Nick is still alive... or Lou...

Just keeping the record straight...Lou, by all accounts, did an AWESOME and some might say saintly job, working on, and finishing RC.

Then he handed it back over to Nick, ending his involvement with the project (apart from poking Nick for us every once in a while).

Lou has performed a herculean effort to save RC, and despite that, Logue STILL hasn't gotten off his ass to publish it.

I just wanted to make sure that people knew that Lou has only moved the project forward, and has in no way been responsible for delays or holdups that we're upset about.

LOU ROCKS!

To Lou!

Seconded! Lou ROCKS! *Raises a stein of beer to him from a nice German beer-garden* - Hooray for Laptops and hooray for Lou! He just should write more adventures. They are always a pleasure to read & run.

Yeah Lou, stop trying to save the world, erm, RC and write something for Paizo!

That seems like a request outside of Lou's immediate control. :)

That's when he comes out of the phone booth in his new guise as the Pimp in Orange and gonna-hafta-smack-a-b*tch to explain that his job ain't easy. ;-)

So still no website did anyone get their money back from Nick recently?

I'll take my chances and wait for the promised books to be published. RC and the GM cookbook. Which probably means I'll still be waiting for either of them when 2020 rolls around more than likely.

Seconded, FenrysStar. I waited too long and got too pissed too many times to now get annoyed over refunds. I've written the money off and if we get some books - that's cool. If not, oh well.

For the record, about 2 months ago I did write Nic at loguen@essex.ac.uk. I told him I'd still wait for RC but that I wished a refund for the many other items I preordered. He wrote back within about 2 days with an apology, saying he sent two payments to my PayPal account. Again, that was 2 months ago. No refund has actually appeared and 2 emails back to him reminding him of such have gone unanswered.

I do feel like it might be in his best interest at this point if he just admits his priorities and refund folks for products which don't (and likely won't) exist.

At the same time the sheer hours and days of good gaming he brought to my table in a plethora of great adventures over the past 6 or 7 years still have me respecting the man's privacy and hope he does find time to make this right in the end.

I have been a big defender of Nick over the course of this boondoggle. I still would like to think he would want to make things right with his customers, but the fact there have been no updates or anything since RC left Lou and Co.'s capable hands has me thinking that is not going to happen.

I don't think I'll bother to try and contact him as of yet, seeing as that is just further frustrating people at this time. If you do read this Nick, if I thought I would have a shot at getting my money back I would be emailing you for one.

I would say that if you have spent the money, it behooves you to complete the projects and deliver them. Otherwise you are no better than a thief IMO. I don't need fiendish paving stones, I either need cash or product. You may not be interested in the RPG community anymore, but karma has a way of exacting justice, never doubt. Shed the bad karma and pony up the refund cash or finish the product.

I agree with this!!!

As of this morning:

Quote:

Hi Carmen!

Refunded! Sorry for all the delays and waiting around!

Nick

Full refund for all three products. So I'm done.

Dark Archive

Hehehe Nick finally replied to my email and will try to do a Paizo Gift Certificate for me.

Liberty's Edge

And my refund has come through; there was a technical difficulty. Nick resent and all is confirmed. He's a stand up, albiet busy, fellow.

I still don't want my refund for Razor Coast however, because I still trust to hope.

The Exchange

Maybe those in contact with Nick might want to suggest to him that he actually comes and speaks in public to those of us who haven't asked for refunds yet and still want the product we've paid for.

Silver Crusade

I never did preorder, but I am still eternally patient for Razor Coast. Have been ever since the Indulgences and Pele preview. :)

Damn straight! Man up!

I am hearing that he is still coming out with RC and the AGC. Putatively at the 'end of the summer'. I have been patient this long, I will be patient a while longer. I will echo the others that have said it would behoove you to post here on the thread you started and give us a solid timeline on when we can expect our preorders to be delivered. It would be the right thing to do.

Yup and maybe answer some questions too. Depending on how late "end of summer" is, I may have to give him a change of address. Right now, I have no idea how to reliably give him that info.

Not really in contact. I sent that email out requesting refund 2 months ago.
