Hey folks. I'm a newcomer to the Albany area (I'm living in Mechanicville specifically) and was looking to get some gaming done. It's been 4 whole weeks since my last gaming session and I'm beginning to lose sanity. Please help out a fellow gamer in need and let me know who is out there!

Sorry, man, missed you by a mile. I left Troy in '94.

Dammit! I pass through Troy every day on my way to work! Got any old friends you'd recommend? :D

Alas, no gamers. I've had some nice times talking to Tina at the Olde Judge Mansion in North Troy about changes in the city (nice building, but avoid those streets after dark). I think Frank Spear and Bruce Watson still teach at RPI on the hill. Outside of those three, just about everyone I was friendly with has jumped ship for safer cities -- you might check and see if my good friend Mike Moon is still working at Holmes & Watson (which used to be the greatest pub in the world), but the chances of that are slim to none.

Outside Troy, last I heard my friend John Nadeau was still in Clifton Park. EDIT: Just talked to him. Yep, still there. I'm envious.

I know Shiny is up in Ticonderoga, but that's still a bit of a schlep.

A good chunk of my family lives in Schenectady, but I don't think any of them are gamers.

Pleeeeeeeeaaaaassssseeee???

How Desperate are you? I live over an hour away near Warrensburg (exit 23 of 87). I was tring to get a game together with a few locals but that looks like its falling apart. So if you wanted to meet half way I would be up to a game. I'm kind of new to 3.5 (I played a couple games a few years ago when I was in the military) and I use to play 2nd ed. Idealy I would like to play but eventualy I'd like to try my hand at GMing. Let me know and I'll see about pulling togeter the people I know who are still interested.

An hour away is a bit of a jaunt. I have found a couple of local people, 2 to be exact, but it takes more than 3 people to make an effective gaming group (generally speaking). I'd like to keep them involved but we haven't even really gotten together to hammer schedules and the like. I'll be meeting with one of them tomorrow night. We'll see what the timing looks like and I'll get back to you here.

The best I could probably pull together would be me + 1 or 2 so not anybetter. But if you wanted to try and get your 2 plus who ever I can get and meet say in Glens Falls or Saratoga (still a 30 to 45 min drive) you'd have a full group.

That might work. The issue would be finding a place to play at in one of those places.

I know of a few places in either city.

Dark Archive

My Husband and I live down in Coxsackie, Ny about a half hour south of Albany via the Thruway. We play mostly in Catskill but might be getting a game together in Delmar. Also we both work in the Albany area, I work in Albany he works in Menands. If you are interested in getting a Pathfinder game together we can discuss it further. My email address is DDragonWarden@yahoo.com.

Liberty's Edge

I'm telling you, Oneonta!

Sorry, just had to give my hometown a shout out ;)

I know this thread is a little old but wanted to see if there was anyone still interested. I have been a DM for about 10 years off and on and am currently looking for players to game with. I like the pathfinder system so I use it in my games. I delve into fantasy, modern and scifi games. My longest running campaign was home-brew and based, loosely, on the Fallout game series and ran for almost 2 years before I had to move away from my group.
