Male Ithorian Noble 1

Today is kind of my busy day in RL, have my in person game day today. So I'll probably be following posts for the next hour or two and then won't be around to check again until fairly late PST.

Not a problem. Everyone was eager to get going on this over the past week, so I've been posting up a storm to get the story rolling.

Male Human . . . ish . . .

I'm probably going to drop out of responding for just a bit to let everyone get another round of what they want their character to do, so I don't leave anyone behind. Thanks all, this has been really fun so far.

Sovereign Court

Yeah, that's fair. I've been posting a lot and poor HK hasn't even gotten to do anything!

Aruuna's on the bridge, just playing around.

Male Ithorian Noble 1

I'm certainly enjoying this as well. I'm starting to wonder with my horrible streak of knowledge checks if I have to develop a different side to my character. Maybe he is the very book smart sort, but he doesn't handle pressure well and seems to forget a lot of his stored knowledge when its being called for. Hopefully(dice willing) this is something he'll overcome.

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

I was looking at my online profile (AKA character sheet). Do I get a destiny point for Groodar or do I have to choose an actual destiny to get one of them?

Male Human . . . ish . . .
Groodar Greepbar wrote:

You had me choose a secret destiny for you, so you do have a destiny, you just don't know what it its . . . meaning, yes, you have a destiny point.

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

Oooooo, secret destiny......

I will add a destiny point on to my character sheet.

I'm holding back on posting until everyone indicates what they are doing in the potential surprise round. I'm still trying to reel myself back in a slow the pace a wee bit, as I'm still kind of driving this one pretty fast, and I don't want to leave anyone behind.

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

Hey knight I noticed you were on the d20radio forums. Do you listen to the Order 66 podcast? Great stuff!

Also, I just noticed the sporting blaster pistol only gets a measly 6 shots from an energy cell. Woah! I should have bought extras or a power pack for it. What a newb I am.

Male Human . . . ish . . .

Yeah, when I started listening to the podcast on a regular basis I really got an itching to run Saga.

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

Um, I forgot Groodar is trained in Perception so I get a +5 to his skill checks. I will make sure to factor that in future dice rolls.

You probably aren't going to beat the camera droid on that score thought. ;)

I wanted to post seriously as a follow up and you made me laugh you bag of bolts, you win scene stealer of the day dude.

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

Ya I laughed big time while here at work. I now have to think of a witty reponse to this mechanical genius.

I will not be upstaged by a droid!! LOL

Dude, that made my day! HK-47 is my absolute favorite part of KOTOR and any chance to play an homage to him is well worth it!

Male Ithorian Noble 1

It is going to be interesting to be playing with the droid, he is so the opposite of my character in a lot of ways. I don't see my character having a lot of sense of humor and he's certainly quite far from the homicidal maniac too. It will be fun to see him playing out with the different jedi too.

So far we have the following that have acted in the surprise round:

Danguard*

HK-22

Christy

Goodar

Ceelel

So, before we move on to initiative, we'll wait for the following to post:

Aruuna

Remar

Klonsa

Thanks all.

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

What about poor Groodar and his 6-shot blaster pistol (what a newb I am). Did he hit a droid? :)

Male Human . . . ish . . .

Whoops, just a second.

Male Ithorian Noble 1

I think we have moved far enough into this campaign that I should surrender dice rolling privledges. I'm pretty sure invisible castle has something against me at this point.

But think of it this way . . . if this keeps up, statistically you are due for a string of natural 20s whenever you get to Darth Campaignkiller at 20th level . . . ;)

HK-47 was huge in that game, he was a permanent party member once I got him. He was one of the few I couldn't remove from my party due to his colorful attitude.

They didn't do him justice in KOTOR2 either, which was a shame. That games ending though still bothered me.

Male Ithorian Noble 1

Well I think a big part of what killed KOTOR 2's ending was that the game was rushed a great deal out the door and the end suffered for it. The last planet was actually designed to be a really big thing with all sorts of elements to it that should have added to the game, but they weren't quite finished when it was getting pushed out so they got chopped. If you have it on PC rather then Xbox there are actually some mods out there where people have tried to restore all the content that is on the disk but never was used to make the game as they think it was meant to be. Lots of skins and terrain and dialogue was already there, it just wasn't put in place.

I was always bothered in KOTOR 2 that they never finished HK's sidequest involving the duplicates. From what I've read that sidequest would have you go back to the Telos military base and find the droid factory producing the HK-50s there.

first roll for me was a 1, but the second was a 20. Them castle dice are a fickle bunch of dice for sure.

I remember that HK mentioned the factory, and I guess on the disc is content for the factory too, but you can't ever get there as it was indeed cut. I'll have to look into the PC versions and mods to replay the games. I had both on xbox, so no mods there. kotor1 though is still awesome.

I hope the new bioware mmo takes a lot of material from them on lightsaber construction, robes and style, and combat moves. I have faith in bioware to do it right though.

Wow, what horrible rolls. The electronic dice are revolting for me.

Male Ithorian Noble 1

Woohoo! And Ceelell might have actually hit. Its nice to have the dice's hatred focused away from me for once, though hopefully it will turn towards the NPCs instead of any of us.

Behold, ye mighty, and despair.. at my photoshop skills!

New picture of Aruuna. She looks exactly like this (except for the commlink on her left wrist. But that can easily be hidden under the sleeve)

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

That's hawt!!

Shame we cannot use our own pcitures for aliases on the Paizo boards.

Did you recolor that or draw from scratch? - that is very nice.

Sovereign Court

I wish I could draw like that. :P That's just a recolour.

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

Now that we have actually had a combat I been meaning to ask as I did not see this listed on your rules.

How are we handling ammo for weapons that use them? Do you want us tell you everytime we update our character sheet with spent ammo or do we just do it?

You guys can just keep track of your own ammo. I know you're good for it. ;)

But definitely keep track . . . especially the way HK-22's autofires were flying. ;)

In case you missed it in the main thread, each of you gained 400 xp for that encounter, as posted in the main thread.

I Love HK-xx's!

I couldn't help but try to capture HK-22, he is a borther in arms after all.

p.s. I also apologize I couldn't "MP3" them, I used beta software and it marked them somehow un-editable, I will resolve this programing flaw in the future.

p.p.s. please consider this an application to be on your waiting list, meatbag.

  • As soon as Remar and Christy check in, we'll move the story forward. I want to make sure everyone is caught up before we get any deeper into what's going on.

Great game so far guys, this is a blast!

    Male Human . . . ish . . .

    Hey everyone.

Patrick had let me know that he wouldn't likely be back on to check what was going on until after Sunday, so I didn't want to get too far ahead of him.

Since I'm checking in on everyone, I've got a question.

Does anyone mind me having their e-mail addresses, just so I have outside contact information (for example, if someone is out of contact for a few days, so I can make sure everything is alright).

I know its far too easy for a pbp to loose steam, and at least knowing when potential gaps in participation might help to offset "drift," and it never hurts to have another point of contact beyond the boards.

That having been said, I completely understand if anyone doesn't want to pass on your e-mail addresses.

If you don't mind me having them, you can send me a line at KnightErrantJR "at" gmail "dot" com, and just let me know who it is that is sending me the e-mail so I can get you added to the address book.

    Thanks all.

Patrick hasn't posted since Tuesday, is he away on vacation or something?

    Male Human . . . ish . . .

He told me he wasn't going to have internet access over the weekend, so I knew that much.

    Sovereign Court

So yeah, I was just listening to the Order 66 podcast, and they got to the episode where they talked about the Errata (I'm listening to them in order). And it appears that the Acrobatic Strike feat no longer gives a +5, but a +2 bonus. While this makes Aruuna a sad Jedi, I can live with it. Should I just take a force point off to make up for my earlier mistake?

Further, are we using all the latest Errata?

I love that podcast. I just started listening last week, I got from 1 through 24 I think down so far, and it's really gonna stink once I'm caught up and have to wait a week in between shows.

Don't worry about the Force point. I didn't even notice when it happened. I printed out the errata, but I didn't bother to check it, although now I've got the updated Saga book with the errata, so my lazy GM butt should do a better job noticing things of this nature.

But, yes, I'm trying to use the current errata, when I don't have a mental lapse and miss something.

    Sorry about that.
