Should be back in action by tomorrow, thanks TT our baby has stopped crying all the time and that was so draining. Hard yards but when she smiles.....
Anyway I was thinking about your gaming story with your son and makes me concerned about doing the same with my son, one day. It seems like you didn't have a chance.
Cheers

I think the moral of my tale is play it straight. Wicht's comments were good too. And you have been playing so you'll be better than I was.
I know what you're saying about baby crying being draining. They've evolved the most piercing tone. It cuts right through you. Squeaky wheels and all.

I feel like Livvy's been taking up a lot of bandwidth lately with her hair-brained idea. I hope no one minds. Well, I know Erizi does.
I find the image of a stubborn 30'-tall woman standing up to the man-mountain amusing, but I'm really not looking for reasons to pick fights with the gladiator. Really I'm not.
| Erizi the Landless |
Sure...Sure ;-). Erizi doesn't mean to come off as contrary either. He has no concept of teamwork due to his upbringing, and for the first time is feeling comradeship. While technically he sees Livvy's plan as terrible...Balance of possible gain vs. possible loss... his feelings are really of betrayal and jealousy.
He feels that he let the party down earlier in combat, and that Livvy is trying to replace him with the Gnoll. Yes it's very childlike, but socially Erizi is a child. Hope the RPing is not messing up anybody's game. I'm enjoying it immensely. Erizi is a very complex character, and I'm finding it a real challenge to play him.
Also...It's up to Livvy and FW if the spoilers are allowed to be read. Erizi is not a quiet individual, and would not mind letting everyone know how he feels...except maybe the Gnoll.

Dear All
It's a shame but I have decided to stop playing on the boards for a long while. My energy levels and creativity have suffered alot since having a second child and my spare time has gradually disappeared over the last few months. There are too many household chores, DIY projects and the like which need to take precedence now. I may even have an opportunity to contribute to one of the 3PP companies in the UK so these games have to be sidelined, even the ones I run.
Thanks for the opportunity to game with all of you, it has been a pleasure and I wish you guys well in the future.
Cheers

Very, very, very sorry to see you go, but I respect your decision. And appreciate like you can only imagine your taking the time to be up front and let us know what the situation is. I've been in games that were just abandoned, even by the DM, and it's no fun checking and checking and checking to see if there's any life, only to have to give up and walk away.
I was looking forward to the adventures of Livvy and her gnoll companion for a long time to come...
Take your time, but if you decide to start back up, I'd be willing. Enjoy the time with those children, you only get this once.

French Wolf, I completely understand. Thanks for running the game, it has been very enjoyable.
Rimrock, Pixie Rogue, Scranford, Kevin, Brett, thank you for introducing me to your characters. I've had a good time hanging out with you guys.
See you all around the boards.

There is always the possibility I could come back to this game. It requires less effort than the other homebrew one, and has some very good characters and players.
I doubt it would happen in the next six months or so and even then who knows? I certainly don't when we are waking at between 4 and 6am every morning for our darling daughter.
All the best to you guys
Take Care
Andy
