Looking for an opinion on Castles & Crusades, especially their adventure modules. Has anyone tried them and are they worth purchasing? Second, can they be adapted for any other campaign setting?
I am playing it right now. The DM says the modules are great, especially for the price.

Second Question, are the 3.5 Revised/Pathfinder adaptable or are they 4th edition?

Not sure if I understand the question correctly, but the Pathfinder Modules line currently uses the 3.5 rule set. After Pathfinder RPG is released in August 2009, they will switch to that rule set (not sure what adventure that is, but I believe Vic has stated it somewhere). There are a few people around converting them to 4th ed, and I occasionally see people saying that they use the adventures in 2ed or earlier games. I suspect the conversion would not be too difficult with a bit of practice. Hopefully someone will pop up with some hands on advice.

The DM was winging things, so we didn't play any of them, but from what I understood of the rules, C&C should be capable of being converted to 3.5/Pathfinder. But, this is like a d20Light system: it would be easier to convert 3.5/Pathfinder paths to C&C. C&C is NOT 4th edition.

Good. That answered my question. I'll look into their PDF modules first.

One thing to keep in mind with C&C is that it is rules light on purpose because the basic mechanic for resolving actions in the game, the Siege Mechanic, is incredibly flexible and simple to use.
As was stated, you should be able to adapt just about any pre-4E adventure to C&C without much effort and the couple of C&C adventures that I've played/own would be pretty easy to convert to Pathfinder/3.5 (mostly you would need to flesh out the monsters a little).
