RotRL 3.5 to PFRPG Beta

Rise of the Runelords

So, this is my first post and I haven't found anything yet to address this and I'm not sure if this is the right place to pose this question and this might be a runon sentence...

Anywho, I'm wanting to run Burnt Offerings. What changes to I need to make to convert Burnt Offerings from 3.5 to PFRPG Beta?

Thanks in advance!

There's lots of info in The Pathfinder Wiki pages...here's a link.

More specifically, look here. And if you make any NPC/monster conversions that aren't up there now, feel free to add them. At this point it's just the first adventure and a half that are covered thoroughly.

Awesome! Thanks for the link. Has anyone converted the 4 pre-generated characters in the back of the adventure? I noticed that both the sorcerer and the rogue would need to have their skills changed up.

Honestly, I'm running it with Beta rules and I'm not changing anything, really just to test the backwards compatibility.

If I've noticed anything, it's really that some of the bad guys need more hp. The +6 hp at first level isn't enough.

I tend to pump up the hps by around 15% and occasionally up the AC by a point or so, just to make 3.5 NPCs a bit tougher. But to be fair, I also did that when running straight 3.5 adventures, because my players are really good and running things straight would get boring pretty quick for them.

I am also using the Beta rules now, and haven't had to change anything. No problems. I do up the HPs a bit, but I do that anyway with a large party.

Thanks everyone for your input! I'm going to keep monitoring this thread in case anyone else wants to contribute any ideas.

I've been running RotRl using the Pathfinder Beta rules and it's a blast. Something I've done, which seems to work great, is to modify certain NPC's to the Pathfinder rules and leave others. This lets the players still feel powerful, but to not just steamroll through the adventure.

For mook NPC adjustments, their HP gets boosted by a few points per die, sometimes bump their AC if it's appropriate, add abit to their BAB etc. None of the changes I've made required any "rewrite" and I just adjust these things on the fly.

Spoiler wrapped so players can still peruse the thread:

Spoiler:
I found that certain NPC's vs. certain parties like Erylium against a mostly melee oriented party is a real beast so she got no upgrades. The goblins in the initial assault, however, were far too squishy to be at all memorable so their stats got Pathfinder attuned to be more of a challenge. I did the same for the Sinspawn that I first tossed at the group unaltered which was a very unexciting fight. A few revisions later the Sinspawn was a beast to be remembered. This is mostly common sense, but the increased power of the Pathfinder classes and such means that some monsters, especially ones with class levels, may become unintentionally powerful.

I'm running through Burnt Offerings with 2 players, one a newbie, and we used the Pathfinder Beta to generate PCs. Since my party is so under strength, I haven't really made any changes to the adventure as written. The extra hitpoints definitely made things survivable for them, since I haven't scaled any of the encounters down.

Spoiler:
I ran them through a short little bandit attack and then through the goblin raid, but haven't gotten any further. They did pretty decently, but the goblins weren't the most coordinated attackers...things might get worse later on.
