Jeeze, and i though my rolls were bad... Is the grass really that tall that I could get that turned around in it? thanks for putting me in this situation lol
I turn around and as I ride past the group I say, "The Hawk that I asked directions from was cross eyed and headed me the wrong way, we need to back track a short ways" with a perfectly straight face. I then continue to ride past them without waiting for a response.

yes, the grass is really that tall...plus there is some roll to the ground. slightly hilly area, so 5-20' rises. I think I wanted it to happen so it did...LoL Mental influence of the e-roll. Cross-eyed eagle...LoL
Make your sense motive rolls and role-play whether you believe him or not...

After getting back on course, you make decent time...the heat has slacked off and Ur-Kaim realizes a monsoon seems to be heading in. Expect high winds, lightning and lots of rain this evening. you know you should not camp in a low area as well, yet high ground will be dangerous as well...
You have to make camp a little early to find a suitable camp and prepare for the monsoon tonight. Unfortunately this leaves you a little closer than you wanted to the Gathering stone.

I take it my 21 wasnt a high enough roll to find any black adders yesterday?
is there any large rocks in this grassy area? trees? areas that would provide partical cover from rain?

lol only 94 gp of progress left

We will find as sheltered spot as we can to camp in for the night, even if it means stopping a little early. I dont imagine that we will be able to start a fire anyway, unless we get lucky, so we will be haveing a cold camp (good thing I made that snake jerky the other day). We will be camping about mid way up one of the taller hills to keep us out of the flash flood plain, as well as keeping us low enough that we will not be at risk of getting struck by lightning.

apologies all, my internet connection went out due to rain, I had planned on having an encounter at this juncture...but since I can't do the full gamut of nastiness at work, we'll just say you have a windy wet evening. COX is coming to fix it tuesday afternoon, so we should be up and running again then, feel free to craft for a day while you're delayed. Role-play it up etc.

Drexel Morrow |

I go out and poke around for some "dinner," after working on my poison crafting.
Survival 1d20+6=13
according to Pathfinder rules that is high enough to provide food for two people, I already have my snake jerky from the other day because of my survival roll, and I imagine that we still have some scorpion left over from last night in our saddle bags, so that should cover everyones dinner and possably breakfast tomorrow

Haruuc spends the time skulking around out in the storm watching the lightning play through the atmosphere.
Stealth Check. (1d20+9=25)
After Drexel's attempts to usurp his leadership of the party, he has been even less talkative with the remainder of the party than normal. He has made his case and if the others decide to follow Drexel's obviously flawed leadership then he will simply follow along, doing what he believes is right while still following the party's goals.

well, i dont see what you are doing but it was worth a shot :) at least i know that you are not digging through my bag since i have it right next to me

You seem to have chosen an acceptable camp site. While lightning struck close-by, no one was hurt. the storm releases its fury as if The Fury himself drove the storm. By morning the storm is gone, and the heat begins to climb once more, only now the humidity is much higher.
You depart early to make up for lost time, (make sure your character sheets are up to date spell-wise.)

After Having spoken to everyone, I get busy messing around with some of my gear.
something like this
______
|__|__|
|__|__|
there will be one of these inserts in the top and bottom of my quiver to keep the arrows separated. since each quiver supposedly holds 20 arrows each slot can hold 5 of a certain type of poisoned arrow
that way I can keep different arrows with different poisons in the quiver at the same time and not get them confused. I will smear the ends of the guide feathers with a staining substance (ash, berry juice, etc.) just to make sure that i have them doubly marked.
My remaining vial of scorpion poison I will keep for if i want to spread it on my sword

Five days pass, travel is hot and humid, tempers are running hot as you've seen no other travelers, few animals and the Dead Grey Mist has been visible for a day now. You have come within sight of the ruins of Lyrenton, do you wish to brave it on the way into the Mournlands? or will you skirt the dead city?

What do we know about Lyrenton?

You know that Kaega-Ko mentioned traveling around it. It's known as a place of death among the goblinoids, where you waste away...only the bravest or foolhardy travel there.

HRUSKIN:
Good Luck with that...I wonder what Drexel will do... WWDD?
Another power play perhaps? This character interaction is interesting, no?

"What supplies would we find in a Cursed ghost town that we could not make ourselves out of the bounty of the wild Ur-Kaim? For once it seems that Haruuc is using his head instead of inflating it with air. We will travel around such a cursed place."
I chuckle to myself at the irony of it all as I mutter under my breath"Though the place that we go after it is just as cursed"

I'll need to know how close you skirt the town as you go around it.

Drexel Morrow |

is the town directly between us and the mournlands currently? If so we will only go a half mile or so (no sense in going way out of our way) out of our way around the town. Unless anyone has objections of course. If the town is out of our way, then we will just head straight for the mournlands missing the town entirely

Silence is deafening this close to the mist, Ur-Kaim and Drexel you're especially disturbed by this silence, it's the silence of the lack of natural order, there are no sounds of birds, or animals, not even the sound of insects. Your animals are very skittish, and you can feel their apprehension, you're certain that if you release them, they will run as far from this area as possible. There is not even a breeze, it feels as if the very land and sky around this area is dead...but not decaying, just freshly dead, even though the Mourning happened over 4 years ago.

Drexel Morrow |

I lead everyone around the town (about a half mi away) toward the wall of mist. I glance toward the town evey now and again looking for movement of anysort. The closer we get to the mist the more on edge I become due to my dislike of Arcane magic and things that go against the natural order. I have my Bow out and ready.

Drexel leads the party around the ruins of Lyrenton...
The entire trip around the city you feel as if at any moment horrors would come streaming from the lost city...You reach the dead grey mist, and your relief at leaving Lyrenton behind is replaced with dread as the pure silence of the mist envelops you, you feel that if you lose sight of the others, you'll never find them again...the sun is no longer visible, just the grey mist, that seems to cling to you...
