UGH My post got eaten!!!
Fine! skeletons missed, Brignat hit, Haruuc/Drexel missed, Hruskin is still behind the dias...you think...
Go ahead and play out the next round guys, I was in a BAAAD mood that week, was still exhausted from Con, and the boards were being finicky, better mood now.

Getting more and more frustrated by his misses, haruuc growls as he once more swings the Flail at his chosen enemy.
Attack Skeleton 15 with Heavy Flail: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
Damage: 1d10 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
I'm ba-aaack... Sorry for my tardiness guys, I had to reformat my PC (and thankfully upgrade to Win7) after coming back from Holidays and have been slow to catch up on my PbPs.

Welcome back...on with the game
The hobgoblins turn the tide of battle, as the combination of attacks bring down one of the skeletons, the one facing Brignat goes down but not before the one facing Haruuc reopens an earlier wound. Still no sign of Hruskin.

Haruuc winces as he once more takes a hit, starting to tire and feel the pressures of the combat, but heartened a little by Brignat's defeat of his opponent. He takes another swing at his own foe, hoping that it will be the last.

Drexel's strike lands a solid blow. While the rest of the room maneuvers and attempts to strike at each other, but to no avail. Still no sign of Hruskin
I'm going to play-test a rule I have been mulling over for a while now. Minimum damage inflicted = amount over AC your TH roll was. Thus Drexel's attack was 6 above the AC so 6 minimum damage, up to the maximum you can inflict. (1d8+2 = max 10) This is ESPECIALLY important in CRITICALS!! I hate getting a critical that rolls 1s...LAME. Let me know your thoughts. Note: this is for PCs and Important NPCs only. Lame skeletons can inflict 1 dmg cuz they're WEAK!.
Skeleton 13 1d20 ⇒ 15
Skeleton 14 1d20 ⇒ 10
Skeleton 16 1d20 ⇒ 11

One of the Skeletons facing Drexel falls, brought down by the light mace. Brignat hits a glancing blow off the other skeleton, narrowly avoiding Haruuc's wild swing
Don't you hate d20s? I think 2d10 is better, it HAS a bell curve. You guys can rework your characters with APG stuff after this combat if you like.

I let out a roar of victory as the first skeleton falls and then I swing at the other skeleton that is confronting me.
Attack 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27

Haruuc sees the other Skeletons falling to his companions and roars in fury at his inability to even hit his opponent. He once more swings the Heavy Flail around in a sweeping arc, trying to smash the thing before him to dust.

Haruuc seems to be in a daze from the blood loss, as he begins attacking the fallen skeleton, pulverizing it's bones.
2d10+2 damage on a critical, str bonuses are doubled as well, only precision damage is not multiplied.
Haruuc Dhakaan
Standing over the remains of his opponent, Haruuc glares at the bones, almost willing them to get back up so he can hit them again for al the trouble they gave him. He instead pulls out a vial while the others examine the dais, downing it's contents greedily.

I will cleave Hruskin's head from his body in hopes of keeping him from coming back a second time, then I will take the time to search the entire room we are in for trap doors or secrete openings. (taking 20)

Hruskin's head comes off cleanly, the little goblin's grin one of determination in death. After an hour of searching, you notice that the area below the sarcophagus sound hollow.
Brignat begins to look over the weapons of the fallen not quite sure what he is looking for.
perception 1d20+3
You can see that the weapons of all the guard are exceptional scimitars, one is the black metal of adamantine, one glows with an light blue radiance, another was flickering with flames while held; that last is silvery in appearance, possibly mithral traced with Valenar style elven runes.
Drexel Morrow
I slide the mace I took off the crushed skeleton earlier into my belt and pat it. "You came in handy, I will keep you around just in case..."
That was prior to spending the hr searching
"Brignat, Haruuc! Come, I have found something under this sarcophagus. Help me find a way to open it."
When Brignat and Hruskin come over, "Did either of you find anything useful in the last hr?"
Drexel Morrow
I don't need adamantine I wouldn't mind the one with light blue radiance or flickering with fire, course if the mithral one is more then just that (since the description said it has elven runes on it) I probably wouldn't mind it either
Haruuc Dhakaan
Sorry, finally got interent back and am still playing catchup (or is that ketchup?).
Haruuc comes over to the sarcophagus with the others, watching Brignat select the black scimitar and Drexel eying off the glowing and flaming ones. Considering taking one of those just to spite the Ranger, but in the end, his curiosity is piqued by the silvery one and he selects this one for his own. He hefts it's weight, feeling how light it is, before turning back to the task of examining the sarcophagus, looking for a way to move it and also feeling around for traps.
Perception Check: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19

Since no one seems to want the glowing blue and flaming sword I shrug and slide both of them into my pack before I resume trying to find a way to open the door I found.
