Once the official Pathfinder RPG is released this year at Gencon, can we still run 3.x-based Pathfinder Society scenarios and give credit to the players? Or are such scenarios effectively "retired" (using the RPGA parlance)?

I would think that that would be allowable, because if the 3.5 PFS scenarios can't be run with the new Pathfinder RPG then Paizo would have failed in their design goal.

I believe it's been stated that (1) existing scenarios should be useable, though possibly with some errata, and (2) existing PCs will be rebuilt using the new rules.
