You spent a day among the varies parts of the city. The city seems unstable with parts barely held in check and other parts lawless. Riots while mostly put down have caused hardship throughout the city with some merchants not coming in for fear of being over come by mobs, thugs and beggars.
Among all this you have found out a few things. Vancaskerkin has holed up in an old butcher shop called All world's meat. It seems him and his men have been giving out meat for free to the people of that district. As such They think of the man as a saint and grow hostile toward anyone they think means him harm. This caused a little bit of an issue but nothing you where unable to talk your way out of.
"On the one side he's pandering to the locals to prevent himself being attacked without warning on the other hand it could be construed that he's not beyond redemption depending on whether he actually cares at all for the predicament he's causing," Reg openly and very quietly notes.
"Still I can't help wondering what caused him to do this or rather who is behind this since I've yet to hear anything that explains why he's done this," Reg asks Euphengina.
In case you're wondering both holy symbols would be hidden under his tunic and Reg would have been helping to keep the peace

morning would probably be best... who's in charge of collecting taxes? I'm wondering if this isn't a bit preplanned... if the guards are in charge then he could have said these taxes weren't paid, put the man in jail then used it as a point of refuge... Could just be my paranoia coming out though.
| Keen |
"What we don't want to deal with is a bunch of charity cases lined up at their door waiting for their hand-outs. We'd get lynched if we tried to raise a hand against them."
"Morning is best but if there is a line out the front door we should wait. Somehow I don't think they are going to come nicely, they know what's in store for them as deserters."

Ok guys Unless I hear from Elric and V I will move on without them . Ok whats the plan maybe mid day?
"So I'll go talk to them in the morning, see if I can't get them to see reason, if that doesn't work we come back later to, ahem, force the issue," Bean offers.
So after I try and talk them out yes, unless I get some objections.

Before walking in Bean uses some of his perfume again and then kisses the back of his hand, a good luck charm/pray for followers of Sune who want her guidance in their actions (casting guidance on self)
"Snake breeder, well that's a new one to me, however just like when I was called a whore it is inaccurate, I've never bred with snakes before, however I've never met one I would want to with yet," Bean starts in, "However I am authorized to negotiate with you about a charge of dereliction of duty. I'm not here to threaten you, lets be clear on that. I simply want to get this mess clean up so everyone can go about living their lives in a pleasurable and joyful manner."

The man looks at bean with a cold star "dereliction of duty! yes we left the corrupt guard, who but us would feed the hungry? The guard set among the rich as the poor starve!" The crowd seems to mumbler in agreement, more people seem to be looking in from the street. "Kick off lackey, crawl back to your warm bed and your ready meal. We will not see the people starve." He seems to be talking to the crowd Ya hear this snake breeder! he wants us to stop to let you stave!" Dangerous and angry mudders seem to drift though the crowd, movement can be heard behind the counter as if people come from the back of the building

The mean come off as compartment with fighting if you can guess by movement, they move as men used to weapons and the trade of war. You can also tell the man does not believe a word he says, but the crowd sure seems to!

"Its a shame that however honourable the reasoning you gave, its clear you do not believe in your own pronouncements. Tell me do you really despise these people so much that you would willingly expend their lives for your lies and deceit?" "Ah yes, because everyone in this room would be more than glad for you to move into their home or business and start handing out their food and livelihood to anyone that walks by." Bean answers, "You sir" He points to a man in line, "Should I just walk into your house and start passing out your stuff to anyone that happens through? Or what if I join the town guard, see you getting mugged by three men, and decide that I'm going to quit this day instead of coming to your aid? Would you thank me for that?"
"All in all your arguments are false -- This food would have ended up being passed out anyways -- sooner if it where not for your meddling, they were planning to start the day you left your post, you coward. However you got in the way because you where too afraid to defend the people when they needed you -- To afraid to do the duty that their money paid you to do. I am here to help without pay, I do not make a copper from doing this, it is civic duty that brings me here -- Not the desire to save my own skin with other peoples goods and lives."

The man seems to bristles at being called a lier " So I am a lier am I, we who while the people were starving , with our own money made sure they were feed!" The crowd seem to mumer in agreement as the send man rings a bell that echos though the building "The food would have been passed out! " He yells "Sure it would, yeah I see the city buying the food right now. The city does not feed the homeless and the poor!"
The crowd seems to be nodding in agreement, and casting subscious looks at the party "So snake breeder would you have the people starve while the city protects the wealthy! How many guards where in this district I ask you good people? how many stopped the looting here? did any?
Muders of "None, no, and never" seem the come from the crowd and a cry of "The black knights killed my husband" rings though the room like a hammer.

"Okay, I'll want to have a word with whoever lost their husband, you're not the only one with misgivings on those banites," Reg calls over.

This man is city guard -- And what did he do? His Job? No -- He is a coward that ran away. He didn't even try. I've already told you this food is to be handed out. Why trust me? Because what he wouldn't do I did. I was out in the streets helping people, for free, because that is what's good and right. But go ahead, trust the coward and thief that took you money as his pay then ran away. After all he has proven himself trustworthy so far. He complains of the guard? HE IS THE GUARD! of course he is afraid -- you should be tearing him apart for betraying you."

Euphegenia is still unarmed, but does have her shield out, she will do her best to get to Bean and spontaneously cast a cure light wounds, trading in magic weapon.
That was too close for comfort! A pathetic 2HP!

Hey you're healing better than I was in that first encounter! Anyways Bean hit you up with a wand earlier... after the fight with the demons, you would probably remember he has one... be a pain to find it on him, but it would save your spells, and if you feel bad about 'stealing' it you are using it on him and can apologize later ;D
