Cheated! I was hoping to see Geddy, Bob and Doug and they only played the audio to a montage.

Best hamlet adaptation ever. Elsinore brewery.. hehehe..

I used to be bilingual, lost it since highschool, but never could understand what the quebecois were saying. All my french teacher were from france.

Can still read and understand it, just can't speak it / write it on the fly.

Unfortunately, I don't think there's a video. I like how Geddy Lee actually did this though, he's an interesting case, that one. :D

I always forget that the movie's a play on Hamlet as I first saw this movie way before I read Hamlet. There's a track on their album where they complain about Hamlet stealing their script. :)

As for the bilingual PbP, that's a great idea, and I want to do it (despite my less than stellar written french)! The question remains when, as I've far too many current responsibilities to run one right now. Can you all wait a month?

Si seulement j'avais un module placé dans la région de Galt, ça serait parfait!

So Shakespeare ripped off Strange Brew.
Priceless.

Did he have a time machine, or use like the realm of faerie as a means of travel?

Not a module, but the scarlet pimpernel should have you covered for derring-do in Galt :)

All I know is that in order to get back in time, he stole the last avro arrow.

Liberty's Edge

Sending me to Wiki.

For the love of everything Canadian guard the maple syrup!

As for the bilingual game: awesome idea Tarren Dei. Somebody should run one very soon. Unfortunately my French is atrociously non-existent or I would want in on that.

I was actually thinking, that we could play it in a language in which two languages were spoken and both could be used. If the game were set in Varisia, then Common (Chelish) = English and Varisian = French. People could move back and forth between the languages like they do in bilingual communities.

It would be cool to be a player who DOESN't speak one of the languages.

You'd always be: "What the heck did he say, friend?"

"Oh, he said to wash the weasels before closing the door."

And Jon Qiang in my Dead Reckoning PBP keeps cursing people out in Chinese, which only the player himself and I understand.

Funny for us. I guess everyone else figures it must be obscene.... but not so funny.

Dark Archive

Kruelaid, you familiar with Filipino curses? And those from the other dialects?

I always feel guilty about this, but in a lot of my PbP the orcs and goblins speak Korean. I use a real language so that it feels like a language to the players and not just gobbedly-gook. I use Korean so that I can remember what they said later. Just don't tell my wife that I think Koreans are orcs or something.
