Hey folks,
I'm curious if anyone has ideas on ways to keep your gear while appearing, or actually being, naked. For instance, a spell that lets you put your stuff in another plane or demiplane until you retrieve them. Or an item, a feat, an ability, anything that will not be confiscated upon capture that would let one keep some or all of their gear.
My character idea revolves around being caught on purpose, then taking out the enemies from the inside. This would be easier if I could retrieve my gear while captured.
Thanks.

Are you expecting to receive a full body cavity search?
Combing the tactics of the average drug mule (really man, don't make me spell this out) with a very small bag of holding has real potential. A bag of holding that can hold 50 pounds of gear might be small enough to conceal inside one's person.
This would all fall under the "unglamorous" side of espionage.

The 2nd edition Tome of Magic had an extradimensional pocket spell (5th level, I think) that let you temporarily stash stuff in the said pocket, which travelled with the caster.
If you need a core spell... along the lines of the aforementioned bag of holding, a Leomund's Secret Chest can hold a lot of gear, whereas the small focus chest is probably small enough to wedge into any number of orifices. Drawmij's Instant Summons would be even better, because you could eat the focus gem and pass it later... but no one of high enough level to cast it really needs it. The latter two in conjunction might be cool: instant summons your focus chest, then use that to retrieve the secret chestful of gear

There are several ways to keep things on you whilst they remain hidden.
The Core Rules provide the Glove of Storing. Unlike most magic gloves, this comes as a single glove instead of a pair. You can store any thing weighing 20 pounds that you could hold in a single hand. This item is held in stasis until you call it out(if you store a lit torch, it remains lit, but does not burn out), which can be done with a snap of the fingers. A pair of these gloves will let you keep two weapons handy(pun not intended... okay, yeah, it was).
The Spell Compendium lists a 2nd level Assassin spell called Absorb Weapon, which allows you to store a light weapon(light for you, at the time of casting) within you. The weapon appears as a reddish blotch on your skin in a shape vaguely resembling the weapon in question. There is no physical way for anyone to detect the weapon, but Detect Magic does reveal the presence of a magical aura. The weapon is released either by touching the mark on your body, or by letting the duration expire.
Aside from that, I'd suggest asking your DM if you could devise or hire a magician to design a smallish version of a Bag of Holding which is also a pocket of a cloak, or something to that effect.
If you wish to take the Assassin's route, I'd still suggest getting a couple Gloves of Storing. This way you can store a couple weapons on your body, and a couple pieces of equipment(lockpicks) in your gloves.

Thanks for the replies.
Since I'm going Chameleon, I will be able to cast any spell up to 6th level. I'm heavily considering Secret Chest, but the focus makes me sad.
I've considered scribing a spell on my arm so I don't need a spell book for one single spell, as an emergency spell, for instance.
The thing I really, really want is psionic. Made for Psionic Nomad alternate class ability, gives you an extra dimensional space inside your body that grows as you level.
I'd pay someone in game to give me that... Hell, I'd do that out of game, too.

Ok so you have been captured and stripped of all of your items, what if the group, that just captured you, casts dispel magic on you. Wouldn't that negate most of these options?
If you go with Gailbraithe's Bag Mule concept, you only lose access to the items while the dispel is in effect.

Plus you can litterally say you pulled a solution out of your ass. :)

Add invisibility or the Armor quality glamored to a custom-fitted skin-tight glove and you can pass "naked" inspection.

You have to decide if the glove somehow contains the item, or if it only provides access to an extra-dimensional space where the item is stored, or perhaps acts as a trigger or doorway to send/summon the item.
If you decide the former, then you need to decide if the dispel spills all contents or simply suppresses access to them.
If you decide the latter, then basically the dispel only "closes the door" for the period of time the gloves are suppressed, and they (it) function(s) normally thereafter.
