Female Shifter Barbarian 1

Just a quick question how are the three of us bound (ie hands, legs, individually together, etc) and how easy to is it to free ourselves from them?

GM

I'll leave that up to you guys.

Female Shifter Barbarian 1

Fair enough would we still have our armour or would that be seen as to suspicious?

Female Kobold Artificer 2/Druid 2

Synatria glares at the elves.

Male Human Wizard 4 (Evoker)

Haedric shoves forward Garroth and begins to speak in Elven.

Elven:
"We bring more prisoners for the mines.

Bluff, if that's needed yet: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16

Male Human Monk 4

Garroth, on the other hand, fully tries to appear beaten down. As Haedric shoves him forward, he'll trip and fall, then slowly pick himself back up, keeping his eyes focused on the ground.

Aid Another (bluff) 1d20 ⇒ 17

GM

The half elf looks at the group of prisoners and nods "Eilyrase kyr,mai myl. Si shasos os Valenar cali shael bondrolai ailaer" He says with a wave as two of the men point their crossbows at the three prisoners "Get to walking you three! " one yells With a motion toward the mine

The half elf bows again"Vaen aily shasos Balalar sar si modael shor shi vaedia ol sosti. Bai baer thys thasaes paestylarol. Shi shym sai si shor so Valenar' He says with a hand thumb to his chest

Elvish

Spoiler:

"Another group, so soon. The warriors of Valenar have been vigilante indeed."

"Please inform warchief Balalar that the shipment will be ready on time. No need for farther demonstrations. We bow to the will of Valenar"

Female Shifter Barbarian 1

Lethe begins to trudge into the mine "Shooting glares at the guards but also clearly not wanting to try her luck at charging at loaded crossbows.

GM

Anyone else want to say or do anything before I move this forward?

Male Human Monk 4

Garroth keeps his eyes focused on the ground, not deigning to look the five men in the eyes. He does take note of their number and weapons, however. Nothing else for me

GM

Moving along then

“Saes shaer sael, sae o shol tes cycys sai si caesyr os or” The half elf call as the two crossbowmen force the prisoners toward the mine

Elvish

Spoiler:

"Fair well then, may you bring much honor to the heroes of old"

Prisoners

Spoiler:

Your lead by the two humans with the repeaters toward the mine, a grasping maw of rock sinking down into the depths of Eberron. "Try anything stupid and you'll starve in the mine fo anyone finds you. Do you get me?" One of the men says, a heavyset fellow with a Cyrian accent. As you pass into the descending mine you notice very little activity, carts and a rough rail system for the carts, your lead from behind, down a few twists and tunnels before you come to a shaft with a wooden platform and pulleys running deep into the depths of the mine

One of the men steps near a table with a white stone mounted on it and speaks a word softly before saying "Prisoners coming down three of em, The other man motions for you to enter the platform before closing a iron Portcullis over the entrance and pulling a lever sending you slowly down the shaft into the darkness

DC 15 Perception check
[spoiler] The word is Alsnnic

I have stopped here as you might want to do something at some point before you get into the depths of the mine, if any actions you take happens before the end of the post let me know and I will change it. The men stay 10' behind you at all time,if your wondering

Female Shifter Barbarian 1

Perception

1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26

Lethe's Ears twitch as the guards mention the password besides that she remains as is

I take it they haven't untied us yet?

Female Kobold Artificer 2/Druid 2

Perception 120 + 7 = 127
Synatria keeps her eyes firmly locked ahead. Assuming they let her keep her cat, she murmurs calming words in in a strange language to Annin, who is trotting at her side and watching the elves who mysteriously appeared out of nowhere (the transformed party members)with suspicion.
Just in case any of the elves somehow speak Druidic:

Spoiler:
"Do not worry, Annin. I swear by Vvarrak that we'll get out of here. This is only temporary."

Male Human Monk 4

perception 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (16) + 10 = 26

Garroth inwardly curses as once again, he realizes they really didn't put much of a plan in place. He glances at the others first, to see if anyone makes a move.

Female Kobold Artificer 2/Druid 2

Synatria looks up and glares harshly at her captors. She says something in a strange and yapping tongue.
Draconic:

Spoiler:
Bloody elven scum. In four nights, you gonna be here begging to let us out. But mark my words, I'll get out of here, even if it means leaving my own kin behind.

She looks long and hard at Haedric and raises an eyebrow.
I'm assuming that, as a wizard, he speaks Draconic. Here's hoping I'm right.

Male Human Wizard 4 (Evoker)

Yes I do, fortunately enough. I assume you yelled that while you were being led into the mines so I could actually hear it?

Haedric passively watches the prisoners being led off.

Uh, anyone remember the next step in our plan?

We hadn't actually reached the mine yet. See Seeker's post.

I came up with one, but I can't really explain it any more than I already have.

GM

A note on Annin. I thought you left her behind. I can not see the guards buying the elves not killing any pets/wild animals and allowing you to keep such a threat. Also as no ones said much I am guessing the three outside have left?

Inside the Mine

Spoiler:

As the platform descends into the shaft, you sit in darkness and silence. Minutes pass as you sink ever deeper into the earth. At last light peeks into the darkness as the platform comes to rest in a dimly lit tunnel. You can make out five forms outside the gate.

"Try anything funny an ye dead. Simple as that" A gruff dwarf says, standing in the middle of four well armed dwarfs with crossbows and battle axes and two sweaty dirt covered humans . "My name is Kendar d'Kundarak, overseeing of this mine. I do not care what ya did, I do not care what ya didn't do. I am here to see that this mine runs smooth and stay profitable. When his gate opens Garon and solt here He nods toward the two humans "Will be chain your legs with manacles, make a move we shoot you down. Do your work and you may leave here alive. Cause me trouble and into the lime pit ye go." With that the two humans{looking haggard and dressed in ragged clothing) step forward to shackle your feet

Female Shifter Barbarian 1

^&*^& Lethe thinks to herself as she realises her plan may not have been such a good one after all. Looking between the dwarfs and herself she tries to judge how much distance there is between them.

GM

Once the gate lifts you got about 10 feet

Female Kobold Artificer 2/Druid 2

"Wait!" Synatria says desperately, looking a bit panicky. "We came here looking for her sister." She points to Lethe. "Have you had another shifter like her here recently?"
He is taking deep breaths, and her eyes dart from side to side.

Female Shifter Barbarian 1

Lethe's mouth just drops open as Synatria gives the entire game away. "Why you little......." Is all she is able to choke out.

GM

Kendar d'Kundarak seems to take the koblods outburst in stride "It matters not to me how or why you are here. Prisoners I was told you are so prisoners you shall be. Shackle them. We have work to do' He says with a unmoving expression upon his face.

Female Kobold Artificer 2/Druid 2

Synatria closes her eyes and starts muttering a prayer.

Female Shifter Barbarian 1

Lethe's shoulders drop as the guards approach any thoughts of putting up a fight now gone since they now know why she is there. Turning to Synatria Lethe hisses "You better hope they keep us apart traitor or I will rip your scrawny head off."

Synatria is still whispering her prayer and doesn't seem to have heard Lethe.

Also, I wasn't aware she was betraying any plans. She never told them that they had purposefully been captured or anything. But it might seem like it from Lethe's perspective.
Also, I'm preparing the following spells the first chance I get (which may come later):
Know Direction, Stabilize, Purify Food and Drink, Create Water
1st Level: 3 per day (Cure Light Wounds, Calm Animals, Charm Animal, Obscuring Mist

Synatria Silven wrote:

Lethe growls deeply at Synatria even ignoring the guards as they shackle her

Female Kobold Artificer 2/Druid 2

How far below ground are we?

Male Human Wizard 4 (Evoker)

Meanwhile, back at an undisclosed location...

"Synatria said that in four nights they'll be out, and that she'll get out even if she needs to leave her kin behind. I assume she was telling us to come back then. The question is, how do we get back in. Disguise ourselves again and demand to see the prisoners we brought in? Sneak in?"

GM
Synatria Silven wrote:

Well more then a bit, A nature or architect roll would tell you for sure, Dungennering would work as well[/ooc]

Female Kobold Artificer 2/Druid 2

After a few moments, Synatria seems to calm down. She opens her eyes, her breathing slows down, and she looks about disinterestedly, trying to remember what she had learned of underground terrain. Knowledge (nature) 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (11) + 11 = 22

GM

Synatria

Spoiler:
From the time it took and the "feel" of the air as well as the look of the earth you would guess 600 to 800 feet below the earth

Female Kobold Artificer 2/Druid 2

Synatria raises an eyebrow. "Interesting. This mine is very advanced. How long did it take to get so low underground?" she wonders aloud.

Female Shifter Barbarian 1

Lethe just looks at Synatria as if she had spontaneously grown a second head "Have you're wits completely left you?" She asks

Female Kobold Artificer 2/Druid 2
Lethe wrote:

She shrugs. "Tricky question there. But we're eight hundred feet below the surface. Do you realize how far that is without magic? This mine must be very old, much older than I'd expected. I thought this was just a temporary arrangement. Teach me to fall asleep in history class."

Female Shifter Barbarian 1

"......" Lethe continues to stare at Synatria

The gray kobold shrugs again. "I think the answer to your question is 'yes'."

"Sneaking is good, but we need some sort of distraction to divert the guard's attention so we can get them out," she wrote in the dust with the tip of her rapier.

Male Human Wizard 4 (Evoker)

"A distraction? I can handle that. How many blast disks do we have?"

So, I toss a few blast disks into a building a good distance away from the mine then run like hell and put on a different disguise so I don't get killed. Joyelle and Jax then sneak into the mine and break everyone out while the guards are trying to find me, and I'll stay close enough to the mine to help you when you get out.

Also, I think we've lost Memento Mori again.

Male Human Monk 4

Garroth remains silent as Lethe and Synatria bicker. Why did I get stuck with these two? he asks himself. He simply continues to make note of guards, positions, and weaponry.

perception 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17

Ok guys outside, when is this planned?

Garroth

Spoiler:

The head man seems to be very well dressed with a chain shirt and a well made ax, the other four seem to have military grade repeater, with clips chain shirts and axes

If they are following Synatrias advice (which I assume they are) it will be in four nights

Lethe wrote:

Right. Four nights should be plenty for what you all are going to do in there.

GM

4 days it is then. what do you plan to do, so we can keep you guys involved as well?

In the mines

Spoiler:

After you are shackled two of the dwarves puts down their crossbows and searches you. Piling anything not clothing onto the floor. As the group is stripped of any items Kendar d'Kundarak speaks "Keen eye wall rat. The mines are deep indeed, much deeper then 800 feet. House Kundarak has managed this mine for four hundred years and the tunnels stretch many miles in all directions. You will get to know them well." he says after the search is done he says something in the harsh tongue of the dwarf and two of the crossbow men nod down the tunnel and lead the group from 10 feet behind down a set of tunnels. Each well made you cross dozens of tunnels and cart paths, and what must have been near a hundred dwarves before being taken lower still. Soon you find yourself in another set of tunnels : This one a riot with activity, rocks being hauled away by groups of shackled workers of all races, work groups of five and ten removes rock and haul carts and the shortist, uglyist orc you have ever laid eyes on says something to the dwarfs as you enter before dropping into common and speaking to you

"Ah fresh meat for the mines ah, well simple, so ,so simple. You do as your told, you get feed. You do not do as you told , then you do not get feed and som' ol the boys beat on ye for a while. Too much trouble it's the deep pits or the lime pits for ya. We understand each other?" He says with a grin.

Around the room you make out maybe 20 men, armed with cruel looking barbed whips and swords. Some beating on people, one seems to be whipping an unmoving forms as it bleeds onto the dimly lit mine's floor

"Brutal war..." Synatria murmurs. "Yes, I think I understand," she says, louder.

Male Human Monk 4

Garroth simply nods at the orc. This is going to be ... difficult. I hope we can find some folks down here tired of mining, he thinks.

I'm thinking reconnaisance. The valenar base is close right?

GM

lethe

Spoiler:
Looks to be a haggard looking human man.

The orc yells to one of the whip armed men "Skaros, Take these three and put em with haul crew, till we see if they are useful" With that you are lead toward a group of mixed races slaves hauling stone and earth into beaten carts of rusted iron. Skaros tells another slave to unbind your hands and points to the carts "Work or take a beating" He says flexing the whip
