So I was thinking about prepping the minis needed to run RotR AP, and wanted to know who all has already ran it using minis and what specific minis they recommend. I use almost exclusively WotC minis, as I have no skill in painting and can easily get what I need from ebay (and have a decent collection as is).

Lots of Goblins. Lots and Lots of Goblins. Then, Lots of Ghouls. The hulking gravetouched ghoul mini would work for sinspawn, too. Individual minis for Tsuto (any monk or rogue type will do), Burthazmus (any bugbear or orc, the one with the mace and shield), Lyrie (any female caster-type, prefferably the black War Wizard), Nualia (any female clericy type), Orik (any sword-and-board fighter), Three Shadows, And Advanced Barghest (large), a Darkmantle for the Tentamort, A few Hyena minis for the Goblin Dogs and Yeth Hounds, Random Mooks to represent townsfolk, A Giant Enemy Crab.
Later, as I said, you will need Ghouls, and lots of those red KKK guys with knives, and a Marilith.
After that, you need every ogre and giant you can possibly find

I just got my hands on 15 Half-Ogre Barbarians to use for the Kreeg Ogres in Hook Mountain Massacre. They're not quite accurate, but they're the right size and a decent looking mini. I may try to get my hands on some Skullcrusher Ogres for the leader types, but I'm not sure yet.
I lucked out and already had a Greater Barghest and Vargouille for Burnt Offerings, and I've been using the Gravetouched Ghouls for my Sinspawn. I'm one Hyena shy of having stand-ins for the three Yeth Hounds, but I have a timber wolf if all else fails. :)

I'd advise to be careful buying up too many minis for one specific campaign too far in advance. I got all the ones I'd need to Burnt Offerings, including the Pathfinder specific metal minis from Crocodile Games (which I then got paint for and painted), only to find that my players all ditched me before they even left Sandpoint. So now I've got lots of great minis, but I'd rather have the money and time I spent prepping them to put toward other things.

Not too worried about players ditching, as most of mine are family who I've played D&D with for nearly 10+ years. Sad that a huge portion of my groups are cousins and aunts and uncles and sister and my fiancee but its alot of fun :P
As for the listed minis, I have most of those except a giant crab, which was addressed in the Savage tide forum. Also no marilith which Id love to have but there too expensive. Now if Reaper would just release there legendary encounter one...

Hey y'all:
I just finished Burnt Offerings, and here are the minis that I used.
For Nualia, I used Storm Silverhand.
For the Sinspawn, I found that the Carnage Demon worked pretty well.
For the Goblin Druid, I used the Blue miniature from Giants of Legend.
For Orik Vacaskerkin, I used good old Regdar
For Lyrie I'm pretty sure I used the Earth Shugenga
Shadowmist was easy using the Warhorse.
Malfeshnekor was also easy using the Greater Barghest miniature.
That's all I can think of off the top of my head. Let me know if you have any that you are having trouble with!
