And did Dragon ever cover the foxwoman from 1st and 2nd edition D&D? She was one of my favorite monsters -- and was the foxwoman ever adapted for 3.5 by any writer? I remember they mentioned the foxwoman 'goddess' and her Abyssal realm, Eshebala and Vulgaria, in the back of the Hordes of the Abyss book, which surprised me.

Not to the best of my knowledge, but using the 3.5e lycanthrope rules -- with a female elf beguiler (or maybe enchanter or psionic thrall herd) as the humanoid form -- seems like a good starting point.

Night Hag #324, Green Hag #331, Annis #345. The sea hag was on the schedule for the #340s, but... yeah. The foxwoman never had an ecology, but make some noise to Kobold Quarterly and you never know what might turn up!
And as for Hordes of the Abyss, yeah, turns out the writers were pretty damn thorough.

And I liked what I read about the Night Hag and Annis; though I thought that at one point in time in D&D the idea was that 'mortal' hags were descended from the night hags?

I think we'd need a actual template/write-up for the critter before we could get the Ecology article out of it, but thanks for the recommendation. Hmm, I hope KQ gives out submissions.
The d20 supplement "Jade Dragons and Hungry Ghosts: Monsters from the East" (published by Green Ronin) has an entry covering the kitsune/fox woman, on p. 23. It is part of the 3.0 system.
In addition, "Ravenloft Gazetteer, vol. 1", which covers Barovia, Hazlan, Forlorn, and Kartakass, also has a werefox/vixen template on p. 120. That supplement is published by Sword & Sorcery/Arthause (part of White Wolf, I believe), and it is also part of the 3.0 system.
I think that both supplements are technically out of print, but they may still be available some places.
I missed this before. I'd sure like to see more treatment of the foxwoman--so many great stories in Asian folklore. And as fey, not as a lycanthrope.
