I have both the Villains and Doom Striders books.

Grand Lodge

Why am I not surprised? :) What about the Sovereign Stone stuff?

TriOmegaZero wrote:

I do not think that I have them. However, if silverhair wants them, then he can have them.

Grand Lodge

I got every one published, so if anyone wants them let me know.

If silverhair does not want them, then I will take them.

Just how many Sovereign Stone books are you talking about? I am sorry I( missed last week. I am still interested in the FR stuff. I just might have to wait til the start of next month to pay for them. So with that in mind if someone else wants them and can pay for them immediately, please sell them.

Grand Lodge

Every one of these.

And Derek is holding the FR books for you. You might check with him. I'm not charging anything for these, just glad to clear space from my bookshelf.

Interesting. No, I do not have any of them. However, if you want them silverhair, you can have them. ~glances at my "small" RPG game collection~ I doubt I would get to them anytime soon.

Grand Lodge

HELP! They're saying mean things about us! On the internet! XD

OK, then I'll take them. They are the ones that Gygax worked on aren't they. Doesn't really matter. I have seen them before and was interested in seeing what they were about just didn't feel like committing the money.

Grand Lodge

So I skimmed the Adventurer's Armory pdf and didn't see much that interested me. Anyone not bought the hardcopy and want it?

I think Jess might be interested.

Not I -- the preview sort of left me cold.

Grand Lodge

Consider your feelings from the preview justified. I figure the PDF will serve me fine, and if there is someone that wants it but would rather not pay, I can give them the hardcopy when it arrives here.

Also, Cyz and I will be there about the usual time.

Awesome! See you then. Apologies in advance, btw -- I didn't get the chance to shop for more fancy root beer this weekend. We've still got the usual other choices, though.

Sovereign Court

I am pretty much required to have it as I plan to DM Pathfinder, and I feel I should have the book as many players will have it.

I asked the people at Asgard to purchase me a copy - so even though it'd be nice to get ahold of it through you, I feel required to purchase my copy from them - I don't want them to be out cash for doing me a favor!

Thanks, though!

So out of curiosity...

Jazeed picks up and examines the crystal objects the goalie was throwing on the field.

"Look! I'm a wizard too!"

::wiggles fingers oddly, then throws a metal cube on the ground.

"Dirt!"

Jazeed Fyqar bin Moht. al-Sayed wrote:

They're surprisingly hard, and appear to have been shaped into flat wedges, like oversized crystalline skipping-stones. The leading edge of each is quite sharp, like an obsidian knife. Jazeed is no expert at weaponry, but guesses that the level of skill required to throw one and actually kill someone with it is probably not worth the effort... on the other hand, for someone who knew how to throw them, they'd be better than hurled daggers or shuriken, and smaller and easier to carry than javelins.

Sovereign Court

You're going to make me greedy, with all this Trog loot. :)

I guess she DOES kinda deserve the cube for being the one brave enough to face the "Or you'll be sorry" alone, though.

Remember that magic works differently inside the unicorn's castle than it does back in the "real world," especially magic involving size. Will her new toy still be a magic tower there? Or just a shiny cube?

Of course, as Stephen King wrote, "The Tower is the nexus of Size."

Bah, who cares. It's a fun toy. Trog lives in the moment...and this moment is fun.

...

I noticed it was easeir to play Trog while sleep deprived. :D

Edit: The crystal thingies require an exotic weapon proficiency to use to full effectiveness?

Jess Door wrote:

Yes, exactly -- or a talent that gives you proficiency with all exotic weapons. Or DM fiat, I suppose.

TOZ, thank you for the books.

Sent proposal for Leadership -- well, actually, sent a misprint and immediately sent a correction. The idea, as we talked about before, was to give a bit of flexibility in assigning levels to followers -- and to allow your ranger or druid to have a pack of wolves or whatever, if you want.

Grand Lodge

Heh, my idea of balancing it is banning it. :) But I can see how some people might want to use it.

Whenever one of our PC's dies, has anyone thought of trying Ranger/Sorcerer? For some reason I was dreaming about that particular I was dreaming of that particular multiclass last night. The final range I was thinking about was Ranger 4/ Sorcerer 7 or vice versa.

Kirth, how do we want to handle Jazeed's spells, now that he's going from the old cloistered cleric to the new archivist with a prayerbook?

Andostre wrote:

You'd get the normal number as listed... if that isn't enough to cover the spells you use regularly (summon monster I, etc.) then add enough other ones to make up the difference? Other than that, whether you pray or study a prayer book doesn't make a lot of mechanical difference unless the DM is a dick and has someone steal your book.

Sorry, my question wasn't clear, even though you answered it. I should have asked how many spells beyond the base prayerbook spells would Jazeed have received over the course of his adventures? But you answered above, and I'll try to be judicious about it.

And Summon Monster I is gone. That was a Favored Soul spell. Norgorber must be punishing Jazeed for not doing something right. Jazeed will have to try harder. Please don't give Jazeed any more nightmares! Jazeed is sorry!

Grand Lodge

Falandar really needs to be more discerning about his traveling companions....

Tell me about it, Falander.

Andostre wrote:

It should still be in your prayer book, though -- the idea of fiendish centipedes chewing on your enemies is just too fun to abandon without better cause than a mere change in class.

How does the Coke Zero / Coke Zero Vanilla situation stand?

Jess Door wrote:

Checked on it last night -- here's the beverage summary:

  • We've got plenty of vanilla coke zero in the 'fridge, with more where that came from.
  • I've also got a couple of bottles of Virgil's root beer, reserved for our out-of-town guests (and probably one left over after that, houstonderek, if you want to call dibs on it).
  • There's also some green tea ginger ale in the 'fridge as well, that's fair game (as long as you save me one of them).
  • Plenty of beer -- the leftover Red Stripe that Andostre brought last week, a few others.
  • There's only one (1) can of Dr. Pepper left, however, so, Derek or Silverhair, if one of you guys wanted to pick up some more of that (or whatever else you want to drink) on the way over...

  • I would pick up some DP but unfortunately my finances are somewhat expired at present. Sorry.

Derek sent me a text saying he will pick up a 12 pack of DP. He is at work.

Update: Working on the Inquisitor class, trying to tie in various 3.5 PrCs (the Church Inquisitor, the Holy Exorcist, the Shadowbane Inquisitor, the Magic-Eater, etc.). What a fun class!

Looks like I'm out on Monday, folks. Family business.

Hope everything's OK. We'll miss you.

P.S. I'll try not to let Cadogan kill off Agun while you're gone.

Yeah, everything's fine. I just have to make something a higher priority Monday night.

    That would be nice!

Cyz and I are still good to go for Monday as well, and will bring more carrots as well. Trying to eat healthier at gaming now that we're doing it so often. Really looking forward to my SCAP game tomorrow. Major dungeon crawl with some excellent villians. >:)

Wait, I get half my level to damage with my chain? I must have been taking it easy on all those mooks before!

Is that some new item that I forgot about or didn't know about? Does it apply to all weapons or just Spiked Chain?

Trying to stay ahead with GM'ing it is sometimes difficult to recall what the rules are in a game I am playing in.

    Grand Lodge

Last line of the Unarmed Strike entry on the Monk.

Thanks TOZ. I didn't want Rim or Virac to miss out on anything that might help them hit more.

Kirth, I just printed out the Cleric and Druid updates. While looking over the Domains it looks like there was a "nerf" applied to the Air Domain power. Am I wrong in my assumption?

You're 180 degrees wrong, if you prepare the 2nd level Air domain spell and hold off casting it for a while. If not, then you're right.

Instead of 1d6 + 1/2 level, useable a limited number of times per day, it's now basically 1d6/2 levels, usable at will as long as you have your highest-level Air domain spell prepared and unused. At 4th level, you're doing 2d6 instead of 1d6+1. At 9th level, you'll be doing 5d6 (average 17.5) instead of 1d6+4 (average 7.5). At 17th level, you'll be doing 9d6 (average 31.5) instead of 1d6+8 (average 11.5). And you'll potentially be doing it more often. That's hardly a "nerf"!

    I stand corrected.
