Are we supposed to make our own characters, or we will use Pre-Gens for Year 0?
If we make our own, do we use Pathfinder Alpha 3? Or 3.5?
If we make our own, what is the point buy limit, etc?
Thanks
All will be revealed in the Player's Guide, coming August 1st! However, you will be able to make your own characters, and it will use standard D&D 3.5 rules for year 0, then it will switch to Pathfinder RPG next year at GenCon when it is released. The last question, you'll have to wait for the Player's Guide.

Thanks Brent. That's really helpful to know.
I'm DM'ing the Pathfinder Society at GenCon UK and really looking forward to it. In fact if it wasn't for the Pathfinder 3.5 event I would probably skip GenConUK for the first time since it started. But I have some more questions.
I wonder how you plan to get players into the game/campaign -- fast! Many of them won't know enough about the background world to create a character in an informed way. Many won't have a character organised for the event.
So, will you have a quick-start crib sheet describing the background world, religions and races? Will you have a selection of pregen characters so that a player can sit right down and play and not miss their game?
You were very coy about the points buy system but that's a very basic and very important question for all concerned. Surely it will be 32 points?
If some of this information were posted on the GenCon UK website for Pathfinder Society then the games would get off to a faster, smoother start.

Oh. One more thing ... when can we get hold of the modules for prepping?
