Am I the only person on the boards who, when they see Flash post, hear in their minds, "Flash--ah-ah!"? Please someone tell me no.
I like that movie (Flash Gordon) and I love that song. It is often the first thing anyone said when they met (or sometimes meet when I still catch up with them) me through my (old) work friends. So you're not the first to have that thought. ;)
It's not where the nickname comes from though and I get quite annoyed (irrationally so I fear) when people don't know who The Flash is after I tell them that's where the nickname comes from.
I thought it was due to your habit of exposing yourself?

<G> Oh, I’ll bet. ;) He couldn’t have asked for something nice and ‘big 80’s’ monotone like Melt With You or Hold Me Now. No… he asks for something by a four octave singer.

As we just turned a page, the recently posted show notes were left in the dust so I'm reposting them for easy perusal...
It was long ago foretold that the 17th episode of Atomic Array would come (<- behold the hyperlink!), and that Aeryn Rudel and Harley Stroh would come on the show to talk about the Master Dungeons adventure series from Goodman Games.
In January, Ed got a chance to watch Harley run M2: Curse of the Kingspire at Dungeons & Dragons Experience. It looked so good, that we had to invite him on to the Array. We asked Aeryn to tag along to talk about the line as a whole.
Harley made this insane on-the-spot request for me to sing Maiden. After a few surprised throat clearings on my part I gave Hallowed Be Thy Name a shot. Thank you ‘reverb’ button.

Holy jesus s&%*, Rone, you weren't kidding when you said that your name was an anagram of "born a tenor" (which it is). That's some Iron Maiden!
Thanks, Shiny! I used to play bass and sing that one and Run to the Hills in my first garage band. How garage? Before our drummer Tommy Pertis could afford a drum set we'd practice with him beating away on cardboard boxes with drumsticks. Tom wound up being a truly brilliant musician.
I can't believe I called Paul Di'Anno Phil Di'Anno on the 'cast... eh, ya win some, ya lose some.

I was wondering about that... I couldn't decide if you meant Paul Di'Anno or Phil Anselmo. Then again, my brain wasn't working yesterday, so...
...actually, it isn't working today, either. In any case, you're welcome.

Bah. I was so wrapped up in the moment I didnt even notice the slip Jade...and thats coming from a MAIDEN junkie. You got the chops...now can ya pull off that screams from "Gangland"?
Totally agree with the 'conversational-ism' of the interviews. You guys are really finding your groove. The show is aces, see? People should be coming to you to get 'THE' interview (kinda like Charlie Rose or maybe the Daily Show).

Your show keeps getting better and better. I like that your interviewing style is becoming more "conversational". Keep up the great work!
Thanks, taig! I treasure feedback. As we've developed a name in the industry, our guests have had to put up with us making things a little more personal, which allows for guest ribbing and an occasional slide off into something amusing and off topic. That said, there is a line beyond which lies only self indulgence and the show really is about the games we dig or are extremely curious about.
Well that and giving free stuff away.

You guys need to make this show a weekly thing so I can get a new AA fix more often!
I finally figured out that I could put the Episodes onto CDs and have been listening to them over and over and over and over and... in the car as I'm out on the road working. Well all except the Paizo one which I still haven't listened to yet... it is 6 or so minutes too long to fit onto a CD. As much as I'd love them to go for hours, please try and keep them under 80 minutes. Pretty Please. I've already listened to the whole run at least twice each (even 17) and some I'm up to 3 times, all since 16 came out.
Look at me, I'm gushing! ;)-

Oh but the Paizo one kicks ass until said ass looks like a sneaker-shaped mold!
Wow, Flash. Thanks! The fact that people enjoy and see improvement in the show, which only debuted July 4th, 2008 (we're very much in our infancy), stuns me and warms my cockles. A whole lot of cockle warming going on here. Anyone Paizo posters want to star in my latest film Cockle Warmers 7: Heartened in the Heartland? Lots of misty eyed smiling and patting of one's own chest set to a smooth funk bass line. Oh, and everyone has to hold an ear of corn folksily. That's a given.
We don't try to go long on time. Originally Ed said he wanted every episode between 30 and 40 minutes (Small wonder that episode 17 came it around 32 minutes), but things never seem to go according to plan with Atomic Array, in particular. Some episodes demand more breathing room and I let them have it rather than edit them down. The show is kind of an out of control beast, storming through the streets of 1930's Manhattan, climbing skyscrapers with fair damsels in hand. The downside of that approach is the occasional bungeeing without a cord. Ouch.

Oh that we are my friend. I don't quite match you (I have a double garage full of stuff, plus a wall in our storage shed over at our rental property). I keep wanting to organize everything because at the moment there is a thin passageway threading its way theough the middle of the garage, making small detours to key locations. I'm like you though. It's a big job though and even though it's a total mess I pretty much know where everything is.
Are you serious about my voice!?! Man I've heard myself in recordings and I sound like a girl. :(
Yeah that was disheartening not winning. If only I hadn't stuffed up the first time I tried to enter it would have been me 'cause I woulda been the only entry in. That poor guy definately deserves it though.

Oh yes, I was absolutely serious about your voice. You and Shiny have the kind of unique qualities that, IMO, people would like to hear on radio. When we get a guest on AA who I think has a compelling speaking voice, I always pass on the compliment.
Worry not about the passing contest. There will be hundreds more for the snagging! >:)

He shows off each room using Dwarven Forge terrain and uses Reaper Minis to show off some of the critters within.
We also spoke with Jason Bulmahn, from Paizo Publishing. Jason heads up the development of the Pathfinder RPG for Paizo, and will be guest blogging at Dungeon A Day - showing subscribers how to port Monte’s work into their Pathfinder game. And is it true?
