If I can make a melee attack vs the Rat's?
Viper's Strike vs the Rat's Viper's Strike (1d20+6=7, 1d6+3=4)
[/ooc]
The rats are 10' down, so no, sorry.

Moving quickly to the edge of the pit Gran pulls out his rope, and lowers it down to Frivry. "Come on, hurry!"
Move top L6 and drop my rope.
Gran moves before Frivry, so Frivry has the option of trying to climb the rope on his turn.
Frivry:

Rhiannis |

Rhiannis moves forward and a bit to his right to hide behind a column. Then he focuses upon the spearwielding Goblin and mutters some words under his breath and points forward with his right hand.
Move to J6, gaining concealment via "shadow step".
Warlock's curse on g1.
Eldritch Blast on g1.
Attack roll;damage (1d20 3=12, 1d10 3 1d6=15)
Typical. I roll better for damage than for the attack. Another one for the lower half - 5 low/0 high for this fight. 19/8 in total.

Frivry |

Move action: Stand up
Second move action: grab the rope and try to go up.
Athletics roll (1d20+1=16)

![]() |

Frivry escapes the pit with Gran's aid, and the rats are unable to attack him again, though he is still bleeding from dozens of bites.
Frivry:
The goblin warrior thrusts his spear at a vulnerable spot on Silo's armor (-8hp), then shifts back around the corner. The second goblin warrior down the eastern hall hucks a javelin, again hitting Dyrnwyn (-4hp). The crossbow-wielding goblins both attack Gran, one hitting (-6hp).
Dyrnwyn, Rhiannis, Gran, Silo, Frivry

Silo Mezzo |

I'm going to wait till at least Gran has posted his actions before posting to see if it opens up something with Commanders Strike or Viper's Strike. With things like they are right now I only see moving and attacking g1 as my only real option and I don't want to commit to that just yet.

Rhiannis |

Rhiannis moves behind the others to the next cover behind a column and works his cursing magic on the goblin Gran had already attacked. Then he calls down the magic given to him via his connection to the Feywild and a globe of eldritch force streaks towards the second attacker.
Move to M6 (gaining concealment via Shadow Step + cover from the column)
Warlock's Curse on g2
Eldritch Blast on g2 (+1 to attack from Prime Target, if Rhiannis attacks before Gran).
Eldirtch Blast; damage (1d20+3=14 or 15 depending on the ini sequence, 1d10+3+1d6=10)

Dyrnwyn |

Revived and anxious, Dyrnwyn moves between the pillars to target the crossbow wielding goblins.
A blast of verdant acid explodes from the wizard's hands and streaks toward the attackers.
Move to L9, target g4, Acid Arrow 1d20+4=13, Damage2d8+4=18,
Secondary target g31d20+4=14, Damage 1d8+4=8
Details for convenience:Hit: 2d8 + Intelligence modifier acid damage, and ongoing 5 acid damage (save ends). Make a secondary attack.
Secondary Target: Each creature adjacent to the primary target
Secondary Attack: Intelligence vs. Reflex
Hit: 1d8 + Intelligence modifier acid damage, and ongoing 5 acid damage (save ends).
Miss: Half damage, and ongoing 2 acid damage to primary target (save ends), and no secondary attack.

Frivry |

Move to: P-7
I use my Sly Flourish with a short sword :Attack roll, damage (1d20+6=18, 1d6+7=8)

The goblin sharpshooters dodge Dyrnwyn's acid, but one of them (g4) is still splashed by it and, judging by the howls, it's quite painful.
The goblin coming along the hall screams in pain as he is injured, challenged, enfeebled, and cursed (bloodied). Meanwhile, Silo has less luck with his target, who dances back as the warlord misses.
The first warrior throws his last javelin at Silo, missing, readies his spear, and backs down the hall toward the sharpshooters. The second warrior shifts out of reach of Frivry and Gran, then flees down the hall and around the corner whence he came.
The sharpshooters concentrate their fire on Silo, who falls under the barrage (-19hp, including one crit).
Dyrnwyn, Rhiannis, Gran, Silo, Frivry. If Silo receives no healing or stabilization by his turn, he makes a death save.

Death Save (1d20=1)
Good lord that roll sucked. Anyways theres the death save I'll change my action if anything happens that would let me.

Rhiannis |

![]() |

Dyrnwyn invokes a column of flame over the clustered goblins, singing two of them. Dyrnwyn scorching burst vs. g1,g3,g4 (1d20 4=17, 1d20 4=18, 1d20 4=10, 1d6 4=5)
Rhiannis rounds the corner where the wounded goblin had fled and sees a heavy curtain across the corridor. If you want to take a second move action, passing through the curtain is one square of difficult terrain.
Gran moves to Silo's side and invokes the Raven Queen's power, healing the warlord, who crawls out of the line of sight.
Now need an update from Rhiannis and Frivry's move

Sorry, Unable to get a post in this weekend. Had trouble htting boards, gave up, and then it all just slipped away from me. Thanks for the NPCing Dyrnwyn! BTW, how'd you get the crown icon on your avatar, Pat?
You're just in time -- I'd meant to move Dyrnwyn out of the line of fire after his attack, but forgot. Now's your chance. And isn't it a pretty crown?

Rhiannis |

"§$%&" Rhiannis exclaims as he sees the curtain blocking the view to his intended target. No sense storming into an ambush. Rhiannis comes back to the others and does not attack this round.
Move back to M10
EDIT: Argh.. This so totally a case of parallel typing...
EDIT II: If it is feasable, Rhiannis will wait for Friwry to open the curtain a bit. If he is able to see a goblin, the attack still stands as written from the previous post. If it is a new goblin, he will get cursed previously.

![]() |

Frivry pokes at the curtain with no effect, while Rhiannis moves back to the central room.
The remaining goblin warrior yells out in Common, "Stupid big-folk! Can't catch goblins!" and disappears from view to the east. A door can be heard opening.
The sharpshooters attack the only enemy in sight, Gran, both hitting (-20hp) and then also duck east. A door slams.
Dyrnwyn, Rhiannis, Gran, Silo, Frivry

"If the rats decide to come out of that pit we will have enemies on 3 sides we should concentrate on taking them them out and then go after the goblins." Says Silo while pulling out his crossbow.
Minor Sheath longsword
Standard Action put away shield
Minor action draw crossbow.
Still prone.

Dyrnwyn |

"The rats?" Dyrnwyn replies absently as he frets over the disappearance of the goblins. "Well, let us see what we can do about the vermin ..."
Stepping to the edge of the pit-trap, the wizard motions quickly with his hands as a wave of fire washes into the depths.
Pat, can I do this? While I realize the blast radius is different, I am wondering whether the pit can contain/funnel the flame. Let me know and I will shift to Magic Missile or ask for a flask of oil from the company. Cheers!
Dyrnwryn moves to k8, casts Burning Hands, target, rats, Attack 1d20+4=1d20 4=19, Damage 2d6+4=11

Update: Dyrnwyn post. Wizard casts Scorching Burst in pit.

I just saw Rhiannis's Edit II. Will try to patch up as best as I can.
Previous round:
- Dyrnwyn used scorching burst on clustered goblins
- Rhiannis moved, saw the curtain, and readied an attack
- Gran moved and healed Silo
- Silo healed himself and crawled out of the way
- Frivry moved the curtain, revealing the badly injured goblin (g2)
- Rhiannis's readied attack killed the goblin
- Rhiannis gets a teleport
- Goblins attacked and ran
This round:
- Dyrnwyn used scorching burst on rat swarm Please roll damage
- Gran moved and healed himself
- Silo readied crossbow
- Frivry moved, but still had a standard or move left, and can revise if he wishes in light of the retcon
- Rhiannis's turn
Then the goblins . . .
