Liberty's Edge

Once again Sarastal checks for any magical auras finding none in this room all the while Yselle checks both doors. The unmarked one is all quiet but locked which proves no problem for Yselle. Checking the other door however she is not to sure if this is trapped or not. On the other side of the room Theruska stands ready by the unmarked door waiting for the others thinking this is where they need to go. As Yselle's head is close the whole door bows in as something on the otherside just crashed into it real hard. The door does not break but she can see the hinges will not take to much more to fail......

With a yelping scream Yselle falls on her slim buttocks and frantically crawls away.

Dwarf Fighter 3

Baern moves forward and braces himself against the door. "Rest of you take a look at the other rooms, I'll try to hold them off."

I assume it would be a Strength check to keep the door up? 1d20+3=18

"What the --" Sarastal quickly casts Mage Armor, just to be on the safe side.

Male Human (Chelaxian) Urban Ranger 3

Init just in case: 1d20+3=20

Inros raises his sword, ready to attack anything that comes through that door.

Male Human Cleric 2 / Fighter 1

"I say let it out, and let's deal with it", Thelix exclaims his voice breaking in excitement, and his sword waving dangerously about.

Initiative (1d20=5)

Liberty's Edge

The door slams again but does not bow in as much with the added support of Baern who jumped into position right after Yselle yelps and falls on her butt. She quickly crawls out of the way as the others discuss what is the best plan and ready weapons, Sarastal shimmers for a second getting ready just in case they decide to fight.....

Spoiler:
Roll inits just in case a battle breaks out here. Whatever is on the other side of the door might not get through.....

Yselle cannot stop shaking from fright. Eventually she summons enough courage to at least draw her sword.

Init 1d20+3=4

Init: 1d20+2=10

By the way, did Sarastal pick up any magical auras before the door started caving in?

Dwarf Fighter 3

IC down, rolling dice an unrecorded way. Initiative: 1d20+1=17

Liberty's Edge

The group stands looking at each other deciding if they want to fight whats on the other side of the door or go through the other door hoping its Devargo's chamber containing the much sought after papers. The discission is made for you though as the door bursts in sending the dwarf flying to the ground with the door on top of him. Standing in the door is a creature resembling a cross between a gangly human and a bloated spider. Its long slender arms and legs protruding from a rounded fleshy body. It has a spider's head with a pair of bulbous black eyes peering at you.....

State your actions and roll attacks! You are in a 15 by 15 foot room, the monster is in the middle bottom square.

Seeing the monstrosity before her, Yselle lets her sword clatter onto the floor. She takes out a dagger and throws it at the spider-horror with grunt of disgust.

Init 1d20+3=8

Attack 1d20+3=19

Damage 1d4=2

Male Human Cleric 2 / Fighter 1

"Die from the might of the Lord of Iron, Thelix screams swinging his might sword in a great arc".

Initiative (1d20=19)

Greatsword Attack (1d20+3=19)

Greatsword Damage (2d6+3=11)

Sarastal tries to burn the creature with a splash of acid, but she just ends up searing the wall.

1d20+3=8

Male Human (Chelaxian) Urban Ranger 3

Inros swings steel at the monstrosity: 1d20+3=11

doubt that hit, but just in case 1d8+1=4

Dwarf Fighter 3

Baern stands back up and readies his axe, prepared to strike back at the thing.

Standing back up and drawing my axe should take up this turn.

Male Human Cleric 2 / Fighter 1

Hello! Hello! anybody here?

Liberty's Edge

Spoiler:
Been a real crappy week for me being sick and still having to work! Haven't even turned on my laptop for the past few days! I will catch up the game tonight after I get off work but wanted to let everyone know the game is still going!

Hope you feel better soon! Being sick sucks.

Male Human Cleric 2 / Fighter 1

Being sick is no fun. If Thelix were higher level he would cast "Cure Disease" on you.

Liberty's Edge

Spoiler:
Init Order: Inros, Thelix, Baern, Monster, Yselle, Sarastal and Theruska! FYI-If you did not heard or seen yet, Paizo added a dice roller in the BB code tags so we don't need to use IC anymore! Its just like the other tags, [ dice ]the dice here like 1d20+4[ /dice ]! If you want to test it out first do so in the discussion thread please!

The monsterous spider looking creature moves into the room to engage the intruders of its bosses domain. Swinging his steel Inros attacks the monster first but his blade fails to find the spider creature. Following Inros's example Thelix attacks with his greatsword, his blade biting deep into the monsters flesh drawing an unknown fluid flowing from its body from the wound. Under the door the dwarf grunts as he pushes the door off him and pushes himself off the floor axe in hand ready to help deal with this new threat. The creature swings one of its mighty claws at Inros hoping to push back the two attacking it so it can deal with only one at a time, its claw just barely scratches Inros though(1 hp damage). From behind the two warriors Yselle drops her blade in favor of a weapon easier to fight with in these small quarters, drawing her dagger she flings it at the creature sinking it into the creatures side causing it to flinch, it chitters in its own language which no one in the room understands but the same sounds can be heard coming from the room it just entered through. Off to the side Sarastal tries to throw acid at the thing but only ends up hitting the wall next to her causing the wood to turn black. Theruska on the other side of the room debates wether to attack or retrieve the information they seek while the others take care of the monster they are engaged with. Majenko decides to stay out of the way of the warriors and watches the doorway to the other room knowing full well more spiders are on the way, boy does he hate spiders!

Spoiler:
Thanks for your patience with the game and myself! Feeling much better now! Next round, state your actions and roll some dice!

Yselle pulls out her other dagger, the silver one from Vancaskerkin's loot, and throws at the spider again.

Attack 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
Damage 1d4 ⇒ 3

Male Human Cleric 2 / Fighter 1

Thelix, puffing with exertion, swings his gore covered sword at the vile creature again.

1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
2d6 + 3 ⇒ (5, 6) + 3 = 14

Sarastal attempts her acid splash again. "Kill it, Thelix, kill it!"

1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 101d3 ⇒ 3

Dwarf Fighter 3

Baern brings his axe down onto the monster.

Just a standard attack. 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 111d10 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

Male Human (Chelaxian) Urban Ranger 3

Inros tries to ignore his own injury and swings again:

1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16

and damage if needed:

1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8

Liberty's Edge

Ignoring his own injury Inros swings his blade at the giant spider monster and connects slashing the monster belly wide open which begins oozing out a black ichor. Thelix tries to follow up with his blade but the tired cleric misses as he tries to catch his breath as Sarastal behind him yells for him to kill it, kill it. Baern bring his axe to bare, his muscles tight as he brings his axe down on the creature but ends up hitting the ground where the monster was a moment ago as it reels from Inros's attack. It seems pissed now and brings itself to full height and bringing its full arsenal against these hated foes of Devargo. Two razor sharp claws streak out at Inros, one glances off his armour and the other finds a spot not protected opening up another wound on the ranger(3 hps dam). The giant maw of the creature opens up to bite Thelix, its dripping fangs sink into Thelix's arm drawing blood and leaving a black substance on the wound bringing more pain as it seeps into it.(4 hps dam plus make a fort save vs. black substance). Another dagger flies into the mix this one though silver in nature and sails onward into the wall behind the fight missing everyone and thing. Next to the dagger smashes a vial of liquid turning the wall around it black as the glass fragments fall to the floor. Just as the glass shatters against the wall a enormous ogre spiders enters the room making its way into the battle having heard the call of its master......

Spoiler:
Next round! State actions and roll dice! Inros 3 hps dam and Thelix 4 hps dam plus make fort save vs poison!

Dwarf Fighter 3

Baern once again attempts to bury his axe in the original spider-thing.

I'll 5-foot step into a flanking position if that's possible. 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 171d10 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Sarastal shrieks and sends a ray of debilitating negative energy at the huge spider that just entered.

ray of enfeeblement

1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 221d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Male Human (Chelaxian) Urban Ranger 3

Seeing red from his anger and his own blood, Inros swings at the spider that injured him twice now:

1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

damage if needed 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9

with the new dice roller, does anyone know if there is a way to see results? does preview work, or will it roll the dice again when the post is submitted?

Male Human (Chelaxian) Urban Ranger 3

i did preview that last post, and the dice stayed the same from preview to post

Male Human Cleric 2 / Fighter 1

Thelix stares in horror at the twin puncture wounds, just before the pain hits. With a quick, silent prayer to Gorum, he grimaces in concentration, and tries to end the foul beast's life...He'll worry about whatever new monstrosity has arrived after Gorum leads him to dispatch this one.

Fortitude Save (1d20+6=14)

Greatsword Attack (1d20+3=14) If possible Thelix would try to flank the beast before the attack, making the to hit roll a 16

Greatsword Damage (2d6+3=6)

Yselle pulls out her crossbow and aims. Not wanting to hit anyone by accident, she shoots at the menacing newcomer.

Attack 2nd spider 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Damage 1d8 ⇒ 1

Yselle's attack bonus should be +4 (+1 BAB, +3 Dex), not +3.

Oops, thanks!

Liberty's Edge

The battle with the big spider looking creature continues as Inros swings his sword in anger at the wounds he has recieved from it. His anger does not fuel his accuracy though as his sword misses the creature opening himself up to another attack from the creature. Seeing the twin puncture wounds Thelix is hit by a wave a fear and then he feels the spider creature's poison start to seep further into him. He still somehow lifts up his greatsword again as he steps off to the side of the creature, more a stagger as the poison begins to take effect. His sword some how finds the creatures flesh drawing more ichor from the new wound dropping it to one leg as it tries to stay standing but Baern's axe scores the finishing blow ending the creatures tortured life. Yselle pulls out her crossbow and fires off a shot at the huge monstrous spider that just entered the room however the shot sails by the spider and into the darkness of the other room. Out of Sarastal's hand emits a vivid flashes of like that hit the huge spider halting it in its tracks as if its strength just vanished for a moment....

Spoiler:
Next round, state actions and roll them dice! Thelix take one point of dex damage from the poison and roll another fort save! I have not had the time to mess with the die roller yet but I am glad you guys are figuring it out!

Sarastal tosses another acid orb at the wounded spider-man.

1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 191d3 ⇒ 1

Male Human Cleric 2 / Fighter 1

Fortitude Save (1d20+6=13)

Thelix starts towards the new enemy, stumbling as his feet don't seem to be working right.

If he can reach the new enemy he will attack again.

Greatsword Attack (1d20+3=19)

Greatsword Damage (2d6+3=14)

"How could I miss such a big target?" Yselle scolds herself. She then fires at the great spider again.

Attack 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
Damage 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Dwarf Fighter 3

Baern approaches the new spider and attempts to slash into it.

Moving to it, then a basic attack. You get the idea. 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 81d10 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11

Male Human (Chelaxian) Urban Ranger 3

While Inros would be more comfortable with his bow, he decides he is better to just keep fighting and not take the time to change weapons.

Once again, he swings at the spider but gets nothing but air:

1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10

Liberty's Edge

Inros moves in with his sword held high bringing it down on the huge spider but the blade finds only wood of the ships deck. Beside him Thelix stumbles to attack the newest threat, his greatsword crashes into the spider splitting it in half spraying spider gore in every direction. Thelix goes to one knee as the spider venom takes further hold of him as it starts to course into his blood stream. Seeing the spider is dead like its master the others hold their attacks. Everyone is tense after the fight, breathing heavily and just tired off all this mess they got themselves into some how. The steady rocking of the ship is the only sound heard over the deep breathing from the group. Thelix looks to be turning to a pale white color before your eyes as blood mixed with spider ichor flow from his wound......

Spoiler:
State your actions! Thelix take another 1 point of dex damage and roll a fort save vs poison!

"Quick, let's barricade that door, lest any more spiders come through! Majenko -- where does that door lead?"

Male Human (Chelaxian) Urban Ranger 3

Inros kneels next to Thelix and can see the venom coursing through his veins. He takes an arrow from his quiver and uses the point to cut across the vein to try to get the poison out of Thelix.

Heal skill used to treat poison: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14

that will be close...hopefully it helps Thelix

Male Human Cleric 2 / Fighter 1

Thelix, ignoring both his bumbling, fumbling ways, and the sharp nick as Inos attempts to help him defeat the poison, again evokes the might of Gorum, and steps into the battle with the spider.

Attempt to form flanking

Greatsword attack (1d20+3=19)

Greatsword damage (2d6+3=12)

Gorum must really hate spiders. Thelix is on an incredible turn of luck on attack rolls (Knock on wood)

Dwarf Fighter 3

Uh, you killed the spider with your last attack.

Baern helps Sarastal block the door.

"Watch out! Thelix is hallucinating from the poison! He sees spiders everywhere!!"

Male Human Cleric 2 / Fighter 1

whoops! Must be seeing things. Hope it wasn't one of you I just cleaved : ). That's what I get for trying to read a post on my Blackberry

Yselle reloads her crossbow and peeks into the room where the spiders came from ...

Perception 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16
