Battle sorcerer is pretty neat, and you will probably always have something to do in battle. You don't always need to toss around spells, as you can swing a sword with decent accuracy. light armor without spell failure means you don't have to waste a slot on mage armor, and magic weapon will become immensely more useful to you. Get some decent transmutation spells and you will be a force to be reckoned with.

I was thinking that the Arcane Strike feat would be perfect for this class! That and maybe the Fiery Burst reserve feat. :D
Careful with that feat. You may want to tone it down some. Its too powerful as it stands if you have a sorcerer/martial class mix thats actually trying to be good with this feat. Its almost as if they balanced it so that a wizard could more effectively hit some one with his staff if he really had to and it'd be OK.
If you actually focus on utilizing this feat and build your character around it then its just too good. One way to tone it down some without being really mean would be to make using the feat a swift action. This keeps the Sorcerer from being really outrageous and using stuff like electric vengeance in the same round as he's feeding spells through his Great Sword for an obscene bonus to hit and damage. It also reduces the effects down to just a single attack in the round (their be iterative attacks still - they'd just not benefit from this feat) which is probably a good thing.

Which feat should I be careful with? Arcane Strike or Fiery Burst? I had (perhaps wrongly) assumed that they each were a standard action. I think I would allow Arcane Strike as part of a full attack action, but only active on the first attack. Iterative attacks would all be at normal attack bonus and damage.
