I'm assuming that this tunnel leads back into the main room as I try something else.
Rellios once again tries to strike the creature to keep him off balance.
Rapier Attack (1d20+5=16) Sword Attack (1d20+5=21)
Rapier Damage (1d6+2=4)Sword Damage (1d6+1=2)
Sneak Attack (2d6=11) if applicable
Rellios will also take a 5' step back. Hopefully, the forgefiend will follow and bypass Klyndak.
"Hru, get ready to pick up Klyndak, and get him out of here! Don't wait on me...run!"
I'm fairly OK in HPs - By my count I'm at 20 of 26. I hate to waste the positive turnings as it seems to help him as well.

I wish I could say that sneak attack damage was applicable but it's not flanked and it's glaring right at you.
As Rellios seems to be the only meat-puppet doing any damage, the dizzy and damaged forgefiend follows Rellios back into the tunnel. Flames are beginning to spurt out from the many holes that have been put in it so far.Setting up the first opportunity for Rellios to get flanking so far in this battle.
He bites at Rellios with his belly-maw and attempts to chew his armour right off of him. 11 points of damage and reflex save or lose the leathers.
Rellios and Hru's actions now.
Rellios
Forgive my ignorance, but do I have flanking because Hru's behind it now - or becuase of the flames it's spurting?

Question for my next action...I am considering trying a trip action to put it down. However, what I need to know is if it has passed over Klyndak enough that I don't bring it down on his prone form.
By the way, just to confirm - it would be d20 + CMB for a trip, right?

You don't have flanking. You have the opportunity to get flanking. If Hru closed in behind -- ignoring your suggestion to help Klyndak -- you would have flanking. I only mentioned that because I know you wanted it and were trying to get it through the acrobatic stunt which was nearly impossible.
The creature has passed Klyndak and is in no danger of falling on him. ... As for the trip beind d20+CMB, yes. Unless something has changed in Alpha 3. That would be opposed by 15 plus the creature's CMB. Also, it will get an AofO unless you have 'improved trip'.
Hru Gorumgrag
Hru rushes up to Klyndak and drawing the wand attempts to revive him.
2 charges CLW = 14 remaining technically I moved in behind the creature, if that qualifies as a flank (1d8+1=8, 1d8+1=9) nice! +17 I figured using more than 2 charges couldn't happen in a round
Then He looks around to see if Clareg has any sign of life.
Rellios
OK - thanks for the update. Still not sure this is the best bet, but...
Seeing the creature teetering around on it tiny legs, Rellios tries to time its lumbering movements so that it is only on one leg down momentarily as it moves. He then tries to sweep under it to see if it will fall down and be momentarily trapped - like a tortise.
Trip attempt (1d20+4=23)
This doesn't take into account any flanking, which I assume wouldn't count but if Hru's behind it as he said, well...
I don't have the improved feat, so yea I'm assuming an aoo will be in effect. **Fingers crossed I don't die in the process...**
Klyndak
Klyndak
Flanking Hammer Attack: (1d20+4+2=14)
I assume a 14 misses (even with the +4 from being prone)((correct me if I'm wrong)). :/
Seeing Clareg's dead body, I remember my vision and in anger I push past Hru and swing. Anger clouds my aim however.
"What're ye waitin' fer lad!" I shout at Rellios, "Finish 'im off!"
Hru, after the next attack in the next round, if Rellios doesn't kill it, I'll take a 5' step back and if you have an action prepared, you can step in and attack in the same round.
AoO (if applicable for when it tries to stand): (1d20+4+2=15)
Hru Gorumgrag
attack, damage (1d20+3=18, 2d6+3=7) that doesn't take the flank, or prone, so I believe that hits, crappy damage for a greatsword tho. btw nice move on the trip!
Hru struggles to get his greatsword around as Klyndak steps off, but manages to bring it to bear on the evil creature. "For CLAREG!!"
Tarren the Dungeon Master
Even while prone the creature is dangerous. Summoning strength from its burning hunger for ore, ore, and more ore, the forgefiend lashes out at Rellios with its one good arm. Take another 6 points of damage.
As Klyndak's attack fails to strike it, Hru brushes him aside and brings his greatsword down, puncturing the scanderig just above its belly-maw. A plume of flame shoots up from the wound and then it grows cold.
Its arms stop clawing about and the fire dies in its hateful eyes.
Klyndak
"just fer good measure," I say and I smash the forge fiend one more blow to the head.
"This was a misadventure 'n no mistakin'" I lament once more contemplating Clareg's body.
I examine the body of the forge fiend to see if there is anything of interest about it (Detect Magic) and then I ask the other two, "Would ye be 'elpin' me carry 'im up the shaft? Perhap's somewhere in these forsaken spires there is bein' a proper place ta be buryin' 'im?"

Detect magic reveals nothing magical about the Forgefiend's body.
Rellios
Glad it worked...I was getting ready to run while it was prone. However, that last blow brought me to -4.
Klyndak's bellowing and requests go unanswered from the other side of the fiend's body. Rellios sits quietly against the tunnel wall...head slumped and a large puncture wound bleeding out. The creature's last gasp blow has left him near dead.
Hru Gorumgrag
Hru grimly sets about the task of gathering his slain companion from the grisly scene. "Gorum, look after him, till the day of final battle" he mumbles almost imperceptibly. He holds the body as one would a baby, and his once gruff companion seems no burden, now. "He was the finest warrior I have seen, I hope this is worth it...tis a high price the dwarves place on their weregilds..." he trails off bowing his head solemnly. Suddenly he realizes Rellios hasn't said anything. he gently sets Clareg down. And with a low rumble of "nooo...!" He rushes toward the fallen form of the elf drawing the healing wand as he does so.
CLW wand 3charges = 11 remaining (1d8+1=5, 1d8+1=4, 1d8+1=7)
Rellios
"Augh..." Rellios seems to almost jump for breath as life is restored to his frame. A couple of hard breaths reassures him that he's alive, if a bit battered from the forgefiend's blows. "Thanks, Hru...I had hoped you two would be able to finish him off."
Glancing over for the first time out of the haze of battle, he looks over, "Aw no, poor Clareg...you noble dwarf. I'm alright for now...let's get him out of here."
Tarren the Dungeon Master
Since the first time you attacked the revenant, I have you as killing 3 ogres, 1 revenant, 1 forgefiend. Unless I've missed something, you are below what is needed for fourth level. (Fast advancement is very fast but not that fast).
So, is there anything you want to do before you ascend the broken elevator's shaft?
Klyndak
A thought occurs to me.
"That hag will be revivin' by tomorrow. Let's be makin' sure we're after bein' good 'n done down 'ere so we don't 'ave ta be comin' back iffin we don't 'ave ta.'
I think Rellios should be searchin' the floor fer secret doors 'n such 'n I'll be explorin' it with me arcane eye to see if we missed anything magical afore we ascend to our restin' places above.
Tarren the Dungeon Master
Now that you have entered every room (though only Klyndak entered the last room and he was running through) here is the complete map of this level.
Rellios
Agreed on the searching part. Rellios will take twenty to give this section a thorough once over for secret doors and treasure once we all seem capable of movement.
"I wish there was a way to keep the cold hag down in the well...what if we try sealing the well with the forgefiend's body? Master Klyndak, you seem to have a better insight on her - is that too cruel a fate...or just pointless at this time?"
Tarren the Dungeon Master
In one room, Rellios finds what should by its appearance be a hidden door in the stone wall of the spire. He has seen doors of its kind before and can even see the pressure plate to open it. The only problem is that the door has been sealed up -- a bad job done of it too so that the door is even more clearly noticeable. Scratched into the surface of the stone are some words in dwarven:
If ya be plannin' on comin' to steal,
think twice 'fore visitin' this dwarven clan,
or you may just be endin' up behind a seal,
like this would-be a-thievin' man.
Rellios
I'll await Klyndak's reading of the text before I act, but in the meantime can I open the door? Would it take breaking the seal, and would that require Disable Device check? Perception for traps, as well?
"Master Klyndak, would you care to read this before I try opening it...in case I treading on hallowed ground or something."
Klyndak
"I wouldn't be too hasty in openin' up that door lad. Iffin there be anything behind it I would be expectin a ghoul or the like 'n we're not in any condition ta be fightin'"
"The text on the door reads 'Iffin ye be plannin' on comin' ta steal,
think twice afer visitin' this dwarven clan,
or ye may just be endin' up behind a seal,
like this would-be a-thievin' man.'"
"I suppose it might be a clever way ta be hidin' treasure mind ye, but it could just be what it says, the tomb of a thief."

Out of curiosity, Rellios will place his ear next to the door to listen. Perception (1d20+8=15)
"Alright, we can leave it for now. I just hoped we could find something to aid us on our explorations, especially after Clareg's sacrifice," Rellios mentions in a saddened tone. He'll proceed to check around a little more before assisting Klyndak with the chain as needed.

Rellios hears nothing behind the wall.

Did you do anything with the princeling? How about the well?
We carry the Princeling up and lay him besides Clareg, awaiting burial. I contemplated trying to fix the chain shorter but decided against it. We will rest and then in the morning decide whether to bury the bodies outside the tower or else leave them where they lay for the moment and head upstairs. Thoughts fellow travelers?
Rellios
Probably overkill, but since we're contemplating options: Once we have to princeling's body are we going to dump the hag's body back into the well/sauna water? Secondly, would it be possible to roll the forgefiend's body over to well to act as a cap to seal the darn thing in - I'm thinking he might be heavy enough. I'm just speculating in case we are forced back here for some reason.
Secondly, have we seen anything resembling a crypt or mausoleum area? Maybe there's such a place beyond the doors on the first level that we need to explore - just taking a guess that it may help place both their spirits at rest to be buried in a place of dwarven ancestors.
That's all I got to add.

You haven't seen anything resembling a crypt or a mausoleum area. The forgefiend's body would fit in the hole. It's pretty hefty.

I'm for that too, The weekend was a bit hectic, I hope I didn't hold us up. I believe I'm at 18 hp right now, I guess when we awake I'll channel twice (leaving me with some turning still) then heal any other wounds with he wand.
channel positive (1d6=6, 1d6=3)
Hru huddles in prayer as they awake in the morning drawing down divine energy that comforts the forlorn adventurers and heals some of their hurts. Then he looks up and asks whether anyone has any more wounds that require attention. "Anyone still hurt?" he manages in a low voice
Klyndak
I'm at 23/40 hp.
I would suggest we take another day, allowing Hru to heal us, and then go upstairs to investigate that last door we haven't opened. Whatever is on the other side, the dice have told me is quite powerful. I think we should be at full strength, if possible, especially now that we are down to three.
As I wait for Hru to finish his healing, I make the circle and then question the dice, "Is the Regent of Old still lurking in these Spires?"
*toss*
Hru Gorumgrag
3 more times that day Hru calls on the power of Gorum to wash over the encamped group. Supplementing this with extra CLW spells as necessary
no sense wasting the wand if we're camping another day I'll channel 3 more time today, then apply CLW to the balnce (exrta channel feat +2/day)
channel x3 (1d6=1, 1d6=6, 1d6=4)
CLW for Klyndak...CLW for Rellios (in case he needed it) (1d8+2=6, 1d8+2=4)
Hru will go outside, with the bodies the next (camping) day and do a small service making a cairn burial for Clareg and the Prince (Clareg's Cairn) nearby. I would ssume everyone to come out for that regardless of what other stuff we're doing.

Dice:
MAJOR READING: Soon Up Enemy Power
MINOR READING: Food Ally Now Near
Klyndak
My prepared spells the next morning are:
Spells Prepared (CL 3rd)
2nd - Flaming Sphere, Flaming Sphere
1st – Magic Weapon, Mage Armor, Shield
0 - Light, Detect Magic, Guidance, Disrupt Undead
When the other two are ready we head up in the elevator.
"There's no sense in gettin' ourselves killed," I say, "Lets make sure we're good and ready before the doors open 'n iffin its too much fer us to 'andle, let's try and lead him down to the well room. That woman down there is after 'avin' a 'atred 'n I suspect its this one up 'ere she's after 'atin'. In the best o' worlds, they'd do in each other fer us."
Rellios
Rellios is fully healed after two days of magical healing. Assuming he can fix any minor damage done to his armor, he should be good to go for now.
I like your plan for chasing whatever is behind the door down to the well. However, did we go ahead and cap her inside the well with the forgefiend's body like was mentioned - since everyone seemed amicable to that plan. Or just ignore that and be be prepared to bring him down here and let them have it out...
When we get to that door, Rellios will check to see if it is locked or trapped. Perception (1d20+8=27)
Klyndak
Once at the door, I cast Mage Armor on myself. My plan is then to cast Shield, Enlarge and Magic Weapon just before the door is opened (should take 18 seconds to do all that).
"I like the thought of leadin' it down ta the Revenant meself, but whether its practical or not... we'll 'ave ta see."
