OOC: Maybe I was misunderstanding which direction these goblins were coming from. Are they coming at us out of the spire or are they beyond the spire, heading for the spire? I take it these are the reinforcements coming towards the spire? If we can make it to the spire and then back before they get there, that's fine with me.
"I'm ready ta fetch the orc blood," I say, shouldering my pack and loading my crossbow.
"Let's be 'urryin'," I give Rellios' prone form a quick glance. He's looking much stronger, I think to myself, and then I head up towards the spire.

I'll be back in the game shortly - I am updating my sheet and looking at changes in the new PF update. Also, as suggested, I'll be taking the Use Magic Device skill as for my part. Can I assist with the rescue, or am I considered too injured/unconscious to participate?

The DM said you're still at -2 hp.

I wrote a much longer version but it got et. They are coming overland from a mountain deeper in the Mindspins. You guys travelled up the gorge in a Southeasterly direction, right? They would be travelling Northwest. They will have to enter the tunnels to cross the bridge to the spire. You can avoid them and let them take the spire, fight them, or rescue Hru and cross to the second spire ... yes, I am kind of limiting your choices for the sake of the mixed thread aspect.

Gotcha.
I tell Clareg to carry the elf and I will cover us with the crossbow.
"Iffin' we're attacked, we'll either 'ave ta fight or run. We'll see 'ow it plays out."
Clareg carries the elf and as much as he can carry and I take the rest.
Then, so burdened we head back to the spire, ready as we're going to be.
I'm still curious about the spear and dice.

The spear is a +1 short spear. The dice are cool. Once a week they can be used to cast augury. The user need not be a caster but must speak goblin. They were used by the witch before you entered. She saw her own death. I can't recall how many charges of CLW the wand has ... maybe 13.

Once upon the landing, I cast Mage Armor on myself (2 hours). I motion to Clareg to lay the elf down and then with my crossbow at the ready, I move towards the entrance of the bat chamber.
"'owzabout we plop 'im in one o' the 'uts? 'E's a 'eavy bugger or the stairs are gettin' bigger!"
Kannonfodder
"Yeah, but let's be takin out the brew, if its after still bein' in there. Wouldn't want any accidents to be blowin' 'im to smithereens while we're after bein' gone."
"Ey! Don't be lookin' at me. That wuzz all o' the 'alf-orcs doin' ... Let's tie the bat to the 'ut 'e says!" Clareg responds defensively.
Klyndak
"I wasn't layin' blame. Just sayin' is all."
"Sure would be nice iffin' we could be gittin that gobbo to stand on a couple of those while we went and lit the rug underneath 'im," I say wistfully as I carry out any of the casks of brew and sit them in another of the huts.
Once the elf is laid in the hut, we head back up towards the bat chamber.

"Do ya think 'e would?" asks Clareg "'E'd 'ave tuh be being pretty dumb, eh?."
Tarren the Dungeon Master
Once you have entered the room, the flapping of wings from the side chamber where the moonshine still was before alerts you that The Creep is not without his defenses. A swarm of bats emerges from both side tunnels at once and heads straight towards you and Clareg.
They won initiative so they now surround you and will do damage if they still surround you at the end of this turn.
Tarren the Dungeon Master
"Clareg, you be runnin' out and lightin' torches!" I shout, "Get some of that brew if ya want. I'll be runnin' in ta look fer Hru!"
And I run at double speed through the two swarms and into the tunnel across from the entrance.
It's one bat swarm that divided and rejoined. Swarms can take up to 4 squares or one, eh.
Distraction (Ex) Any living creature that begins its turn with a swarm in its space must succeed on a DC 11 Fortitude save or be nauseated for 1 round. The save DC is Constitution-based.
The swarm follows you as you run. 3 points of damage. Fortitude save.

I heave the unconscious priest over my shoulder and move out post haste!
Just out of curiousity, what's your encumberance like with that big lug on your shoulders?
Clareg returns with the torch just as you are exiting.
"Keep goin'," he says "I'll take care o' these 'ere bats."
He sticks the torch into the swarm around your head and shoulders.
You take another 3 points of damage before you get out into the sunlight. Clareg takes 3 as well.
Once out in the sunlight, Clareg says "Give me 'is arms and you take 'is feet..." It isn't until you grab his feet that he adds "I don't wanna be touchin' more o' that batshit on them there boots unless I 'ave to."
Klyndak
Hmmm - effective str 15 - likely a heavy load to say the least. Then again, he's been sucked dry, might not weigh as much :D
"We 'ave ta be crossin' the bridge ta the other spire," I say to Clareg. "Be easier if these two could be walkin' on their own."
If necessary, I can cast enlarge on myself and then carry Hru across the bridge.
Tarren the Dungeon Master
Actually, Hru, don't delete the equipment ... mark it as lost. That way we can just give it back to you if and when you defeat the BBEG.
Also, I'm afraid to say 1 con point off ... count yourself lucky he's dieting.
Kannonfodder
With Clareg's help, you make it down to the bridge. The two of you carry Hru across to the other side and return and get Rellios. As you carry Rellios across, you begin to hear the noise and chants of an approaching army. You return and get any equipment left behind. Then that crazy dwarf runs back across the bridge again and into the hut where you had piled that moonshine from the hut you kept Rellios in. He runs back across with 5 casks of the stuff.
"Ya gave me an idea before ... I'm not sure what it was but I'm sure I 'ad it and forgot it."
Tarren the Dungeon Master
You could try to hide in the shelter of the doorways but it would only take one curious goblin to cross the log bridge and find you.
The goblins are chanting:
When we be poor,
Kick in door,
Smash head, smash more,
eat brains off floor,
kick more door,
smash head to floor,
eat brains, eat more,
take gold, not poor.
Kannonfodder
What part of ...
Clareg's eyes pop out and dart about in fear. He struggles for a moment against Hru's arms before he recognizes the face.
With a look of terror in his eyes, he stammers and struggles and finally spits out the words: "Blooddrinker ... vampire!".
... did you not understand?
Hru Gorumgrag
I was out at a geek stag party, no dancin girls just old video games, odd..But I didn't kill those wounded creatures(not that a neutral priest of Gorum was showing pity) I had just found out they were alive when Rellios returned and we had to act. (really it's all there in black and white..unlike my freaked out post, it's plainly legible) just a question; I can't channel without my holy symbol right? I do have craft and whatnot so I can make a new one if there's a place and materials (not a sword just a symbol....just thinkin I'll be limited without that..better than dead tho...btw THANKS GUYS!! I know it's hard for a dwarf to save an orcblood and all! you = da bomb 8^D
Tarren the Dungeon Master
Clareg opens the door while Klyndak stands ready. No sooner is it opened than you understand why the goblins had locked it from the outside. The skeletons of four dwarves dressed as guards in chainshirts and helmets spring to life. The armour on all but one of them is showing its age.
SURPRISE ROUND
Dwarven skeletons move.

In Dwarven I say to them, "Ho lads, someone has done wrong to you. You should be after those goblins on the other ledge."
But I don't let sentiment stop me from attacking in self defense.
If I can move into a flank position without provoking attacks of opportunity, I do. Otherwise, I try to fight without a lot of shouting.
