Been on pins and needles with the checking! I just decided I had to step away for a bit; take care of some stuff here at home. By the way, stabilize is just a fortitude check, no?
No. Well actually that's a variant rule. The base rule reads as follows: Stable Characters and Recovery On the next turn after a character is reduced to between -1 and -9 hit points and on all subsequent turns, roll d% to see whether the dying character becomes stable. He has a 10% chance of becoming stable. If he doesn’t, he loses 1 hit point. (A character who’s unconscious or dying can’t use any special action that changes the initiative count on which his action occurs.)

OK, thanks! Well, here's my rolls so far:
Stabilize (1d100=15, 1d100=40, 1d100=90, 1d100=97, 1d100=79, 1d100=81, 1d100=79)Well...that was no help. Fingers crossed for the next round.
Can I just say that we've managed to have the worst collection of rolls on tap.

The Creep smashes his flail into Hru as he attempts to tumble by for 11 pts of damage but then, deciding he wants to get in on the insanely bad dice craze, cannot hit a prone half-orc on the floor beneath him.
From what I understood of Hru's series of expletives and dice rolls he failed to tumbled past the guy and ended up on the floor. He is now within 15' radius of Rellios.

Unless I misunderstood Hru's actions. He seemed to attempt to tumble past the Creep and land flat on his ass, which is considered good form at Orcish circuses BTW. So, yes, the Creep is at the door and smirking. He'd be laughing if he weren't so evil.

The nasty minion finally gets up the courage to participate and cuts into Klyndak with a dogslicer. 1 point of damage.

As Clareg flees, I attempt to overrun the goblin in the doorway:
Yay! I roll a 20! Now I have to look that up to see what a natural 20 on a Combat Manuever does.
EDIT: Automatic Success. But I assume there is still an AoO. For the record, I am moving at full speed. This has been the weirdest fight i.e dice rolls.

I look back at Hru once as I flee, my heart torn within me. One the one hand, I hate to leave a man behind, even if it is an orc blood. But there are two others who yet need me.
With a cry of frustration I flee out of the rooms, following after Clareg.

We flee down the steps, past the huts, dodging into the newer tunnel, stopping just for a second to see if we are being pursued by bats and then, we continue on.
"I be thinkin' that we might be wantin' to be further away from that gobbo than these rooms," I say to Clareg, "What say we cross the bridge and 'ead back to one of those stops we was passin' on the way 'ere?"

ooc: Leveling depends on exp and the DM :) But I have only 4 hp. That's going to take some time to heal without Hru (2-4 hp/day at second level.) I think the best thing to do is make a camp and rest there until we are healed to a reasonable level or something else happens. Unless Rellios wants to mount a part to rescue Hru without actually fighting.

You are far beyond the XP to level up. You've been going non-stop for 3 days or so, eh? I thought there was some doses of CLW left in that jug -- or did Hru have the jug. The wand you found is a wand of CLW, BTW. You could deduce that upon examining it with time permitting.

Hru had the jug. As for the wand - heh. Rellios is going to have to take Use Magic Item if he hasn't and try to use it. That's my suggestion. I can't use it and can't take the skill as a class skill. But I am going to take Appraise so we'll figure out what's what with the magical items. Should we level our characters and go from there?

Sure. Level up and make your rescue. Remember, the spire will not stay vacant forever. I allowed the other team to level up in two days of rest so we'll make it the same here.

I think Rellios is at -2 after a couple days of healing.
After a couple of days, Clareg comes rushing back from scouting about to the chamber off of the tunnel:
"I just spied a group of gobbos and hobgobs on their way down the mountain. We've gotta move. They'll be here in an 'alf hour at most and they got them ugly dogs!"
