To the players:
O.K. I am going to discuss a few things. I just want a little input first.
1. I imagine you all are ready to get moving out. I suggest you discuss the information Eir got with Hanali and formulate a plan. When you do, we can kick this game into gear.
2. I am assuming that everyone has had enough flavor for now. When you have discussed options I will handwave the game forward. I'd like to pick up the pace a bit since I can feel a few folks getting antsy.
3. I am going to be off tomorrow, so I will be checking the posts on and off. I'd like to clear up the remaining loose ends and move forward by tomorrow evening if possible.
Any problem with this let me know.

D. Monkey sounds OK to me. BTW, I saw the other monkey before I picked the haunt w/ pencil I'm using- but would you believe the name 'Blue Monkey' was taken?
Yeah, that stinks the name was taken. I thought Dungeon Monkey was a cool take on it, and 'Spinner of Secrets' just wasn't doing it for me.

I'll quickly tell everyone that Karrin is badly in need of a mentor and spiritual adviser. Things sadly need to be spelled out for her. Also if it's something she doesn't like doing she needs to be constantly reminded and told not to do it (like talking with her mouth full for example). She's very chaotic, if there's an easy way to do something she'll usually try it first, and has absolutely no qualms about stealing or cheating. She's basically a good person though, and fiercely loyal, but sadly she's not very mentally mature.
Beating information out of people works for Batman but I somehow doubt that it's something that Renkar is going to approve of and it might draw the attention of the watch. Someone might want to tell her when this tactic is acceptable and when it isn't, snatching up a goblin and kicking the tar out of him for information is probably wrong somehow . . .

Oh no! Karrin has fallen in with the exact crowd her father tried to warn her about! :D
Patrick: Karrin needs that spiritual adviser ASAP!
Have you thought about looking up your little boxy friend O.L.L.I? He works at the Lady's Library in the Lady's Ward. He probably has done his promised research on Rao by now.

Sweet! Methinks Karrin's going to badly need a confession before this adventure's through!

Kruelaid and Thrugnipp:
I didn't get a direct idea if you wanted to head to Orsmonder's Meats or try something else. Soon as I get a clarification I will update.
Let's go talk meat with Orsmonder.
It's my bed time. So if there is anything exciting happening to us I will be posting tomorrow evening.

I read this at work (I had some time to read but was too busy to post)I only saw the message at first- when i read the whole line I almost fell off my chair. The idea of high end women's foundation garments showing up in game just struck me as hilarious.

LOL. Took me a while to figure out a phrase that I could encode TAW's warning to you. :P

OOOOO ... One last post b4 I turn this Infernal machine off:
To Kruelaid:
I saw in another thread I was lurking on that you wanted some ideas for the possible World War Z PbP. For characters, I would think that most of the survivors would fall into 3 categories:
Civil servants: by which I mean police and firefighters ... not accountants or town managers. Unfortunately nurses, doctors and EMTs would probably be overwhelmed at the hospitals first off.
Military: Guns, kevlar, vehicles, training, teamwork. What more can I say?
Bikers/Survivalists: Bikers could be very mobile (think Dawn of the Dead without the stupidity) and are used to living on the road. Survivalists just knew the end of the world was a-coming, and this time they was right! (chee chee)
Just a few random thoughts from my ...[urrgh arrgh] BRAAAAAAINS!

D. Monkey, I've noticed that in Kruelaid's pbp, he has asked his players to give him a list of rolls so he has them instead of having to ask for rolls when he needs them. Is this something that you would want to do?
I'm trying to do some set up for Swift and greep, but not sure how far you want us to go. Or how much you want to do without hearing from her.

Actually I would like to get some pre-rolled rolls. It will help move the game along in case we have a long period of no posting.
I would think:
5 regular unmodified d20s
5 Perception rolls
5 Diplomacy rolls
5 attack rolls
5 damage rolls
Everyone except Kayos has been a regular poster, so I don't think it will be much of a problem, but good to have in a pinch.
For Kayos:
Kayos, I don't know if you are having Real Life issues or if the game isn't holding your attention, but could you please just drop by when you read this and post what's going on? I did ask when I started this that everyone be able to post up at least once a day, or if there was a problem to drop by and let me know so I could adjust the game. I totally understand if life is taking you away from the computer. I am typing this at 5am my time on a Saturday just to get it in. It isn't a problem yet to have Swift be Greep's 'silent partner', but it is going to become an issue soon as we move to a more active phase of the game.

If we post a lot of pre-rolls, how will we be dealing with the 'unknown' nature of these rolls? After all a lot of the game is about not knowning what is going to be rolled before you try an action.
I guess these pre-rolls will only be used by you if we haven't posted and the game is stalling because of it so this won't be an issue most of the time. But these will still be public knowledge and likely to be taken into account by others, even if unconsciously.

That is correct Thrugnipp. I only would use these rolls if there is a long stretch of time where you can't post. I don't want you to feel like I will just use these rolls 'willy-nilly' and deprive you of you autonomy. If you want, post the numbers in spoiler form. I will be randomizing them anyway. You are right in that the game has a lot to do with uncertainties, and I would endeavor to keep things uncertain, but if the entire game grinds to a halt because of someone having issues it is not fair to the others. If you truly feel like you don't want to post numbers up then I would like your advance permission to roll for you if for some reason you are unable to post for a length of time.
| Thrugnipp |
DM. I am content to do whatever you would prefer. My only real concern is that it is highly likely that one or other set of rolls will either be all bad, all good or all mediocre which would mean that even randomising would not have too much effect.
As a suggestion, if you want some pre-rolls, could we cook the odds a bit and, for each set of 5 rolls, give you two 'bad' ones (1d8 + mods), two 'moderate' rolls (1d8 + 8 + mods) and two 'good' rolls (1d8 + 12 + mods). You would pick randomly from whatever we had in each list at the time, and it would be our responsibility to keep the lists topped up if any numbers are used.
