And there I was making plans to run Legacy of Fire as a Pbp.
Don't let this little game stop you! I have it on good authority that the last adventure kicks serious ass! ;)

Where can I sign up for that PbP? And great going Rob!

Thanks, everyone! Hopefully, it's good one and Paizo will ask me to do another one for them.
Larcifer, I had about 2 months from start to finish, but I SERIOUSLY underestimated the time and effort required to write a 30,000-word high-level adventure (I usually prefer lower-level play), so I ended up going over my deadline a bit. I had everything planned out, but it was another matter to actually write it up with all the little details. In a home game of course, you know everything and can run with it, but when writing it out for other DMs you really have to pay attention to those details!

What's there is there - you took most of the more valuable stuff the first time you were here (did anyone ever take a look at that, BTW?).
Looking back, we were last here from about the middle of page 8 to the middle of page 9, and we had:
There are a fair number of wooden crates packed with straw in the main room. Scattered among the crates are a lot of grave goods from various tombs and crypts, much of it mundane and/or broken (but who’s to say how valuable it might be?)There’s a lone sarcophagus adorned with the sedate image of an eagle-headed woman (lying face down on the floor).
Also in the main room are a bullseye lantern, shovel, crowbar, coil of rope, a small brush, light hammer and light pick. A light crossbow lies among the fallen crates, connected to a long string to which several small bells have been tied.
In the back room (apparently Samir’s bedroom), there is a small cot, a barrel serving as a table, and a stool. Atop the barrel is a mass of curled parchment and a thick, dusty book.
Among the burnt remains of Samir’s skeleton are his whip, dagger, charred leather armor, and a scorched belt pouch.
We also had one of the best lines:
Bedu smiles at Skittle and Lotus. "That was our partner Samir. Luckily we have the map and a future." He points down at the bits of charred bone.

I don't remember us taking that stuff with us, but we should now. I can always use another dagger :-)

Hey gang, I may actually have to disappear for a few days without any advance notice. It looks like my second daughter is going to be arriving a little earlier than planned, which means I have a lot of scrambling to do at the office. I'll keep posting while I can, but feel free to sub for me as needed.

i will be away for a week off to vegas....
a WEEK in Vegas? Man, that's about three days too long. It's a fun place, but if I ever spent more than a long weekend there, my mortality would seriously come in to question. A long weekend, with one whole day to recover when you get back, before you start working again, and you may get out alive.

Have fun Larcifer.
I hope life is getting back to normal now Billzabub?
Cheers
Hah! As normal as it can be, I suppose. I almost forgot what the sleep deprivation is like, and what it does to my productivity. I'll try to keep up the pace, especially during combat segments, but if I'm lagging at all, please feel free to post for me. I'm playing Skittle a bit reckless, and thinking about a level in barbarian, so just play him accordingly.

Rob McCreary wrote:It's not stopping me! :)So I've read in the blog post... GRRRRRR... They flying you in or something???
Alright, lets try again. Do a wife and job count as valid stopping criteria?
HA! I wish they were flying me in! No, I bought a ticket and then let Paizo know I was coming. I don't think I'm a big enough draw for plane tickets.
As for criteria, I have a fiancee and a job... :)
But I'm using this as an excuse to go back to the States and visit my family, just stopping off in Seattle first for some gaming goodness!

Don't you develop a picture in your head of what people look like. Sometimes right and sometimes wrong. Neil Spicer looks nothing like I imagined, for instance.
I dont know how or why but on some level I had you pinned as a six footer plus. The picture in the blog gives alittle bit morethan a head shot enough to have an idea.
BTW I aint entirely serious about all this, not a complete nutter yet.
Have fun in your game. You are running LoF too, is that for your own Prague group? would Marta be the fiancee?
Cheers

But my image of you is that you *are* a complete nutter! ;)
Yeah, I finally got a real-life group together in Prague. We made up characters on Sunday, and started on a little intro adventure, because I didn't get my PDF until yesterday! Hopefully we'll get into the full swing of things next weekend. And yes, she's the one!

Yep, plus I'd love to know how much healing we have given Indo. He has taken a pummeling this fight.
I keep expecting him to cast mage armor, but...he doesn't. *shrug*
DM - can we still see Tanish? i.e. could I run forwards and daze him?
Besides the fact that Bedu already took an action, Tanish double moved and ran around the southern corner, so he's out of sight of the group. By the time you get there, he might be gone...

Then I can easily add Rotterdam / The Hague to your list of beers that are cold and ready.

No s++#? I've been in the area about thirteen years, and I live right near the East Falls Church Metro. I'm out at the Fairfax courts all the time, but Lowdown, on the other hand, not so much.

No s&%~ indeed. I went to high school in Herndon, and after a short stint at VA Tech, finished up my BA at George Mason. Eventually moved to Ashburn (or Ass-burn, if you prefer) for cheaper living.
Then I moved to Europe. :)
