Gittik
Gittik decides to shin down the drainpipe, just to show off his porwess. However, the wine from last night obviously had more than a small effect on him and after floundering about on the windowsill, he says, "Me see you downstairs soon."
Climb roll = 2 + 4 = 6.
He decends and goes out into the back garden, try to look nonchalant, resting both hands cockily on his sword hilts.
"You, me fight, is good. Me try to no hurt you."
Elgan Dreadwood
Elgan comes out of whatever nook he was exploring, and joins Altai, Stiggy and Reise at the doorway. He quickly catches up.
"Ah, Ah sees chere, dey have locals what come ta pick up da goods!" He glances at them out of the window.
"Dey looks like young'uns. Did ya plan ta catch'em, er kill'em?" HE asks, frowning.
Still not updated. Hopefully before this gets underway! work and home be crazy! Thx!

sense motive dc 5:
He attempts to disarm you of your scimitar, but fails to do so.
"Oh, you dashing young feller. You've ate your oats this morning! Oh, I'm almost out of breath."
Gittik
Roll = 8.
Gittik narrows his eyes - there is more to this old duffer than meets the eye. A worthy adversary. Gittik follows up with a double thrust with both weapons, trying to slap him across the abdomen with the flat of his blades.
Scimitar = 20 + 5 - 4 = 21. Confirm crit = 4 + 5 - 4 = 5. Subdual damage = 2 + 2 = 4. Kukri = 17 + 5 - 4 = 18. Subdual damage = 2 + 1 = 3.

GITTIK:
"Hwumph!" He plops to the ground, the wind knocked out of him by the rap. It's good that halflings aren't known for osteoporosis.
"Good show, young Gittik! Good show!"
He kicks his legs out and springs up to his feet (unless you've put the kukri to his neck or that sort of thing).
"Heh...don't want Jane see me like that, she worries you know. Oh, hello Jane!" He looks behind you.

Back at the mansion,....
Whoever goes in the door roll move silently. vs their listen. If you win you can attack in a surprise round. If not, then next round.
Setup: this is the west room ground floor, with the murderholed door in the floor.
a-e across the top, 1-9 down the side.
a-d 1-3 is the porch. It's covered and made of stone.
The door in is at c1. The room is a-d 4-9, the floor door is at b5, the door Stiggy's behind is at d7; the hall at e7 on eastward is the one where the gnolls attacked.
Randy and Sandy Anderhoff are at a 5 and 6.
4 thugs are at b4, c4, d4, and c5.
Erybody starts at e7, except Altai who starts at b5 or back down the stairs; he can't surprise them.
When you roll your move silently,
Altai Iscarni
Heathy:
Altai tiptoes towards the trapdoor, quietly muttering an incantation.
Beldan Vale
Buys up a bit of food for the group to take back on the boat tomorrow, ‘cos he’s not sure anyone’s thought of that (20 days worth of rations, 10gp).
He’ll then make a concentrated effort to track down Gittik, to tell him about the boat heading back to the mansion the next morning. Follows the directions that he was given to Jane’s house if Gittik hasn’t shown up back at the inn by then.
Young Beldan’s feeling happy and carefree, walking through the streets, hands in pockets, whistling and grinning.

He heads over to the mansion. Gittik's in back in the garden, fencing with Master Neber. Beldan is shown in; they're sitting outside on the porch sipping lemonade and chatting.
"Hey, deaf and blind! Me practice swords with old guy!" or somesuch...
Beldan Vale
Beldan ducks in through the short doorway, thanking the maid/butler awkwardly, then sits on the step, sipping lemonade from the tiny glass and watching the duel.
He makes some small talk with Jane (no puns though), he'll talk Gittik up, leaving out anything that might not reflect well on the guy. When he gets a chance he’ll give Gittik the news, tell him about the boat tomorrow, and then say his goodbyes as quickly as he can without being rude.
He’s not a real tall guy, and he’s quick on his feet, but he feels like an awkward giant amongst all these halflings. It’s a little unnerving.
Beldan Vale
He’ll check out the anderhoff’s slaughterhouse since they’re not there right now – kidding!
Nah, he’ll wander around, looking for someone who has some nice flowers growing in their garden or window sill flower pot or whatever and swipe some to gift to Pharsia. Then he’ll go back, ask her if that job is still going ahead, and when.
After that, he’ll spend the night if he can, or go back to the inn if not.
Hmm, maybe he should check out the slaughterhouse … at night. See if Gittik wants in…
dungeonmaster heathy
right on.
Aubrey said elsewhere he's going to a weekend vacation, so he won't be posting the next three days.
Additionally, I've either misplaced, or my wife has accidentally thrown away, my Dungeon with the slaughterhouse in it.
So, it might be a couple days before I can make that happen; I'll either have to find it or rewrite it piecemeal.

Hrrmm ... Ive got it at home somewhere, not that it helps you a whole lot. If you want I could scan you the relevant pages, promising not to read anything as I go. If you want, let me know. Probably soonest I could do so is 24 hours or so.
EDIT: Heathy:
Beldan Vale
Beldan recalls the smuggler halfling girl talking about the guys who picked up the gear to bring it back to Saltmarsh, and Altai identifying them as the Anderhoff brothers who run the slaughterhouse … might be worth checking out, surreptitious-like.
He’ll ask about to find the address of the place Gather information: 14+5 = 19 then head down there in the late afternoon / early evening, lurk about trying not to look obvious and just scope the place out for a quarter hour or so, noting comings and goings, ways in and out, terrain, etc.
Bluff:13+5 = 18, Hide:3+9 = 12, Taking Twenty on spot: 20+1=21
If it looks like there’s not going to be too many people around at night, and getting in and out stealthily might be doable, he’ll head back to the inn and see if Gittik is there (he’ll have told Gittik that’s where he’ll be), and see if he wants in. If Giitk isn’t there, and/or the place looks easy enough, he might decide to head out there on his own.
dungeonmaster heathy
Beldan scopes the joint for a few hours from an alley across the way.
Cattle go down a ramp from the two holding pens out front. Seems to be a good 15 people who work there from the comings and goings.
Sees Vander, the oldest brother, come and go a few times from a door on the east between the two pens.
There's two doors on the north wall, one is small 5'wide, one is a doubledoors like to a barn; 10 feet wide.
At night, it looks like they quit for the day just after sunset and head (presumably) home.
Doesn't see Vander leave at that time.
It's about 100 feet north south by 80 feet east west; with a 50 by 50 or so annex from the western wall. The pens are about 60 by 60 feet and a double doors is between the pens.
All day long, fighting cattle go down the ramp in the south pen.
Elgan Dreadwood
Elgan follows Altai towards the door, wincing in almost physical pain as Stiggy bounces off the walls.
IF I get an action in the surprise round, AND I can get to the door. I'll cast Entangle on the largest group of smuggler-wannabies.
STill no time to update! I hope to be able to do it tomorrow! (Opera opened tonight tomorrow pretty easy day.)
Beldan Vale
Hmmm…
Beldan thinks he recalls Altai mentioning three or four brothers ran the place, but he’s not sure. Maybe the others are away … or maybe they just don’t all have need to come outside.
He’s undecided so far … that Vander guy looks pretty beefy.
from a metagame point of view, any preference for me getting this started now and going over the weekend, or starting on Monday with Aubers (if he’s interested)? I’m cool either way.
Gittik
If you guys want to do the slaughterhouse without me, that's fine (you'll all die though - don't say I didn't warn you).
In any case, Gittik will hang about the mansion, wander the streets of Saltmarsh a bit, get a bit of a feel for the place, in expectation of catching the boat back later.
With his trousers round his knees, Gittik "decides" to let the old guy win with grace (but only because he is Jane's grandad - he'd kick his arse otherwise).
"Hey, old guy, you fight good, and tricky. Maybe me learn a few tricks from you, heh!"
Dignity sort of restored, he retires to the house to find a piece of string to tie up his new mauve hose.

Cool. If running a split party is a headache, just say so, Bel will think twice about this venture and just get the boat in the morning.
Naah, it's all good.
I was just freakin when I couldn't find the galldang dungeon that I had sorta led into...it looks canipted.
