Crimson Throne covers

Curse of the Crimson Throne

I must say that I really like the covers for the first two volumes of Curse of the Crimson Throne, especially the one for Seven Days to the Grave. Any chance of seeing the full picture for that one in a blog entry?

For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, here's some links:
Edge of Anarchy cover
Seven Days to the Grave cover

Thank you for the links! Ive seen the Otyugh art somewhere but not the female fighter or paladin.

The second cover is excellent!!! I so love gnomes. :)

Those covers are awesome. Love the color-coding. Keep up the excellent work.

I'd also quite like to see them as desktops. I know its probably a lot of hassle and I rather you guys concetrated on more important issues but the covers do make awesome backgrounds. I'd also love to see the cover for Guide to Korvosa as a desktop background.

Also who did the art for the guide to Korvosa? Its pretty amazing.

Yeah, the cover for PF 8 is pretty killer. WAR does it again!

Actually, that's a Halfing, not a Gnome. He was in the Blog a while ago.

Is it the red that makes the covers pop or is it just the art that you like??

For me, it is a combination. I really like the art, but the red just stand out in great way.

I saw the red cover in the first blog post they previewed it, and I have to say I was worried. It looked to bright and shiny in the picture. Now that I see these, my concerns are basically gone. The red looks beautiful on the covers.

My only problem? I'm gonna have to wait six months to have my set.

Now, the question is... does this mean that the covers for Second Darkness are going to be black? I certainly hope so :) (I guess that speaks to my black soul)

evilash, rumor has it they may be purple.

Yup. Chances are good that Second Darkness will have a dark purple cover.

Which is not, contrary to some rumors I just made up, the same as a Deep Purple cover.

So the rumours that some Drow are recording Perfect Strangers are false?

I wouldn't go that far.

If you're asking if they're recording cover versions of the Deep Purple song "Perfect Strangers," they may or may not be. If you're asking if they're setting their VCRs to tape the Bronson Pinchot sitcom Perfect Strangers, well, of course they are! Even drow love that wacky Balki!

Nice try, but I see through your attempt to change the subject and mention popular shows in order to make us forget the music part.

Even the name fits. Deep purple. You don't get much deeper than drow.

It is all but confirmed now.

Now I have to try to sneak in an NPC named Balki. Or Bahlkey. Or some-such.

If so, make sure he has combat stats.

No one tell Mike that the rules for divine characters are in the SRD!

Zowie Powie!

Is that a druid or a rakshasa in the background?
Are those Yuan-ti?
That WAR guy delivers.

The guy in the background is the same as the guy in the foreground. It's a monk, but his background hasn't been announced yet. I'm betting he is a Vudran (at least, I think that is what the Indian-esque people are called).

The Vudran monk isn't showing up until Second Darkness. The guy in the background is the human wizard Ezren (see his staff?).

The moment our graphic design team isn't working on layout for products, designing ads, or doing any one of 700 daily items they somehow magically complete, they'll turn their creative attentions to PF7 and PF8 and generate desktop wallpapers for those covers. I'm hoping they'll happen soon, but no promises. Keep watching the blog, for that is where they'll appear. :-)
