Potential IP Infringement - Crusader Mini's Rune Lords line?

Miniatures

These guys look pretty familiar. I'm not sure how to bring this to Paizo's attention, or if they even care. I'm willing to bet this is skirting the line in a way that nothing could be done, but thought it was worth bring up:

Wow, bad knockoffs of Merseielle, Kyra, Ezren, and Valeros.

Cool, yeah, that's kind of what I was thinking. I figure they probably have in-channels to the right people. I just don't know this forum well enough to have the ins and outs down, didn't know what the right way to get the right people's attention was.

Thanks.

so bad, I wonder why anyone would bother with the knockoff rather than painting the original from Reaper.

Thank you for the heads up, this has been forwarded to the appropriate folks for review.

TBH if they were painted with a different color scheme, I don't think it would be an issue.... lord knows the thief and fighter look totally different. It's just the wizard and cleric that really look spot on.... change the blues tto o reds, and they really wouldn't be nearly as bad

While I agree with the color scheme mattering, I know IP law is complicated, and the expression of the character is intended to be spot on. It's clear what their intent is, and even if there is nothing Paizo can do about this specific release, it's worth them knowing what Crusaders Minis is doing, so they can keep an eye on them in the future, if not at least to ask them to remove the image imitating the Iconics' colors, which would remove most of the important IP markers from the page (a bare metal picture or alternate scheme is likely less confusing in the eyes of IP law). It might also be enough for Paizo to contact them and tell them they don't like the attempt to copy their IP to ward off future attempts.

Either way, wiser legal eyes than mine are now looking at it and deciding what to do, if anything.

Looks like they might have taken the item out of their line. Good to see.
