One of my players is considering playing a lizardfolk character.
My initial thoughts:
The lizardfolk have been fighting the boggards seemingly forever. They have decided that they need to ally with the humans before it is too late.
Lizardfolk would make great pearl divers so maybe they offer pearls to the humans as incentive to enter into this alliance.
As part of the alliance agreement some lizardfolk have gone to various human settlements to learn of how they live and vice versa. I'm assuming some rangers would love to learn from the lizardfolk.
And of course the PC is one of the ones that was sent to Sandpoint.
Anyone got any other ideas on what the lizardfolk could bring to this table?
Or any thoughts good or bad on having a reptile character?

Make sure you take into account that lizardfolk have two racial HD and a +1 LA. A lizardfolk without class levels starts at ECL 3.
As far as classes go, lizardfolk make decent druids, but are better in a martial role (barbarian, fighter, paladin, ranger). The natural armor is a great benefit for classes with armor restrictions, also.

I played a lizardfolk-sorcerer a while ago in a mini-campaign.
This definitly was a lot of fun.
I portrayed him as quite alien and cold in terms of emotions.
In terms of mechanics the natural armor bonus paid off great.
I focused on the natural weapons and touch-spells which was quite effective too.

I've only got three players so we are trying out gestalt characters and bumping up their power a bit. One of the players will be have an aasimar character. The other player is just going to bump his levels til things even out.
The lizardfolk player is thinking druid/sorcerer.On the role-playing front I thought it would be amusing to have the humans annoyed by the lizardfolk smelling like pond water. So they are politely asked to bathe or shower. I would imagine reptiles would learn to love a nice hot shower on a cold morning and be very appreciative of this suggestion.
