D&D and Real Life

Has anyone noticed anything from D&D in your real life? Like people's names? Places? People that remind you of D&D characters?

I have two at the moment:

1: I work with a woman named Lilith Drider. The first time I saw it I did a double take

2: I noticed that my family crest is a raven, with the motto God Feeds the Raven. This made me think of Ravenloft and Count Strahd von Zarovich his crest was the same. I have black hair and really fair skin. I had a little chuckle.

So what are yours?

All I have got is that our oldest daughter is named Arwen, and we both have pointy elf ears. Sorry couldn't add more to the thread

Not exactly D&D but I know someone named Randal Thor.

A nice upstanding Christian family recently had a daughter. Her name: Lilith. Have they even read the bible?

Sweeeeet. My family mottos are "Pierced through but not dead" and "Let the world hear it".

Lilith is not in the bible, at least not in the King James version of it.

Most of my D&D in metagame comes from reading some mythology or something and thinking "oh, that's where they got that from." Other than that... not really.

well, it is a 2nd & 3rd edition reference, but here I go...

My next door neighbor at my lake house is a dwarf. I offer to take him out on my boat all the time but he refuses, not having any ranks in swim. So one day I get him good and drunk on ale (no easy feat being a dwarf) and convince him to come out for a sail. When we reach the middle of the lake I pushed him overboard and he sank like a stone.

The End

The above post was a work of fiction and I do apologize sincerely if I offended anyone with my antics and refernces... but my warped sense of humor thought it funny at the time. Thank you.

It's in a couple of ...other editions. I'm not Christian, so I'm not sure on the details of exactly which bibles, but the bible I have contains the name. Just sayin'.
