Grimcleaver, you really should just post a thread laying out your version of D&D. While I initially thought it was batshiat insane (which I say with all due respect), I've come to appreciate its gritty charms and I'd like to hear more about how it actually works. Plus, that way you can just reference back to that thread once the questions about how exactly it works start coming up.

Or you could just buy Talislanta. It had most of these rules circa 1987. Highly recommended, both as a rule set and an exotic campaign world. I have a feeling 4E will resemble Talislanta even more than it will resemble Iron Heroes.
