The Return of Filge

Age of Worms Adventure Path

In my campaign the party killed Filge, but the party cleric/wiz a user of undead minions, had a real hatred of him. I had filge's remains dug up and removed from the cemetary in between chapter 1/2 as a little tease for the party, but Filge's name has kind of been forgotten.

They are just about to start HOHR and i got to thinking about how to bring Filge back.....

Thought about them catching glimpses of him in crowded Waterdeep sreets, as they move around just to un-nerve them, been playing abit with thier heads of late with one thing and another.

Then i thought how about bringing him back big style in the Champions Games(having found out the party has entered) in a competing team!!!!

He will of course be either raised or undead not quite decided which yet.

Kulen is also still alive so.......

So what do you all think?? any advice/tips/ideas???

Good idea. My party cut his hand off, stabilized him so they could interrogate him, then had to let him go due to paladin's honor code and not trusting local authorities to lock him up good. I had him team up with Zyrxog and become the recipient of an undead graft. He met the party in the sewers, in company with three minotaur zombies and Ixiaxian (who got away after provoking a party member's arrest), on the way to Zyrxog's lair. The look on my player's face when the bony left arm came out from under the cloak was priceless. See my campaign log these forums for details. /shameless plug.

Nice touch with the undead graft.

Im thinking about more and more of having Filge be undead, a wight with his wizard levels and maybe a prestige class.

Any ideas for a good nasty evil prestige class??

Necromancer is the obvious one but need cleric lvls for that.. Not got books to hand, but the PALE MASTER???

Anyone else bring back filge?

Filge is a PC in my party, actually. The party allied with him instead of using force to get the Land skeletons back, and he accompanied them through "Three Faces of Evil" - long enough to find all the incriminating evidence about Smenk's involvement with the cult. He then took off with an armful of incriminating documents to confront his "old friend". Filge's dream had always been to have a little undead vassal state of his own, but his power-play for Diamond Lake failed - his tomb mote sent a note to the PCs explaining that he had to go away for a while...

He rejoined the group (as a full PC) for the Champions' Games, with a skeletal hand (Smenk had cut one off for betraying him) and a grudge. He opposes the cult of Kyuss because he doesn't believe that anyone should be the God of the Undead if it isn't him. He's since killed Balabar Smenk and animated him as a flameskull, and his disturbing undead "family" has been expanded, both in terms of backstory and members (his "daughter" was a slaymate named Debbie, but she was destroyed in the battle with Smenk).

The party's about to start Dawn of A New Age, and Filge is about to transcend into lich-hood. It remains to be seen whether he or Kyuss is truly a greater threat to the party at this point...

My group just returned to Diamond Lake and are working with the survivors. They're dealing with Smenk right now, but I can't wait to bring back Filge. He was turned over to the Chapel of Tyr (Hieroneous), who hobbled him for his crimes. Now that the majority of the Tyr-worshippers died fighting Ilthane, Filge is crawling his way out, collecting all of the spare corpses he can find.
