Discussing Non Paizo Adventures and Products on the Boards

Scarab Sages

I come here to discuss my games and related topics. I browse other messageboards but I actually participate here. Not as much as others, but I do. What I would like to know is how Eric, James, Jason, Lisa, Vic and everyone else feel about us discussing non paizo adventures and other products here. The new digital Dungeon will soon arrive and I will check it out. I understand that WotC will now be competing with you in a way that they did not previously. I also think that most of you will be there right along with me, checking out the competition yes, but getting your geek on as well.

The point is this. There is no way in hell I wish to try and have a serious discussion on Gleemax. I have learned where the best RP community on the web is and I have no intention of moving.

Thank you
Tam

Liberty's Edge

All competition must be crushed under the sandaled fist of Paizo.
I don't think they care actually

I think Paizo would welcome the discussions for a variety of reasons.

1) The action and banter is here, not elsewhere.
2) Paizo employees and official contributors will be able gauge its core customers opinions on not only their products, but competitors as well. This in turn will make their product better.

I should mention that flames are relatively few here, and when they do happen are short-lived. Also, the Paizo message board gods allow a great amount of freedom here. I like that very much.

All will be assimilated! Resistance is futile!

I would have to say that GREEN RONIN and Alderac Entertainment have some of the coolest books for new pc races that can work in any game.

I'd have to agree that - other than Paizo - Green Ronin (some great campaign settings, Thieves' World!) and Alderac (7th Sea/Swashbuckling Adventures) are my favorites. Fantasy Flight (Midnight, Dragonstar and the old Legends and Lore sourcebooks) and Atlas (Nyambe/Northern Crown/Penumbra) can be fun too.

Not to discredit Paizo, but I thought the crowd at Hero Games was quite civil…save for one.

Alcohol is better than both of them combined.

;)

But as a gamer I must opine that Mountain Dew is equal to alcohol (though my DM may disagree).

It's definitely FAR more appropriate when gaming. I've gamed with a drunk GM before. NOT FUN.

At my game last night we drank home-brewed root beer.
