When the PC's are getting ready to depart for farshore in SWW, how long had the colony been in existance?

Actually, when the PCs hit up Farshore, if any of them know Sylvan (the language it's written in, I think), have them read out any interesting passages at the game table to other players. I love props, anyways.
EDIT: Sorry. I should have mentioned that this also should provide extra info regarding the formation of the colony, also.
