Sect are you getting anywhere with your background? If you have any questions let me know. I am sure you are busy finishing up your RotRL Pbp so don't worry you have until Monday.

Sorry. Twelve hour days every day without access to game material makes things... difficult. I already have my character's background idea'd, though.

Yeah I have the same problem, trying to remember some obscure rule while I am at work is pretty hard.

Tomorrow, while I'm at work, I'll do a stream of conciousness post like I did Firathir's in the Twisting Darkness game. That'll be my background.

And I'll work on putting the crunch on my character tonight.

::sigh:: How does it go... I'm sorry, I screwed up again, I'm a penis, I'll never do it again.

Anyways, wasn't able to get any of that done. Crap. I'll do it tomorrow, I promise! The day after, I have the day off, so I'll stay up late and complete it! I will succeed!

Don't sweat it Sect. Dreamweaver is Bow hunting in the middle of Montana with no internet. I am at home with the kids so I will be posting my character stuff and what not but he will not be home until Monday or so. Yes I am grumpy about being alone on a three day weekend with the kids while he is out sitting by a tree reading his books so in retaliation I did a little home improvements courtesy of his Home Depot credit card. Yea there are a few issues he might need to fix, like the two holes in the wall but overall the four year old thinks I did a great job!! :) I hope you all are having a great weekend!

Female Halfing Rogue

Roderick and Fair Tuon, you may want to check out the last little bit of my background it still needs quite a bit of work but at least Dreamweaver can't gripe at me when he gets home about not getting any of this done. I am sure that he will add to it and it would be great if you would do the same, only on your backgrounds. Also what city did you two grow up in as I was trying to figure out where you would be traveling from so that I could place myself there as well and maybe include a previous run in with the two of you before hand so that when we meet again in Dragon Spines you would welcome me to travel with you. Ok I think that is it let me know what you all think!

Thanks

It would be good to have a guide to Keepers Dale.

I'll do what you asked later.

Cheers

Great background Sect. Dreamweaver is coming home a day early so he will be able to go over all of the info and we should be able to start tomorrow.

FYI our 1 1/2 year old has a temp of 103 degrees so Dreamweaver posting tonight may not happen sorry for the inconvenience.

That's okay, we're cool.

... In comparison to your muchacho.

... Okay, that's a bit debatable for me. It's a bit hot here.

... I'll shut up.

Here we go I posted the opening here

Hey Dreamweaver, I read the opening scenes of your game - looks cool. I like how you and your players have arranged for the PCs to meet, a bit more exciting than "You're all in a tavern..." Cool!

Thanks Mothman, we will see how insane it will get with the two groups separated by 100 miles for a while.

Has anyone hear from Blue Wizard? The last time I have him posting was the 28th I think. Not a big deal he hasn't posted yet I was just wondering.

Wow, is Dragon Spine THAT wide?

Your about 40 miles north of Keepers Dale and the other group is still about 60 miles west.

Blue Wizard you out there some where?

Yes, I'm sorry! My coworker's father has been very very ill and I've been super busy at work. Sorry. Hopefully things will be back to normal very soon.

No problem, you were just posting pretty frequently and then just stopped so I was wondering if something happened to you, glad your back just in time for the fun.

The Exchange

Nice to have you back brother.

Cheers

Utak if you had money to buy armor and a weapon for \-*^/ what would it be?

My first thought would be a spear. It is a simple two-handed weapon which will allow me some extra umph with the 1.5 str. bonus to damage. A club seems to fit the character also. I wasn't going to worry about a ranged weapon, with Eldritch Blast and all. For armor: Just leather or studded leather. Probably plain leather. But feel free to surprise me. I have no problem starting out with nothing and then finding improvised weapons. It is making things interesting and fun.

Cool thanks.

Alright time to discuss the NPC guy posting rules.

In all the other games I am playing we give people 12 hours to post less important stuff (ex. initiative, save throws that sort of thing) and 24 hours for more important (ex. should I jump down that dark hole filled with the snarling sounds.)

This changes to 24 and 36 over the weekends. The posting for absent players is done by a 'leader' so you would decide on the leader and they would post for the player missing for the allotted time.

Does this sound like a good plan? If so you can decide who it will be.

This sounds familiar ....

Hey Dreamweaver, I, of course, have some experience with this and would be fine being the 'leader' pending the approval of others.

This does remind me, just in case you missed it in the Stormreach Discussion Thread, my wife and I will be away for our vacation to Canada from 9/23-10/5.

It looks like Utak and Sect are having all the fun so I will post for Roderick tomorrow morning. After that unless anyone objects Utak will take over are the 'leader' and post for the absent players until he leave for vacation.

The Exchange

I am happy to be a leader when Utak is away.

Cheers

Excellent, sorry that you have been left out of the game but I will fix that right know.

The Exchange

It doesn't bother me. More concerned that Blue Wizard is so busy and is missing all the action.

By the way, well done for getting combat within the first "page" 50 posts of a campaign.

But I'm looking forward to getting stuck into the goblin horde.

I forgot to mention that I am happy with Utak as a leader. Even if he does favour half-orcs.

Cheers

French Wolf if you are alright holding off on your side for a bit longer that would be alright, I know Nani is pretty busy with work also.

Half-Orcs = Cool

Introducing ...

Female Elvish ( Its in my ears) Mother6/Wife6

Sorry that I have been so busy lately and haven't been able to post alot. Yes I am getting dirty looks when Dreamweaver gets home and he asks if I have read the posts yet for the day and I tell him no. I will try to get on here a bit more but it would help if our faithful leader would respond to what is going on in the caravan (hee hee I can say that and not get into trouble)

The caravan group is going to be put on hold until Blue Wizard makes it back if that is Ok with Nani and French Wolf.

Male to Charles, my favorite pizza shop Dork 10, Husband 5, Paizonite 5, Accountant 0, Self-Entertainer 12

French Wolf,

I want to thank you for NPCing my silly Half-Orc while I am away. Feel free to check his profile and let me know if you have any questions.

Cheers

The Exchange

Utak

One thing that strikes me is his "name". At some point he is going to get one. My own half-orc that suffered with temporary memory loss was named Den by the players because he bore a holy druidic symbol of the god Denev.

Is this something you could resolve with Cort this week or are you happy to just let the dice roll and see what happens? What do you think?

Male to Charles, my favorite pizza shop Dork 10, Husband 5, Paizonite 5, Accountant 0, Self-Entertainer 12

I figured that this would come up and resolve itself through some silly role-playing:

Cort: "They call me Cort. What do you go by?"

Half-Orc: "Vy dun'ow."

Cort: "OK then, I will call you Stinky. Sound Good?"

Well something like that anyway. Hopefully we can resolve this before I leave, but if not feel free to have fun with finding a name. Anything but Spanky. Spanky - The Half-Orc just has a bad ring. :)

I got critical hit deck yesterday so we can start using it if you would like. You will have the option of drawing a card or taking the regular crit damage.

"Critical Hit Deck" doesn't seem like a very good name for a half-orc.

Male to Charles, my favorite pizza shop Dork 10, Husband 5, Paizonite 5, Accountant 0, Self-Entertainer 12

Critical Hit Deck, Hmm, has a good ring to it, maybe make it into an acronym pronounced Chid. Just dont replace the 'C' with an 'S' and the 'D' with a 'T'.
