Bruce Campbell
was in
the despicable Spider-man III
with
a bunch of nitwits. Oh, and James Cromwell! But I've used him before, so we'll go with Thomas Haden Church instead.
My head still hurts from watching this movie. I know Bruce was in the Evil Dead series, but I can't for the life of me remember who else were in them. Sorry, y'all.

Had to look up a picture, as his name tells me nothing. But a picture can say more than a thousand words...
Looking up pictures is fair game; I had to do it with the border patrol kid from "Melchiades."
Kris Kristofferson was in
"Payback"
with that guy who looks just like Kevin Bacon, but isn't... even though he has the same voice, too. If that's too vague, he plays one of the crooked cops. (If that's still too vague, he's the one that's not Bill Duke.)

Mel Gibson
Technically, it's not the same movie as "Payback". ^_^

Well, given that the title is "Payback: Straight Up, the Director's Cut of Payback," that point is debatable--but then again, I didn't know the name of Kevin Bacon's twin! "Straight Up" it is!
Helena Bonham Carter was in
"Wallace and Gromit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit"
with Ralph Fiennes.

Yes, but the theatrically released "Payback" is pretty different to the director's cut, since the movie was changed to alter Mel's character.

So I understand; I've jumped it to the top of my Netflix queue--I enjoyed both "Point Blank" (gotta love Lee Marvin) and the theatrical cut of "Payback." Time to check this one out as well. Thanks for the heads-up!

Marky-Mark was in
"We Own the Night"
Without any of the funky bunch, but with a bunch of Russians and with Robert Duvall.
I saw this a couple of weeks ago; the first half had me thinking, "Man, this is so cool! This has great promise--can't wait to see what happens!" Then I sat through the second half and said, "Meh." Total let-down.

Robert Duvall f#*!ing rocks. Not only has he done a number of classics, but he
was in
the awesome Thank you for smoking
with
the lovely Maria Bello
Great movie, based on a great book. As for We own the night -was that the Russian mafia-vampire movie? It looks pretty cool, but that might just be the ads

"Thank You For Smoking" was excellent indeed. "We Own the Night" is the one where Joachim Phoenix runs the club that's a Russian mob front--unbeknownst to them, his family are all cops. Thankfully no vampires in it, though; I've had enough of them until probably the year 2056 or so.
Maria Bello was in
"Payback" ("Straight Up," if you prefer)
with the excellent William Devane.

This one was tough, but I think I've cracked it. This time, I remember the name, but not the face. He's probably changed a bit between these two movies anyway. ;P
William Devane
was in
the uber-mega-classic Marathon Man
with
an all-star cast, including the one and only Roy Schneider
Once again, a great movie based on a great book. Pooh-pooh to all those who say that good books never turn out well on celluloid!

Maybe because William Goldman (The Princess Bride) wrote the novel and the screenplay both for Marathon Man. William Devane, btw, has recently been doing really outstanding work with Tom Selleck in the "Jesse Stone" movies on CBS.
Roy Scheider was in
"Naked Lunch" (by far the most messed-up movie I have ever seen; it took me like 2 days to re-establish my sense of normality after that one)
with the super-cool Peter Weller

Those are good points. Maybe I have just been lucky with my books-to-movies experiences. I have to agree about Naked Lunch - I never managed to finish the book, and the movie had me questioning my sanity for a while, and not in a good way, either.
Peter Weller
was in
RoboCop - hell, he was RoboCop! -
with
um... who else? The dad from "That 70ies Show", whatever his name is. And wasn't Miguel Ferrer in it as well?
